      I watched someone do this trick on RUclips shorts and he shook it and the holes ended up opening back up on all 4 corners. How did he do that? His youtube channel is seandoesmagic and the video is called (is magic real?! #shorts) he is pretty cringe but I just came across it.

    • @felipeperez8354
      @felipeperez8354 3 года назад +3

      The only problem would be that you'll need to "get the hole back in position" before handing them their signed card, which kinda lose the essence of the trick of "moving the hole"

    • @magicdrummer411
      @magicdrummer411 3 года назад

      @@felipeperez8354 I'll just end the routine with the final whole in the same position as the final move. That way nothing has to he out back.

      @@felipeperez8354 you could get around it by “multiplying” the number of holes and covering a second hole when they’re signing it and during the routine there ends up with two holes so there’d be a surprise additional hole and memory being somewhat fuzzy they may gloss over the one hole being in same location.

    • @felipeperez8354

    The best close up trick I have seen involved doing this with a dollar bill that was folded in fourths. The magician poked a pencil through then proceded to move the hole, with the pencil still in it. Then he gave me back my intact dollar.i do not remember him ever using a finger to hide the hole.

    Yeah, I saw a trick and figured that it was done like this, thanks for confirming. I think that guy also had a smaller card behind the main card that he could move around, to hide up some holes, because he could flick the card and four holes opened at once. Very neat trick together.

    Thanks for this effect, Cav! One of the first tricks I bought was the moving hole trick you mentioned at the beginning (I won't mention the actual name). Then i do the trick replace it with the top card again and i let them keep the card i made hole in. 😀

    Cavan, a few months ago, around the 10th of february this year, I was visiting London and went to the International Magic Shop. I was looking for a change-box and while I was waiting for the guys to find it, a guy who was there talking to the owners asked me where I was from, then asked for my favourite card. I replied and he produced it immediately from his pocket.
    I had no idea how that was done and spent around 1 month searching for a method. Finally found it (via a friend of "Charlie the Raven") and a couple weeks later I stumbled upon your channel and realised you look very much like that guy in the Internation Magic Shop did. Any chance it was you? :)
    Either way, great job you are doing here. Greetings from Bucharest, Romania!
