      Hi Maria, This is a frequently asked question. I don’t do anything special. I charge any products that require it before connecting to my computer. If a corded USB device does not require charging, I connect directly to my laptop.
      I download any recommended or required software. I ensure the software and firmware of the devices and dongles are up to date. To select an audio device, I go into Windows 10 Settings --> Sound and select the device I’m testing for Output and Input audio.
      For video recordings, I have primarily been using the Huddly IQ www.calloneinc.com/huddly/ using Windows 10 Camera App www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/windows-camera/9wzdncrfjbbg#activetab=pivot:overviewtab

      Great question, José! If you are connecting to a computer, it is strongly recommended that you download Jabra Direct software so you can have an optimal experience. However, the headset will work out of the box. Where there may be challenges is with the inline control: answer/end, mute, volume up/down.
      The Jabra Direct software is sometimes required to support those features depending on the softphone or collaboration platform/application. You can still use your mouse to access that functionality from your computer.

      Hi Danjoshi, cheaper typically means reduced levels of technology and features. I would like to understand your use case. What is your role? What are you connecting the headset to? How long do you typically wear a headset? How much time is spent engaged in actual voice/video calls with headset? What platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, RingCentral, Genesys, Talk Desk, 8x8, Counterath, Avaya, etc) What wearing style do you prefer? In this link you will find Enterprise and Contact Center grade headsets by Jabra, Poly, Logitech, Cisco, JPL, EPOS, and Yealink www.calloneinc.com/corded-usb-headsets/

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  2 года назад

      Hi Danjoshi, what platform will you be using? As a contact center agent, you will need a lightweight, comfortable headset that can be worn for your entire work day. The Jabra Engage 50 is probably your best option in a corded USB headset however, it is also one of most expensive. Poly, Jabra, EPOS, Yealink, and JPL all offer headsets purpose built for Contact Center Agents. www.calloneinc.com/contact-center-solutions/
      Some of the lower cost options include:
      Jabra Biz 1500 Series - example www.calloneonline.com/Jabra-Biz-1500-Duo-USB
      Poly EncorePro 300 Series - example www.calloneonline.com/Poly-EncorePro-320-USB-A-Stereo
      EPOS Impact 200 Series - example www.calloneonline.com/EPOS-Sennheiser-SC-260-USB-MS-II-Dual-Sided-Headset-w-NC-Mic
      JPL 400 USB Series - example www.calloneonline.com/JPL-400-USB-Binaural-USB-Headset
      JPL Commander 2 - Example www.calloneonline.com/JPL-Commander-2-Binaural-Headset
      JPL Headsets do NOT require software downloads. Jabra, Poly, and EPOS will all need you to download their software to obtain optimal performance and keep your headset up to date.

      Hi Henry, I didn't think I was until I tested Logitech Zone Wired Earbuds and Logitech Techs mentioned I had the RealTek Audio Console app running in the background with Microphone Effects - AI noise reduction turned "on." It was a new laptop, and I wasn't aware it was installed or running. I have since turned it off and have not used it since January 17, 2022. UC platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, and Google Meet offer Noise Suppression settings you can enable and adjust. Hope this helps.

      Hi Taimur, the Biz Series and Evolve Series fall into different use case categories. The Biz Series are designed for Contact Center use while the Evolve Series are UC headsets designed for office and remote work. The Evolve 20 is considered a budget-friendly, entry level solution as is the Biz 1500 Series. Please note, that the Biz Series are older generation and are being replaced by the newer Engage Series. I Have bought same same headset for my home office. I don't know why its not working with me. I have installed Jabra direct. It's seems very much noise sensitive. Not canceling any noise. Do you use any additional device to do that. I have checked my product serial no in Jabra website. It's genuine. I don't know what's wrong with my device. Please I need your suggestion. What should i do.

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  2 дня назад

      Hi Shohag! Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback. The results of this mic test are based on my setup at that time. I didn't do anything special. I unboxed the headset, I made sure Jabra Direct and the Biz 1500 firmware were up to date, and then I connected and used Windows 10 Camera App to record (At the time of filming December 2021). I also made sure I selected the Biz 1500 as the input / output audio source via Sound Settings. Then I hit record. I had an HP Spectre laptop when I filmed this video. Today I have a Samsung Galaxy Pro 360 2-in-1 Laptop / Tablet.
      Based on current tests of newer headsets, I find that turning on Noise Suppression from the various platforms like MIcrosoft Teams Voice Isolation and Zoom Personalized Audio Isolation, you get better noise canceling mic performance.
      What is your setup?
      What platforms do you use?
      Have you selected the Biz 1500 as your Input / Output Audio Source?

    Hi, great video and presentation! Thank you!
    I have been using the Jabra BIZ 1500 mono QD for some time now in my home office and use it with a 3.5 mm adapter on both my smartphone and laptop. Some people have told me that my voice on the phone is very quiet. So I did recording tests on the mobile phone and on the laptop: mobile phone quiet, laptop loud and clear. A cheap wired headset on a mobile phone also sounds better than the Jabra.
    Do you have any experience with this headset in QD version on a mobile phone? Thank you and best regards!

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  2 года назад +1

      Hi Alf! Thanks for sharing your experience. Typically if there is not enough "juice" to fully power the microphone the performance is not as strong as when connected to a source with more power (juice) like a laptop or desk phone. I have not tested the Biz 1500 with QD to 3.5mm adapter on a mobile device. I'll share your question with my contacts at Jabra and see if they have any further insights.
