Their faces are so relaxed and their fingers move so naturally, so there is no tension in their playing and the music is so fluid. To play this well, the vibration of the strings must resonate with the vibration of their souls. Thank you.

@@freefree7883 The Marcello-Bach concerto is in the usual three movements of an Italian instrumental concerto. Here they are: 1. unmarked (Allegro assumed), 2. Adagio, 3. Presto. The shell of the first movement is very clearly Marcello's work; but Bach is quick to thicken the lean, open textures of the original -- at the center of the movement things grow very dense indeed, with imitative, hand-against-hand sixteenth notes building up to eight-voice chords. The Adagio has a limber solo line atop steady eighth notes, while the Presto finale is a 3/8 time romp in near-continuous sixteenth notes, and almost exclusively in two contrapuntal voices.

Their playing reminds me of the husband & wife duo Ida Presti &
    Alexandre La Goya
They sounded like one when they
    Played together.
Beautiful duo so nice to hear such beautiful music still being played.

I agree... but I would remind you this is a guitar transcription of a Bach transcription. The original is Marcello's genius.

@@Mouet01 The adagio is actually my least favorite part. In fact I sometimes skip over it. It is sweet, like afterglow, but it's too slow for me. I like some Energy! Why do you like the adagio?

probably because I had in the ear I'm not a fan of all the adagios but the moment I commented it made me hover

Amy S - No, it's not just you. I'm the same way, even with respect to the entire 3 movements. But especially the presto. I can tell you some of the reasons for so many replays-it's the amazing counterpoint combined with the phrasing, tone and articulation of Drew and Michael.

Absolutely wonderful to listen to....Two instruments playing as one...The presto was astonishing. Praise must be given to Bach for his glorious achievement in composing so many wonderful pieces and to know that they will outlive us all. Thank you for posting.

The up close and personal view/in your face so to speak, of these highly committed and talented musicians is an extra treat not enjoyed at a live concert. I am getting as much satisfaction from watching them perform in a calm serene manner that i need desperately during the trauma in my life. I am 83 years old. Thank you thank you. Namaste🙏🏻
