    Looking for a lightweight sling that's minimalist and functional?
    The Sympl Phone Sling is here to cover all your needs as it's a great pocket reliever.
    It is a vertical sling that can be worn horizontally, or you can easily remove the strap and make it a pouch! This small sling can only fit up to an iPhone Pro Max plus a couple of your small travel essentials like wallet/cards, mini notepads, pens, etc. It's made with durable and weatherproof materials, so regardless of the weather, you are definitely good to go!
    Another thing about it is that it can be attached to other Sympl backpacks through its magnetic attachment point. You may also attach it to your pants but we are kind of concerned for its security overall.
    To learn more about our honest thoughts about the Sympl Phone Sling, watch our video for an in-depth review!

    I have this Sympl phone sling and love it. It’s my everyday carry “pocket reliever” as you call it, perfect name for it lol. I haven’t had the need to connect it to any of my sympl backpacks yet, so don’t have feedback on that. But as a vertical sling it’s phenomenal and fits my iPhone 15 pro max, battery bank, air pods, 5 cards, pocket knife, pen, chapstick, house keys and car key fob and there’s still extra room. But I don’t carry any bulky items really, besides my iPhone with a case and my AirPods in their case.

  • @arlencarlson
    @arlencarlson Месяц назад

    I have this item…yet to use it though. It’s actually the third of my actual Phone slings. Have one from YNOT…but that clips to the backpack only. I started using the ALPAKA Phone sling on a recent trip and loved it. I think the Sympl one improves on that IF you need just a little bit more space. Shall see which I end up using more at this point.

    What I'd really like to do with this-- or the Alpaka phone/ modular slings-- is use the loops at the top to attach it to my belt. Does anyone know of any kind of clip, carabiner, buckle, anything that could help convert one of these pouches into a phone holster?

  • @jonuiuc
    @jonuiuc Месяц назад

    For this very small size the belt style carry sorta works, feels like it should be attached to a backpack shoulder strap or somthing, like a phone holster. I like shoulder/crossbody if the bag is sorta bigger, but if its small like this feels like sling or fanny type form factor works better. Maybe if you have a giant heavy phone and your elastic drawstring shorts cant hold the weight in its pockets.

    Hey Aaron have you review the Matador Speed Stash and the Alpaka Modular Sling? I'm currently considering the Sympl as well as the mentioned to strap on my CTB26 to store my phone (Samsung S23 Ultra), wallet, watch, passport and other quick access items during customs inspection. Let me know your thoughts dude. Gracias amigo

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  6 дней назад +1

      yo! never reviewed the speed stash but just shot our review of the Alpaka Modular Sling. Pretty cool bag, should store everything you need, but I have no idea how well it will connect to the CTB26

    • @KelvinHew7
      @KelvinHew7 6 дней назад

      @@Nomads.Nation hey Aaron I just went to one of the leading shops here in Malaysia (Search for Oribags) to test out both the Speed Stash and the Modular Sling. Here are my thoughts: The Speed Stash is a bit too small. My S23 Ultra fits snugly, and there's only black and white. Boring so it's a no go for me. On the other hand, the Alpaka Modular Sling is a better fit. The Velcro straps fits perfectly on the CTB26 harness straps, just need to lock it down man. The main compartment is bigger. However based on the volume of each compartments inside and the front magnetic compartment, just need to manage my loadouts. I can also detach it and use it as a sling so my Day Sling 3 may stay back home during my travels 😆. I love RX30 Ocean Blue so I'm going for that fabric and colour. I have yet to test out the Sympl Phone Sling, and it's more expensive than the Alpaka and Matador.

    I have a no-name pouch of the same size that doesn't have a carry strap, only two MOLLE style fabric straps with beefy metal clips to wear on a belt, it's much better than the magnetic solution here. Like, to be fair they don't advertise it as a belt pouch but my pouch would also be much more securely attached to a backpack strap. I wouldn't trust the Sympl pouch in this configuration to be honest, though as a vertical pouch it's kinda neat.

    I would like a wee pouch to strap to backpack strap for a phone when out and about on holiday and need to carry more than a sling. I would not want a sling and a backpack when out and about for the day. This seems a bit too big for that though

  • @LimWJ2023
    @LimWJ2023 Месяц назад

    Functions more like a backpack shoulder strap pouch with it's capacity and size.. Phone, cards & work pass, keys, mini wallet, earbuds, pens, mini note books or passport and tissues wipe. Own using opinion from similar pouch design like the alpaka modular pouch.. I prefer the phone compartment to do without the card slots separator for bigger space allowing easier access of the phone in and out of the pouch. The rest of the separator dividers opposite the phone storage compartments are ideal for my work pass id cards, mini wallets, passport, mini note book & pen and tissues wipe. 😂

    Feels like statically speaking, for some reason I think putting the phone on a bag makes it more likely to get stolen or lost than you always holding it all the time or using a phone lanyard or even putting it on your pocket at least in my own experience. I only lost 1 phone in my life and it was stolen in my bag from there on I almost don't put my phone in any bag anymore lol. Well this will be great as a pocket alternative just I will not put my phone in it. Will it fit a compact umbrella though?

    I like much of what Sympl is doing; their design ethos speaks to me, in similar vein as Aer. Which is clearly their primary targeted competitor. I do think magnetic everything is kinda overrated for practical reasons; among them in this case is definitely theft of a pouch that screams “big expensive phone”. Meanwhile, my biggest complaint with this model, as an owner, is that it’s a great overall design. However, it needs a little extra interior volume. It will fit in the main compartment AirPods Pro, a 15 Pro Max, cards, and a pen. However, the spaces are cut so tightly that there’s no way to use the case as intended with any sort of casing whatsoever on the $2k phone. That to me is automatically a deal breaker.
