    For the first time since the introduction of video assistants in the Bundesliga, a referee has taken back a red card. Harm Osmers had dismissed Eintracht Frankfurt's Marius Wolf in the game against Bayern, but after discussions with his video assistants and reviewing the footage himself, the official downgraded his decision to a yellow card. The odd thing was that Wolf was already in the changing room when he was called back to the pitch.

    Best decision by the referee. This is how VAR is supposed to be used. Well done.

    Red wasn’t a completely unwarranted call but yellow was more appropriate. Glad to see they have implemented this.

    Good to be honest. The red wasn't a horrid call, but I would say more towards yellow for sure. He was able to move the ball in time to trick him going into the slide, but he still two footed from behind. I am glad Bundesliga does this, especially in La Liga it's disgusting how they still don't have this. It's not a "disgrace" and it's not looking at action replays for 30 minutes with commercials, it takes less than a minute and it makes the game so much better.
    With all the diving in La Liga anyways, you'd think they don't care about time wasting anyway.

    • @EMETRL
      @EMETRL 6 лет назад

      It's not really so much the diving that's been the issue this season in La Liga. It's the wrong calls left and right. Barcelona had a goal stolen from them because the blind refs didn't see the ball cross the goal line, and that cost them 2 points. The next week, a fantastic goal from Suarez was ruled offside when it wasn't even that close. That would have been barcelona ahead in the first half, and completely changed the course of the game. It probably robbed another 2 points.
      As a barca fan I watch their games the most but from some of the highlight reels, it looks like barcelona isn't alone. There's been a handful of offside goals allowed too.

      Leafs Laugh Last He really started to get attention at Wolfsburg after he led them to a 2nd place finish and a DFB cup win, before that him a Lukaku were known as youngsters who have somewhat of an amount of potential which is why Lukaku was loaned out to west Brom then sold to Everton and De Bruyne was loaned out to Bremen in the 2012-13 season then they sold him to Wolfsburg in 2013-14 so really even then he was made in the Bundesliga .

    Like the ability to replay some of these things but the refs, or should I say the league, should get a deal with google glass to be able to see the replays there. The beauty of the sport is that is a tireless 45 minute periods and the 5 minute break of having to go look a replay makes it feel more like basketball. The league would get a sponsorship deal with google and probably get better efficiency and money for it!

    Can't wait for the world giants to get these kinds of systems, this will make things both fair and unwanted. We will talk about how in the old times it used to be a mans game, and now its a babys game that will make every big call in big games just waste time. I dont hate it but Im not a fan of this sytem. It'll be good for those clubs that have stoles titles in the past that way getting help from the ref will no longer be a thing

    Es una verguenza que nuestros jugadores sudamericanos sean unos tramposos y farsantes de primera, especialmente los que juegan en Europa. Aqui se ve claramente que Wolf ni lo toco, pero James hizo un drama y un teatro asqueroso que impresionó y engañó al arbitro, sacandole tarjeta roja a Wolf, pero que gracias a que ahora pueden ver la repetición en video, el arbitro revirtió la roja por la amarilla, permitiendo a Wolf seguir jugando. Le deberían haber mostrado la roja a James por descarado, estos jugadores sinverguenzas deberían ser sancionados severamente para que aprendadn a tener decencia y honestidad, por lo menos deportiva. Por eso que no los respetan y ven a los sudamericanos en en nivel inferior, faltos de carácter, gente que les nace engañar a otros se creen "pícaros", astutos, cuando es todo lo contrario, son unos imbeciles de "primera clase". Hoy día jugaron el Bayern contra el Stuttgart (1-0) (12/16/2017) y a James lo patearon como a un perro sarnoso y el arbitro no cobró nada, me alegro mucho, que lo sigan pateando todos los dias que juegue, y no que sea por mucho tiempo, porque ya sus propios compañeros y los entrenadores no lo van a respetar y lo van a poner en la banca. Y no esta jugando bien tampoco, hoy dia James se perdió un gol solo frente al arco, incredible!, un niño de 10 años lo hacía. Que se vaya a su Colombia natal (su propia gente) donde se aprecia y estima al "picaro" como él. Y quiero dejar claro que todos los Colombianos que yo he conocido son gente buena, decente y culta, son solo unas pocas manzanas podriadas. Y este es n mensaje para todos los sudamericanos en general, especialmente a los brasileños, argentinos y uruguayos, que son los peores en el futbol. Sean honestos, sean sinceros, descentes dentro y fuera de la cancha de futbol, ustedes son los embajadores de nuestros paises en el extranjeros. Hagan que nos respeten y nos traten bien con lo major que ustedes puedan dar.

      Because it’s easier to see what goes on over camera footage than to try and listen to someone’s voice in a loud echoing stadium. And it is so much faster...same reason we use whistles, colored cards, flags, and literally every other hand signal present in football referees already.
