Right. Its A. Marcello. Bach probably arranged it for solo keyboard. Then maybe they transcribed to guitar. I cant get enough of this interpretation. These guitarrist are truly guitar geniuses.

The shell of the first movement is very clearly Marcello's work; but Bach is quick to thicken the lean, open textures of the original -- at the center of the movement things grow very dense indeed, with imitative, hand-against-hand sixteenth notes building up to eight-voice chords. The Adagio has a limber solo line atop steady eighth notes, while the Presto finale is a 3/8 time romp in near-continuous sixteenth notes, and almost exclusively in two contrapuntal voices. We have listened to this music by various orchestras and masters such as Holliger. But I am perplexed to hear such a beautiful transcription on guitar. There is absolutely more to life than politics and daily chores and they both give me hope and joy of life that there there is a future.

Amy S - No, it's not just you. I'm the same way, even with respect to the entire 3 movements. But especially the presto. I can tell you some of the reasons for so many replays-it's the amazing counterpoint combined with the phrasing, tone and articulation of Drew and Michael.

@@Mouet01 The adagio is actually my least favorite part. In fact I sometimes skip over it. It is sweet, like afterglow, but it's too slow for me. I like some Energy! Why do you like the adagio?
probably because I had in the ear I'm not a fan of all the adagios but the moment I commented it made me hover
Amy S - No, it's not just you. I'm the same way, even with respect to the entire 3 movements. But especially the presto. I can tell you some of the reasons for so many replays-it's the amazing counterpoint combined with the phrasing, tone and articulation of Drew and Michael.

Absolutely wonderful to listen to....Two instruments playing as one...The presto was astonishing. Praise must be given to Bach for his glorious achievement in composing so many wonderful pieces and to know that they will outlive us all. Thank you for posting.

Found by chance. Wonderful, melodious, crystal clear and very cleanly played. The guitars sound very good. Every single tone sounds exactly as it should sound. Thank you!
The up close and personal view/in your face so to speak, of these highly committed and talented musicians is an extra treat not enjoyed at a live concert. I am getting as much satisfaction from watching them perform in a calm serene manner that i need desperately during the trauma in my life. I am 83 years old. Thank you thank you. Namaste🙏🏻
