"But you are my children. I hoped I could teach you. Help you." "You did, long ago, when it was needed most. Our people were children then. Kukulkan, we've grown up now. We don't need you anymore." Virtually the entire series of Babylon 5 was about this.
"How Sharper Than A Serpent's Tooth" was an excellent episode along with "The Slaver Weapon", "The Counter Clock Incident", "The Pirates of Orion" and "The Jihad".
The Capellan Power Cat looked vicious when charged with energy, but once McCoy's hypo was injected into the animal it immediately became docile. This episode, although exciting, rehashed the same basic message from the live-action episode "Who Mourns for Adonais?"
One of the few times someone accuractly depicted myself fairly correctly. I really do enjoy this version. Kinda a sad fate to. Kulklakan being a old being who only wanted to help others yet also in a way no longer needed. A shame cause If he does still exist in the trek verse I would like to see him or a decendant appear. A live action feathered serpent would be glorious to have and its about time more of the world see's the other lore of others that is not demonized.

Way to many and most had no intentions of helping humanity. There's a difference between a god that sees humanity as children to care and raise and others that saw humanity as servants or play things. (i'm looking at Zues and his olympians in this case, bunch of hedonistic nuts especially Zues, Hades was pretty chill though. )
3:44 Spock has to one-up McCoy yet again!😁 Of course, he didn't mention this when it could have been useful! "Captain, we had something similar on Vulcan. But we dazzled them with our vast intellects."
Its not incorrect. I could imagine that Kulklakan likely became saddened and possibly horrified by the actions of humanity as time went on. Left for a while to calm down do some other projects and came back, seeing humans riding around in world ending starships and over several hundred years of increase in war and technology likely was OMG I need to help them before they do something horrible I shouldn't have neglected them moment. In the Lore he was supposed to be a fairly chill god that actually did care about humanity. I would know.. :P. Thankfully I'm not running off in a starship to cry about it. You humans made wonderful progress with tech like the Internet. Now if you can reign in those nut jobs that spreads mis-information and lies. the world would be a much more enlightened place.
I'd like that Capellan power-cat to be on a rampage the right place & time to change the minds of some animal-rights people who want every sacrifice made to avoid hurting any animals.
@@suggiethames9870 The explanation in the show was that Kukulkan sedated their bodies while providing their minds with the illusion of being in their natural habitat.

They couldn't have done a better job on this animated series of Star Trek than they did fantastic work especially with the animation!😀👍🛸👩🚀⭐🌟🌕👽
Where's Chekov in this series? He was a HUGE part of the original live action 60s series.
They should have more aliens like these in the live action Star Trek.
Its interesting that this episode was aired around the time that Erik Von Daniel's books were becoming very popular with the public.
The writer of this episode mentions "Chariots of the Gods" in the DVD commentary.
Erich von Däniken.

So this is Who Mourns For Adonais in cartoon form.

Did cucoocottle not ever run into Apollo and his people? How many different "gods" led mankind on Earth?
1st was Cucoo, then Apollo and his people and lastly Megas-Tu and his people.

Shame so many episodes had to rehash concepts from the original series. This "lesson" was already taught to Kirk's crew by Apollo.
