And I'm hoping one day soon for whole new episodes of Star Trek to be made with actors with the right physiques and they already have AI that can duplicate voices, and to act out the the parts with their faces deep faked with the original actors faces, how they looked in their younger days. That would be something! Just imagine new shows and movies made with actors that have been long gone. I'm sure the day is coming. 🤩

The animated series (I have heard) continues the VALUES, and VIEWPOINT of freedom, equality, and high ideals portrayed in the original Star Trek series. The one difficulty with this is that Ens. Chekov and Lt. Arex get swapped, because Chekov (unfortunately) never appeared in the 70's Animated series. So I suppose Arex and Chekov must be very confused, and someone might notice. -- But hey, this is a super story idea! (Note, there's supposed to be a Lower Decks / Strange New Worlds crossover episode, and the Orville had a very different sort of 2D episode. But this fan film is going in its own interesting direction. Cool! Good job!)
I'm ashamed to say I didn't see it. But, The Orville is more like Trek than any of the new Trek shows, so It would've been a good inspiration. I just always had the idea to somehow connect the animated with TOS, as goofy as it might be. 😆
Fan film? It's mostly reused existing footage. It's clever. I'm not sure how they got the dialogue. Sampling? It's hilarious how the voices drop out at about 9 minutes.

@@morlockmeat The only sound issue I hear is that it sometimes sounds like a recording with a mic placed near a TV speaker. I used to record episodes like so.

The voice sound track kept cutting off. Their mouths were moving, but there was no sound. That would be great when encountering wild Karens, so nobody would have to hear their screeching and foul mouths, but it's not good when you are trying to watch a program.

I couldn't find any part where the voices cut out. Unless you were talking about the scene on the bridge when Kirk want to go to the briefing room - those were other voices.

Check your final audio in mono, sometimes some stereo files may be out of phase and cancel each other out, and as a result you have silence.

Can I just point out that ST was a CBS, not NBC program?
Star Trek TOS ran on NBC from 1966-1969 The Animated Series was also on NBC Saturdays from 1973-1974
CBS didn't own Star Trek until sometime in the mid-90's. But it was originally aired on NBC. 😉
