What is your photo deletion top tip?

My main problem is that I keep the bulk of my architectural photos in separate Apple Photos. Excite Foto requires me to empty the photos into a single folder. I’ve got 400 albums and upwards of 40,000 photos. I love the program but it’s driving me mad.

If you are still baffled as to why you still can't merge folders...I got you: In File Explorer hit the three dots next to view and select "Options". Next, you gotta select "View". In the Advanced Tab uncheck that bullshit that says "Hide folder merge conflicts". Done.

Motorola E14 won't allow this function. As far s I can tell I cannot change photo names.

But still, you can't have albums using the structure at least you made them manually. Why Amazon is laking this basic feature?

Hello, re; FastFoto dating feature, Q1; can you edit photo date after it has been scanned ? I have literally thousands of photos in numerous albums, with most albums spanning multiple years & events. I would like to batch scan the photos per album (maybe 10 or 20 at a time) and go back to each photo and edit the date. Will the software allow me to do this ? Q2. Along the same line of thinking, the photo digitizing project/task may be divided bt siblings, some who only scan, some who would 'at a later date' take care of dating and naming each photo, .. will the software allow this 'back editing' ?

You seem to have done quite a bit of research, and i am hoping you can help me as i can't find anything that will work...what i think should be a simple task. I have thousands of photos stored the way i want them on windows in folders. I want to know if there is a program where i can just upload in the same file structure i have into an android app all in one swoop?

Thank you Amanda for a great video. How do I get my photos from scanning to saving them on my computer ( for creating of a photobook/coffebook) ? Does it mean I will have to pay a subscription ?

I have been a SmugMug customer for 16 years. I would highly recommend you thoroughly review SmugMug’s Terms of Service and Privacy Terms before considering their services. Just last week, without any warning, my lifetime’s work- millions of photos and 1000s of client galleries suddenly became inaccessible. It’s been nearly two weeks, over 20 emails and social media posts, and I have yet to hear from SmugMug. Dont naively believe, as I did this couldn’t happen to you.

I am considering the move from Google Photo to Amazon Photo. A key feature I use on Google is using chromecast to displays photos from specific albums. I have looked into Amazon FireStick which says it displays photo "collections" ?? In the Amazon app I see Albums and Folders...what are collections?

I have a question please. When I add my photos to a album/ folder they are still on my main photos. When I try to add more photos i can not tell what pics I have added compared to what I have not added? Can you help>? Great Video!!

Moved over to Mac which has reasonable options, but still nothing as helpful as Picasa for me.

This is all good information but a step by step video would be very helpfull enstead of just saying what we should do. Not everyone is familiar with all these programs and options.

Hello Amanda and thank you for this concise and very clear video. Your presentation style is very friendly, as well as precise and professional. Well done! My question is: Will either or both of these utilities work the same on RAW image files? I noticed that your screenshots only specified JPEG files. I just returned from 3 1/2 weeks in Europe with about 1,000 RAW images on my Sony DSLR camera. Sadly, I forgot to change the time zone, so all times were off by 7 hours for about a week. That I could live with. However, once I discovered the error, I entered the Sony menu to change the date/time and, in an act of blinding stupidity, entered 2023 for the year, instead of 2024. Ugh! I MUST fix the errant dates on hundreds of files, before importing the images into Lightroom. Otherwise the Catalog, sorting and search capabilities will be hopelessly bungled. Please advise.
