The little details in this make it absolutely fkn superb. The red-shirt transporting into the rock popped me so hard. 😂😂 How does this not have more views?
I like how they did the glow around the woman when we first see her and the boxes behind the Spock character that let you know he was behind the attempts to kill her.
I noticed that too. Also the sign for "Rottenberry's Fresh Fruit" after Krok and Scott land in the city. The apologies at the end, too. I agree; superb.
Red Shirt (Rock) guy is Ensign Bill's son. And you would have to remember that from an early, early Family Guy episode. This -> 2:39 is the Wilhelm Scream, BTW.
Love how an original story element is brought in (the giant statues), and then not used. Clever. There is just so much passion on display here, that I can't come up with anything better than 'WOW'. Kudos and sincere admiration to everyone involved.
@kellyq21 the original Harlan Ellison story includes giant statues...they spoke - not the gateway as in the show....irlt was decided that they were too pricey to gilm, and so we're never shown, and the gateway spoke instead.
@@grindelston5968 Too bad when Discovery has the opportunity to introduce the ancient giant statues in Guardian of Forever (they had the CGI and budget to pull it off), they too chose to ignore Ellison, and went with "Carl" instead. Just another reaosn to feel "burned" by Discovery. (but it still does Roddenberry better than Foundation does Azimov - even if only ever so slightly)
Only someone who truly loved the original could possibly do this to it. I hope you're as proud of this as you should be; only Mad Magazine could have come close.
I think Harlan Ellison would have loved this. He wrote some books that could have been considered comedy. This was fantastic. Especially Mr. Spott's eyebrows. 😅😂🤣
Honestly this has been the best parody I've seen! And it's so cool! I'm so happy that youtube recommended it to me.This definitely made my day, your effort in sharing this episode is greatly appreciated. ✨️🖖💙
I never quite understood that, it's such a beloved episode. After all, this story concept was directly related or lifted from Ray Bradbury's short story 'ASound of Thunder'- definitely a concept worth retelling...
@@stevenjones6780, Ellison's version was (not surprisingly) much darker. Just for example the drug that set the whole plot in motion was being smuggled by a crew member. What better job to transport illegal drugs between planets, right? Roddenberry vetoed that idea; I think it would have been a much better story element. All the changes to Ellison's original story were similar.
I hate to use this phrase but OMG that was hilariously cheesy. Kudos to the folks that put this together, I need more laughs like this in my life. Thanks again
"He's a briquet , Jam" 😎 The main crew not even noticing the red-shirt dying immediately is classic Trek. The little fight/action choreography was excellent "Edith Keester" subtle risque the "In Search of" cut was spot on too.
I haven’t belly laughed this much in a long time. I cracked up when I noticed the red shirt arm sticking out of the rock after beaming down. Bravo, bravo. Wonderful writing!
"Murderers! Politicians!" Lmaooo! You gotta do more of these! This parody of ST:ToS is brilliant. The classic comedic "triple" is utilized wonderfully!
I'm flabbergasted that I never knew about this series you've done! Every one of them is so detailed I can't imagine the time put into them. Great job with the voices!
The great tragedy is only 57K views at this stage! Liked, loved and subscribed. More please! Not only did you parody a classic, iconic episode of original Trek, the tiny details, visual gags and more are brilliantly conceived.
I can’t stop laughing 😭🤣 what the hell…I love it! 😍 We need more Star Trek TOS spoofs, parodies and reboots out there like this, because this is freakin golden. ✨
Thanks, but I have to confess that all the puppets are computer generated, so I'm animating them instead of puppeteering them. In fact, I built in a little upper jaw movement just so it doesn't seem too mechanical. :-)
@Doodles68 That is a dying art , my friend - thank you for keeping the old skills alive. There's no reason why traditional puppetry and computer modelling can't both exist today. Both require great talent.
"Then I stepped into a BEAR TRAP that was placed under Edith's welcome mat." "Clearly an amazing coincidence." As He says this We can see boxes on the table behind Him. One is marked "ACME Bear Trap", the other "Happy Funtime Roller Skates"😂
Outstanding! Hilarious! Had to keep backing it up because of laughter interrupting the next joke! Way too funny! I absolutely love this! BRILLIANT! The end credits totally Awesome!...👍👍👍👍👍 Bravo!
Fantastic work here. Thank you very much for this. I love so many of the gags in this, but I especially love how Spott appears to try to right the time line by "killing the Keester" himself. (Allegedly.) Quite a character development for the devil-faced science officer! 😂
@@eddieboggs8306 yeah, it even caused trouble for the show when Gene was still trying to get it off the ground. Some TV executives didn't want to put the show on the air because of Spock looking somewhat devilish.

Just about 2-and-a-half minutes into this...and I'm totally hooked! Once the Doctor starts ranting about "murderers, assassins, telemarketers", I knew this was going to be golden. (Oh, My) It makes all my planned parodies about every time the War Pigeons are mentioned, look like amateur satire material. (Coo-Coo!) 🐦
Fantastic writing....so enjoyable, thank you! The characters were portrayed superbly, and the dialogue between each other was fantastic, as was the story line. Awesome.
Have been re-watching the original series lately, and now my wife (who has never even heard of it) got hooked on it out of the blue. Loved this short was amazing, it's a perfect parody! The puppets only make it better.
12:17 "You cannot have your fate, and EDITH too"
What a line, bravo script writer, bravo 👌
Yeah, that was some incredible writing, and ludicrously funny. 😂
It's from Great Space Coaster. ruclips.net/video/ceHbkjKQ3vg/видео.html
That was a rather good line.
Pausing the video here - don't know how they'll top that one!
Harlan will NOT forgive you .. but you're in good company ;)
I thought the McCoy/McGruff impersonation when he said, "Assassins! Murderers!" was spot-on.
I loved the: "Politicians" part best! 😊
Telemarketers!!!
You mean, “Mr Spott” on.
And the spots were on him too!
Kirk saying "You had an adopted sister that started the war with the klingons!" while viewing history thru Guardian. Hysterical!
A nice homage.
Hopefully they correct that timeline also!
I missed the reference the first time I read this comment and in the video. Caught it when I saw the comment while looking for another one!
Her name was Wadda B'Itch

Yes, the TARDIS in the background when they first reach New York was dang funny!

The fact that Mr. Spott was wearing his cap as a mask too funny..
Set phasers on funny, you stunned me with this parody! 🖖
Love the parody puppets! Great re-telling of this classic Trek episode.
Yes. What a paradox: An animated puppet.
The red shirt ensign who teleported into the rock got me! 🤣♥️👍
I've always wanted to see that happen in the show!
There were lots of great passover eggs tucked away. Did you notice the star wars and lost in space intros up on screens on the bridge?
I have just gotten to that part. Hilarious! Especially with the other red shirt deciding no to say anything.
I think Battlestar Galactia did it first, but with an entire Raider.
I was quite impressed by the references to the original script. Then you threw in "In Search Of"? Magnificent!
Now *this* is Trek!! I love all the call-backs to Harlan Ellison’s original script. You did this episode proud! Subscribed, liked, and sharing! 🖖 ❤😂
Huh. I've read Ellison, and I have met Ellison, but I did not know that he wrote Star Trek scripts.

Complete with two, count 'em, two Wilhelm screams! Genius!!
Funny, and very clever...!! Very well done and written...!! A pleasure to watch...!! Congratulations!! I'll share it...!!
If Harlan Ellison were here and he saw this, he'd be laughing with victorious delight.
