    Many thanks to Paul & Sam. Always a pleasure to listen to the most iconic, knowledgeable and successful guitar builder on the planet!
    Every guitar builder, company and player owe an immense debt to PRS who single-handedly built quality back into the guitar making industry back in the 80's when all the historic companies had driven it into the ground for easy profits.
    No matter what make of guitar you play, it's only as good as it is because Paul Reed Smith set the benchmark.
    Sincere thanks Paul and god bless mate.
    Ky 👍👍

    Wind through the trees is so organic sounding and that is really what makes the pedal stay on your board imo

    Great interview. He's right about your shop too...

    “This isn’t the guitar that made me think that. These are the guitars I was repairing in our repair shop.” 😆 Forty years later, I own an S2 McCarty 594 Singlecut that obviously resembles a LP, but screams quality control.

    ‘Too opulent’ 😂 a PRS…. that’s what it is! PRS builds very very nice guitars but he is also a master salesman. I have played lots of PRS guitars and owned a few. They don’t produce magic notes. They are just electric guitars, that are nicely made… no better than a ton of other guitars.

    I have 2015 Custom 24 in Faded Whale Blue. The Blue completely faded away within 5 years of owning it and now it is just a natural flame top with a bit of blue hue. Bit of a shame, but still the best guitar I have ever owned or played.

    Such a strange individual….why is he hanging his head for more than half the interview while this guy is talking to him? Brilliant guitars but just plain odd.

      Jet lag, also, he’s quite a brilliant character. Watch other interviews with him. Humble and unique but certain and confident.

    That guy thinks 70s guitars are good !! 70s guitars are horrible ! Fenders and Gibson’s from that era are what started the vintage guitar market ! I realize that the guy doesn’t know anything !

    • @GuitarVillageFarnham
      @GuitarVillageFarnham  Год назад +1

      As Paul mentioned in the video, 70's guitars can be a lesson in what to do and what not to do in guitar building! Worth remembering also that Paul has probably handled more 70's guitars than the average person!

      good and bad but more bad in that era and heavy but there were quite a few diamonds in the rust

    Far be it from me to disagree with Mr. Smith but MY problem with pedals is that they exist. He admitted he is old school-school as am I and younger players today play their pedals instead of their guitars...a the while making the most horrible un-guitar like noise.

    These are hideous guitars….get a Fender or Gibson.
