I Build And Fit A Workshop Window

The plans for the shed always had space for a window. As the sun was still getting hotter, the shed did also, so my next build was this simple window.
Still sitting on the hype from the previous 3 successive videos, I wanted to tone it back again with this instrumental from Clams Casino. I listed to the A$AP rocky version non stop and it's the soundtrack for many cool/reflective moments for me. So I wanted to edit to it.
This edit also has captions explaining what I'm doing or why I'm doing something. This was in response to a friend suggesting I do it so people watching know what I'm doing.
This was however, laborious. Hat's off to people who do that, but it killed the fun a bit for me and won't work with my usual pace of editing. You probably won't see that for a while unless more people request it.
The window went well, I didn't have a rabbit router bit so I cut the frame short and used baton on the inside to pin the glass. The window now acts like a picture frame for the church and country in the background. It was always a nice view and it was a shame to let it go to waste.
The window swings open wide so it cans still be used to pass things below to the garden as we always have but may no longer need to do.
Months down the line I did have to battle several leaks from the window, but I saw this coming so just used it as an opportunity to find what needed fixing, waiting until the next spring and patched up the offending areas.
Mistakes made: not having a pocket hole joiner jig and screwing into end grain. The window is fine though as the rest of the components help strap it all together.
And not using the correct hinges. They started to rust and will need replacing.
New Skills: Custom window building and fitting, multitool revelations, glass sourcing and fitting.
Overall, lovely outcome with probably loads of future upkeep required. Time will tell. But it does look nice and I like the pace of the video. Might do a similar one or a combination.
