9 years on and your video is still helping. I have an intermittent issue on start up of my 1977 Solar City and have worked through the score reels and player unit so it seems likely that the exact issue outlined here might be the problem. Even if it’s not this was still very helpful. Thanks
Nice! Kinda makes me want to stick to the older reset bank games. Very well shot video and the great explanation of the tension on the moving blades not being enough to properly move the plate. That statement really helped me understand the the cause of the problem.
Another great site with TONS of repair videos and a huge archive is pinballninja.
Well worth the small donation as it's helped me fix a lot of issues.
Love these kinds of vids. Still helping me a lot!
Hello. Greetings from germany. Actually i am working on a Gottlieb "300". Your video helped me a lot. I already worked on Williams and Bally EM's but Gottlieb is definitely different and much more difficult to adjust to bring a dead machine back to life. Learning by doing!
Thanks, Clay. I hope, in some video, you will mention/describe the Override Blade A-4986 used in some point-score relays, such as L M N on Gtb, such as Solar City.
Thanks for this video. Well explained and good editing. I saw a few of your other vids that dont really say how to fix, but this vid does in fact show what to do. Well done.
Thank you! This is a big help, I am going to crack back into my 1975 Spin Out and see if this fixes my issue.
this advice has been gold dust fixing up my 1975 Pioneer, thanks from me in the UK!
Doing the same pin as you now :)
Did you make your contact adjusting tool or was that a store bought one? I never saw one bent like that. I like it.
Do you have any videos of basic layout features that basically map the machine parts to the schematics. So when you are looking at a schematic and diving into the particulars of switchology, you also point out where that part of the schematic is located in the machine. I think so many folks doing these videos, assume people know the locations, but they don't. I know games are somewhat specific, but generally, a given manufacturer in a given year period, will all be very similar.
I bought a Gottleib 1962 Flipper Clown and having trouble getting the game to reset.. any suggestions on what to look for?
Go to this guys site. He has great info available. Dont be shy to make a donation.
I could really use some help on my centigrade 37 game! It keeps resetting it goes to reset and just never quite locks in to the start mode
I’m working on a 76 gottleib card whiz. I’ve tried adjusting the AX relay, as ur video described, no luck. My score counter for player 1 isn’t reset to zero. Any thoughts?
My Target Alpha pinball machine won't add bonus points when the ball leaves the playfield where do I look for the problem
