Thanks, Andy, For All That You Do !
Thank you Andy, brings back memories of being a kid hearing this on my little AM radio in the 70s. Great to see you active with new videos! We love you!
Wow.....the intro to this is simply gorgeous....I lost my dad last year and he just loved this song anytime it came on the radio. Thanks for giving me a huge smile on my face. Great video.
I wish all guitar teachers on RUclips would watch you before teaching others incorrectly, because you have that gift that is rarely seen in guitar players for picking out intricate parts and playing everything perfectly!! I've been watching guitar videos on RUclips for years and finally found the person I've been looking for for learning songs from!! Thanks to Tim Pierce, he sent me to you! By the way, I hold Tim in very high regard along with you!!! Thank You for doing what you're doing!!!
I was 12yrs old in '75 and that was my introduction to Steve Gadd - WOW! I'm a drummer by trade but started playing guitar as a hobby over the years and never realized the awesome "weaving" going on behind the scenes (because it was always about Gadd's KILLER groove). Thanks so much for this (and all your videos) - yeah, 50 Ways is still all about Gadd BUT I can now hear the guitar parts too!
Chord building harmony 101 you put on a clinic bravo
Yesss thank you so much for also playing the electric guitar parts I've been trying to play those for a while now. You're amazing man thanks
Paul's such a crafty little bugger. :D
You honestly have one of my favourite ever clean Les Paul sounds, even when you're demoing with the volume rolled back, the clarity and evenness is insane.
Wow Andy!! Just awesome! This song brings back so many memories for me as a little boy. This song was on constant rotation on radio stations at the time. As a youngster, the verses sounded so sad but spooky to me....then the chorus kicks in, and it just changes the entire mood of the song with those funky lyrics that are just genius. Songwriting at it's finest, 1975. Thank you for sharing!!
Great transcription as always!
I’m so glad that you posted this…one of the all time best songs ever written!
This channel deserves way more subscribers!
The camera work, lesson structure, explanations during the lessons and the manner in which it's taught is like learning in a well taught and much loved virtual classroom. Really top notch quality.
Thank you very much Andy. All I had access to, (when much younger), was "Star Licks" on VHS.
Your channel has given me the inspiration to play more again, so thank you again, it's really appreciated.
I love this songgg! Thank you for this tutorial!
Love how you teach for us advaced players 53 years.Damn some on YT would take and hour to try and show you how to play this great tune. Thanks, Damian
These lessons are dead on excellent.
Nails the chords and quickly gives a huge lesson on how to contruct any augmented chord.
Serious bang for the buck with these.
Superlative job Sir!
I always appreciate Andy's acknowledgement of the great contributors. Steve Gadd's groove is simply on of the greatest pieces ever.
Great lesson! Thank you!
😀love this song!! Thanks Andy
Hi Andy. Brilliant lesson! One of my favourite PS songs and Steve Gadd's iconic drum groove is of course one of the best; I had the pleasure to meet him at an airport pre-covid and had the chance to tell him so! Keep up the great work!!!
Just beautiful.
Your examples always sound so good! You are a true professional!
Love the fact that there are diminished and augmented chords in this song. Just waiting for the augminished and demented ones😊. Another great lesson thanks.
Man, haven’t had this little ditty ringing in my skull cavity in quite some time. Thanks, great job.
Always a joy to see a new upload, thank you
That is a damn good tune !
Nice work, thanks for posting 🙂
Sublime playing and tutorial. Thank you!
Andy, you are Number 1. Thank you, sir.
Without a morsel of doubt, the best in the business
Lifes just hitting me too hard Andy, I just can't keep up anymore. Third time I've lost everything now, I'm just done. All I can do is listen to you play.
THE BEST!!! GOOD JOB, WELL DONE.
Wow, thanks. This is really great stuff!
This guy’s the best…
Thank you Andy, you're top shelf brother and my favorite to learn a song
That is Steve "State of the Art" Gadd, great drummer.....Great channel. I have learned a lot from you over the last few years. Thank you..
Hey Andy! I love your lessons and they've improved my playing drastically, so thank you!! I would love to see a lesson for Embryonic Journey from Jefferson Airplane. That would be AMAZING! Thanks again!
Perfect 10. Thank you
You are amazing Sir.
That demo is super groovy
Excellent! A site like Ultimate Guitar might be ok for a casual/EZ version of the song but you really get into the chords that Paul Simon uses to make his songs magical and which help set him apart from songwriter-strummers. Many thanks!
Love this song
Andy you're in my opinion the best teacher on the tube. Would love to see a lesson on Golden County by REO. My favorite REO song and as relevant today as when it was released. Thanks, Mark
Ty❤
So helpful
You are ao great
Bravo!
Geohlaay lol. That electric lead intro is nice, right by itself ! Thanks man! Been years since heard this song. Be nice to have a chord shape on the screen for these beautiful chords! Great video
Nice to see this song being dusted off by two different RUclips channels within the last year or so.
I have always thought that drum section and those unique chords were just too good to remain in a 70's memory.
I would love to see a lesson for Reminiscing by the Little River Band as well!! I commented a couple days ago with a hopeful song but this one popped into mind as well. Anyways, thank you so much for all of your incredible work!!! My guitar playing has improved so much since I've started watching your lessons!!!
love your channel, saw your Foxglove video and thought .... would love to see, dare I ... Raviole by the band Audience (actually anything by them) .... of all the teachers i've seen, you're probably the only one who could do it justice ... you're the absolute best.
Just checking in to see how you’re doing.
Slick Jam from Way back
I love all these spot on 70s lessons you do. I'm sure you get a hundred requests a day, but have you ever considered doing a lesson for Cinderella by FireFall? That song was huge in the day and no one has a lesson for it on RUclips.
How did you train your ear? I’ve become much better at finger style by watching your lessons. I learned never going back again (and solo), landslide (and solo), say goodbye, bron yr aur, going to California, Stephanie, and Rhiannon from you. Would you ever consider making a video on how you figure out these songs?
It would be nice to see a chart for the chords. Descriptions go by fast. It would be nice to see a pic so there's no confusion.
Great
