Very useful, thanks. For the period of my grandparents, there was so little material, that it was easy to get the stories right. But for my parents´ generation, I need to start with the stories, step 5. These will form a structure into which the photo material will fit. Now, these stories also must make it clear what life was like in that period. So I can use photos from the Internet to tell stories about typical scenes and activities then.
I´m using Libre Office and Google Docs to do this. My raw photos are on a NAS.
I think this project is a generational matter. I am retired since a decade and feel this obligation to my parents and to my grandchildren. My children are in their forties, busying around and think they know and understand everything there is to be known. I still have much time to do this.
There must be many baby boomers like myself with similar ideas, but I haven´t found any circles.

Do you want to add it to the background of a spoken word recording or add music to your collection?

@@suestrickland7815 if you want to do a little montage of photos you can do that easily on Google Sheets, PowerPoint etc with a bit of work, but to do it super quick I like Filmora by Wondershare, you do have to buy it but it is really easy to use. 😁
