I'm not sure there's anyone who's music impacts me more than Grace. And i'm old enough to remember seeing the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show, so i've seen a hell of a lot of music. Grace is simply one of those rare generational talents.
I agree. John Prine is eternal. I saw Beatles on Ed Sullivan, too. Topo Gigio still says "Eddie, kiss me goodnight" in my memories. Grace has a good soul. I never knew "Tiny Light" could mean so much more than it did last year. Life is eternal; and love is immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight. Rossiter Worthington Raymond
Each time I find this I some how know I'm about to cry. Probably the best eulogy that could have been done for Mr. Prine. Makes me happy as the tears roll down my cheeks. Thanks Grace.
Grace, you are blessed with the most beautiful voice. I have been listening to music for 56 years and you are up at the top of my favorites. Not to take away from the songs you have written that still resonate with me and bring me to tears. I am an old baby boomer who was lucky enough to grow up with the most amazing music. You are an old soul and you have contributed to my life's song track.
Grace my grandfather, I met for 3 days. And I won't find Beaumont for 3 days. I didn't know in my home life. I spent 3 days with him. The microphone wont-work cause I got no teeth. But my grandfather missed the pressure fan problem. Mr. Brushiani was a great man and you own the whole town of island Palm Beach mark. I don't know if you know where that is. I'm sure you do. Watch out for the bears that big.I came from nothing and I am nothing. You are something to me.I listen to your music.Almost everyday.Grace partner you're amazing❤ 4:214:21
Thanks Grace... I have always loved John Prine. Also, let me take this opportunity to say you singing “Things I Never Needed” at Darryl’s house just sends me over the top! Thanks again.
During the 70s.. I was living in a house full of people.. I remember this album was on alot.. I Mean a lot.. Today I play that song , Sometime I relate to Hello in there a little more.. Rip John Prine.. you are missed
I wonder if Grace ever got to sing with John? That would have been a beautiful duet two old souls coming together as is in this beautiful tribute. There will be many things to remember this period of time by for me it will be loosing My Aunt Margie my sons godfather Donny and John Prine and all souls who were lost to this pandemic RIP and all the home spun music THANK YOU to all the Artists who have participated and helped us all to heal :(
Just beautiful and I’m sure John is just feeling so happy and proud. You are so talented and just a special soul yourself. God Bless and prayers from New Hampshire to you and yours stay safe and healthy you all.
Saw Bonnie perform Angel in 1978. Didn't think I'd ever hear a more beautiful song. Grace may not be better but every bit as good. Will miss John the rest of my years.
Heartwarming, heartbreaking lyrics and voice... God made a real Angel From Montgomery when he took Richard Lumbra last week at age 60. A free spirited, free rambling man who loved indians, horses and cuckoo clocks. Richard was born and raised in Montgomery, VT. Listening to you sing this song was a healing experience for me and my wife, Richard’s Irish twin. ❤️
Such a beautiful tribute. I always liked this song, but now I like it much more. (and you're right, artists live on through their work.) You are awesome!
Wonderful, heartfelt version. Powerful. This is a really great version. Obviously the tune is beyond classic, if there is such a category! John Prine has left us in body, but not in spirit. Thank you Ms. Potter.

Grace, I was blessed to see you and Susan Tedeschi do this gem at Red Rocks at your very first Red Rocks show. You two slid right out of this into "Sugaree" and right back again. The love on that stage that night was truly something to behold. It's on RUclips, ya'll. Beautiful. Thanks. I hear that some of John's ashes floated down the Green River. Maybe we can all take some peace in that.
Grace I’m a 55 year old Mormon guy I’ve lived a crazy life kept myself clean and straight as an arrow I’ve never been tempted by alcohol or drugs but johns music and your music have elevated my soul way out of the morass that is religion I’m a terrible musician and not much of a conversationalist but I can always play the things I never needed and release me and make me an angel and I can be as free as the good lord made me to be . Love from you’re absolute biggest fan !!!! Keep writing keep performing raise that little one and be you you’re the best
Bill, I am so glad for you. I cried at Potter's "Alive Tonight." A strange reaction, but it is the antithesis of the chains of religion, whether it be the Mormonism that enslaved you, the evangelicalism that sucks the life blood and tells us whom to love and what about them to hate, or the Islamic message that the times of the prophet justify the subjugation of women and all who do not prescribe to the "proper" way of serving God. I must disagree with you about whether you're her greatest fan, though... she told me in a song that I'M her biggest fan... lol ruclips.net/video/q0rkAhKFpgM/видео.html
Thank you so much, that song is my childhood and it's as if your version rips away layers of time.
Man, I thought I was sad when John Prine died. I did not know I could actually be more sad about it until listening to this.
🌿🦬🤍 Thank you, I had the privilege of knowing John . He came to Oklahoma .
John could always bring a wry smile to this old face, and you can always bring a tear. Thank you so much Grace, you both touch my heart.
