Saturday mornings were great to watch cartoons back in the 1970s! Animated Star Trek was executed flawlessly, with a variety of aliens besides Klingons and Romulans. The Argoans in "Ambergris Element," the Kzin from "Slaver Weapon," and a host of exotic aliens in "Jihad," notably Tchar the birdman and Em-three-green. "Time Trap" was an exciting episode, considering the half-hour airtime it was allotted
They made an episode with the Kzin?? I really want to see that one!
These shows were way too good for Saturday morning.
It's too bad the animation was so bad, because I agree it was very good otherwise.
Johnny Morales TAS is coming up on 50 years, maybe they will CGI this like with TOS......
These episodes kept the storyline as close as they could considering the limitations of animation & the restrictions NBC put on G.Roddenberry & Filmation. As it was these episodes were very expensive to create. Most expensive at that time.
Love hearing that suspenseful Filmation action music! And the stunning outer-space explosion special effect! Used in the opening for The New Adventures of Superman back in 1966, and used as late as 1977, I think, in an episode of Space Sentinels--well into Filmation's rotoscoping era. I had to freeze-frame it for a bit, just to appreciate all the detail that went into it.💥😊
Boom boom boom boom! Don't forget the sound effect.
Also, the writing. The explosive would go off when they reached warp 8. It went off as they slowed down.
Kirk - "That's what matters."
Uhura - "What, the screensaver?"
Kirk - No. We're home.
Back when Klingon Honor was more like guidelines... the monks were right, the Klingons DID need Kahlass The Unforgettable to return to them!
I always wondered why the Federation ended its bitter conflict with the Klingon Empire, and merged with it. The Klingons were originally brutal and thug like. The Romulans were much more honorable, yet never became Federation allies.
That sounds like Nichelle Nichols as the Orion girl. The two Orion women in the original series were Susan Oliver as Vina, in the first pilot episode, and Yvonne "Batgirl" Craig as the mentally-ill Marta in "Whom Gods Destroy".
Nichols and Majel Barrett did pretty much all the female voices on TAS.
@@jamierose9095 That's right. I recently watched all the animated episodes. James Doohan did many of the male voices. Budget couldn't afford to add Walter Koenig to the cast, although he did write one of the episodes ("The Infinite Vulcan").
Nichols also voiced the telepath here, I believe. She and Majel did most of the female voices in TOS. I liked Nichols most as the godlike alien in "Bem". A very commanding performance!
Nichelle Nichols had that VOICE...so blind men could fall in love with her even if they couldn't see her sexy washboard abs before it was acceptable for women to have visible stomach muscles!
I thought it was either the late Susan Oliver or the thankfully still with us at this writing Sherry Jackson; both of whom had sexy voices, too!
Rest in peace, Susan and Yvonne.
I love this episode!
Love thereel-to-reel computers at about 1:40.
Shame they couldn't get John Colicos to voice Kor.
* In Kor's voice * ...' It would've been glorrrrrius '..lol

Kirk and Orion women making green memories!
Kirk always gets some.
GOOOOORN!
Hope you guys make more animated movies like this like Star Trek or Star Trek the wrath of KhanAre star track versus the Transformers or something out of your comic books or your books from Star Trek
That's Nichelle ;) ;) ;)
Awesome Episode
That was really good
Amazing!!!
The lady in a bikini is supposed to be in charge of this parallel universe's JUDICIARY!
I have not (yet) actually watched TAS but I have some of the books. I've read this episode. 🙂
Why does this feel so much like Archer!
Kali the klingon woman looks like uhuru

friend of mine said that when normal space was on the enterprises view screen and kirk says that what matters was a closing for both the cartoon series and the original series .warf , is that a klingon? what happened , i dont want to talk about it.
IT DOESN'T MATTER, THATS WHAT MATTERS....LOL!
Devna is so gorgeous
Wonder if any others want to escape after they did.
Wasn’t that a Klingon seated next to Xarious when he passed judgement on the Klingons.
Yes it was! It must have been a shock for them to see him at peace with those other races.
I can mention if you star terk The prime directive or Star Trek The genesis wave or Doctor Who/Star Trek or Star Trek /The Green Lantern or Star Trek/The Legion of superheroes or shadows on the sun or the ashes of Eden and lost years this is of the titles you may consider for an animated movie
Star Trek voyager did a remake of this episode call void
It was pretty good.
How come they never mention the Star that the Orion's planet orbits
Oriana Women 🔥
Ship sex...enterprise on top, lol.
Remember that I’ve they fund Abraham Lincoln in TOS?
Klingon Da'har Master Captain Kor Commander Kaz Lieutenant Kali Klolode Class Battle cruiser Imperial Klingon Vessel I.K.V. Klothos Klingon Defense Force
That Klingon chick is hot!
I'll bet McCoy wanted to do more than dance with her, he doesn't strike me as a dancer. & 5 years is long time between lovings.
Disco.
Very.
Much.
Sucks.
I’d watch the worst episodes of voyager over best episodes of discovery
The worst episodes of Voyager are definitely extremely ironically enjoyable (looking at you Threshold).
Regarding Disco, I don't think it's *that* bad. It's just very different to all the other Star Trek shows and doesn't really retain the "Star Trek" feel. As a show, I'd say it's very good. But as a Star Trek show, not so much. Though I haven't quite made it to season 3 yet and I've heard it gets a bit better in seasons 3 and 4.
Most of the other newer Star Trek stuff is great though.
Also, this video has nothing to do with Disco. If all you can think of is "Disco is bad" whenever you see anything related to Star Trek, I feel bad for you.
@@daveharrenburg7670 Thanks!

Disco sux...nowhere near as much as using a period in the same sentence; especially putting words in succeeding lines.
I'll take Disco over that which people have let pass for "music" since 1994 anyday and twice on Sund'y. at least Disco musicians could actually sing and play music rather than rely on technology like autotune to compensate for lack of talent.
