I really love this song. And it’s really interesting listening to it at this specific point in my life. Everything’s going really well. But when I found this, it wasn’t. In January of 2021, at my lowest point ever, during a period of intense fear, anxiety, and depression, I almost took my own life. It took a long time to mentally recover from that state of mind. You may see lots and lots of comments of mine on this video. Those comments started in January 2021, around the same time. I listened to this song every day as it was one of the only things that made me feel something during those dark times. One of my first comments on this video says that this song makes me feel truly vulnerable, and that’s still true to this day, but it was more importantly true to me back then. I’m so thankful this song exists and that I’ve been able to keep coming back to it and leaving comments on about a tenth of my listens lol. Let this be a reminder to anyone who feels like they’re at the end of the line, like things just can’t get better: those dark days can and will get brighter. I feel so wonderful now, better than I ever thought I’d feel back then. But when it was dark, this song was really there for me when it felt like no one else really was. Thanks for uploading this, Zeepsterd, love your Weezer content (and all the rest of it for that matter) and can’t wait for more. In the meantime, I’m gonna keep on commenting on this video over and over again.

Best thing about Weezer is when getting lost listening to them on RUclips you will discover songs you've never heard before, first time I heard this and I'm absolutely in love. Might even be better than Jacked Up!
Really hope Weezer make one more album with this real 1994 sound. I know it's from the 2010s but still this proves they can still do it. The acoustic mixed with the really dirgy guitar and the slow bouncy drums is really Weezer at their most Weezer.
Why? Why do It again? What is "real sound"? Why make a 1994-ish album in 2020? Recycle stuff you did in your 20s when you're almost 50? Wasn't EWBAITE and White enough? Pinkerton is better btw.
@@emfraridades7261 Agree, can't go back, only forward, but this song would have sounded great recorded just like this (which has a very much Blue album sound). God this is so good, it's a real wonder how this never made it onto the white album, even as a bonus track. It's got that heavy blue album inspired sound, which is what the white album was already going for. It feels kinda like a sad song, nostalgic about a simpler time but still melancholic. I interpret it to be about someone who used to be in love with someone long ago but something caused them to break up. Now the singer is trying to tell themselves that "they don't need them anymore" but is really just in denial that they still really care about them. It could also be an allegory for how much things have changed for the band since the blue album, where they were just kids trying to make it in the LA music scene. In the picture, they seem so happy. Nowadays, they've been put on blast so many times by critics and fans alike, that it must make having Weezer as a thing feel really draining for them. Not to mention, that it was been reported that the band hasn't always got along all the time in the past. Things seemed like they were so much simpler for them back in the early 90's, where they were just playing away in small clubs trying to build an audience.
