Went through the same process because of being part of the small hands club. Agree with a lot of commenters that the Pure is a must try. Along with Keystone which is my current go to for low wind days and putt with my gstar Rhyno for high winds.
I love shallow putters as well! You HAVE to try the ATOM! I throw them in electron plastic and they are great for putting AND throwing. And that has given me a lot of consistency in using it for both. Straight, workable, shallow and great feel. Shallow Throwing putters: ATOM, ENVY, JOKERI, TOMB, RUNE, BREAKER Shallow Putting putters: ATOM, VOODOO, REKO
I agree the atom is great for throwing and putting. I like throwing the electrón firm and putting with the soft. It’s a great disc and just goes so straight.
Lefty with small hands (kid sized gloves) here! If you like the Wizard check out the Shaman. It's a beadless thin putter from Gateway so it comes in all their different plastics. It's thinner than the Envy by comparison. Flat flight plate. Flight numbers are 3,3,-1,1 compared to Wizard 2,3,0,2.
Proxy is a straighter Envy, probably a better choice. Tomb is very shallow, could be interesting for you. I like medium depth putters and I chose the rainmakers, but it has the angled shoulder, which I prefer. Lower depth than Alpaca/P2. My go to wind putter is the rpro pig. Great video, just a few thoughts.
I did a similar comparison with some putters and found the latitude 64 Pure to fit super comfortable in the hands, flat top, perfect weight, and give me the most reliable result
I’ve seen the Pure recommended quite a bit. I’ll have to get one to try! When I did throw Trilogy I only had one to throw, but it was in premium plastic which is usually deeper feel than base plastics.
I have small hands and prefer a shallow putter. Echoing what others have said, I think either the Pure or the Atom is what you’re looking for. I putt with the Pure in Zero Medium Plastic. Nice and grippy without being floppy. Shallow in the hand and the shoulder curves pretty sharply instead of gradually. Also, if you like the Envy but find it’s too stable, Try the Atom.
You seem like a shallow rim fan like me so here’s what I’ve found. Envy, as you know is the cream of the crop for throwing putters and it goes as far as my mids with less effort. I throw with a proton envy and putt with an electron soft. I use the L64 pure as my understable putter tho I’m testing the proxy as a replacement this season since the pure has a slightly uncomfortable micro-bead. I’d try mvp spins if (when) they bring them back in different plastics besides the R2 since mvp’s recycled plastic is too slippery IMO. For now I jump putt and step putt with an opto fuse since it’s very straight and has insane glide.
I have small hands and putt with X-Blend Alpaca's. You should try the Pilot from Streamline. It's similar to the P2 and the Alpaca but a little shallower with a bead. I might switch to Pilot's but I still love my Alpaca's. Also, the Tomb from Infinite Discs. It's pretty shallower with a flat top and flies straight.
I adopted the Classic Aviar in DX plastic early on and I've not yet felt the need to deviate from them. They're the cheapest and most available putters on the planet, so as I've cycled through some I've had no issues getting replacements. That said, about a year ago I switched to R-Pro for more grip, and I feel they stick to the chains better, and if they bounce out, they don't go as far as the stiffer putters. Also they have as little ground action as I can get in a putter. So that's my recommendation to you. The Classic one is more like a Flex 2.5 plastic, slightly stiffer than the Aviar Putt and Approach, which is more like a Flex 2. But the R-Pro is soft but still decently rigid, but a little more durable and grippy. They're also beadless.
I have small hands too and I'm waiting for warm weather to play again before I settle on a putter. Two that I really like so far are the Discmania Logic and L64 Hope. People say the Logic feels most similar to a Luna but I haven't tried a Luna yet, and the Hope feels like a shallower firm Aviar. I also like the L64 Mercy.
The MVP Anode will fit your hand the same way Envy does and might release a little more consistently. I'm using Soft Electron, and they're the best ones I've come across in years. (I have larger hands but prefer a lower profile mold.) Along those same lines, the Streamline Pilot or Thought Space Praxis in Electron plastic are both amazing. Straight and lower profile in the base plastics. .
2 good shallow putters to try not on that list are nomad (2,4,0,1) and pilot (2,5,-1,1). I used to putt with the ion then switched to the nomad last year but recently have been testing out the pilot. Both have small or micro beads.
I want to say I had one when I first started playing. Before it skipped off the top of a basket into a swamp 😭. Might be worth looking into again! Very shallow feel on them!
Emac judge , trash panda inner core , discmania link … I went from vibram ridge after 10 years to link them to emac judge and love it … I may replace it with the inner core but inner core may become a thrower… I also throw the pure
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf I threw the judge for a short time but wished it had a smaller bead then the emac judge came out soon after it was like disc golf gods heard me kinda funny how it worked
I recommend the deputy. But you already know I putt with the glow reko. I finally bought a new glow envy today and it's not like a zone or pig at all. I think I'ma just putt with it c2-c3 like my reko. Its very similar to a cale duraflex p model s. But I do really like the origin I just got. It's not like my meteors it flys like my Luna but 300ft
I putt with the Penrose, but I have large hands. Have you tried the Reko X? It’s too shallow for me, but it’s a nice OS option that felt really good in the hands. Just wish it was deeper
Beside Discraft, I have the most experience with Trilogy since I used them when I started. I was always between the Warden and Marshal… until Maiden’s were released 😉
I actually just got a Penny in last week! Feels good. Only criticism so far is the plastic has a “chalky” feel.. almost like I want to wipe my hands off whenever I touch the disc. But I’ll have to see how the feel changes with use. Also just ordered some Blue Bonnet’s to take on a trip!
I can't seem to find a good low profile putter that goes straight. I have extremely small hands, but currently I either putt with a hard exo Tactic or a Jawbreaker Ringer GT. I absolutely love them both, but neither of them are really straight flyers. And the jawbreaker Ringer GT is such a hard to find disc that I'm always nervous I'll lose it. Anyone have any recommendations? I've tried most of the most common putters, and they are just not shallow enough for me.
Have you tried putting with the banger-gt? I’ve been using it for over year and love it. I’ve recently been trying out the reko to compare it, but the jawbreaker banger-gt is something worth trying at least. Great video regardless! Keep it up with the awesome content!
I have! Used it a little last year while filming a review. It flies nice both throwing and putting, but with my hand size the thumb track was very awkward. Half of my thumb was in it and other half was on the edge.
Honestly, in my collection, Innova is the least represented. Maybe a few Roc3’s and Sexton Firebird. That’s about it 😅. I do plan on picking up more as the year goes on!
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf You don't have to unless you want to! Tried them when they first came out. I’m not sure why, but they never grabbed chains or moved them unless a direct hit. If they were off even a little they would just deflect right off the outer chains. Same issue I had with the Fierce.
The pure is nice and shallow
Streamline pilot or mvp atom ore great small hand putters.

Been seeing the Atom pop up quite a bit! Will look for one next time I’m at the local store!
Anode is pretty much a beaded Atom, so I putt with R2 Anodes.
Try the Lat64 Pure. Shallow, flat top and definately a place to stick your pointer finger. it should easily fit your hand.
Going to have to pick one up! Thank you!!!

Gotta try the Atom!
Looking into MVP putters for the first time, so will have to pick some up!
The Judge has been my go to cause it is shallow with a beed.
You had some good choices here and some I have never heard of. I used to putt with the D-line P2. I'm now switching to the Maiden which you mentioned.
Maiden’s do fly nice! Older runs I used to have were flatter than the run I was using in the video. Great for spin putts!
Try the following.
DD Deputy
Pure
Banger Gt
I am a big fan of shallow and these are the ones the stood out to me
If p2 is bit too tall i recomend trying P. Latitude Pure shallow putterand alot like it thou im not oine myself because too shallow for my taste.
Been seeing that one pop up a lot! Going to have to pick one up for sure! Thank you!!!
You really need to try the proxy and atom then. I put with the penrose. The telos or phi are both good ones similar to a p2.
Innova Colt is my putting putter. Shallow 1.9 cm height, glidey and a nice micro bead.
I want to say I had one when I first started playing. Before it skipped off the top of a basket into a swamp 😭. Might be worth looking into again! Very shallow feel on them!
Would recommend you try out the Pure! Would love to see your opinion on it in a future video.
Definitely on my list to try and review!
You should definitely try the Judge. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I might have to give it another shot! Tried it years ago and kept going back to the Marshal. Now that I don’t mind beaded discs I might like it more!
Judge is really good for flat spinny putts. Nomad is almost exactly the same profile but nomad can hold hyzer angle and touch more glidey
I just switched to the rekos from the P2s and 100% love them
Reko is probably the front runner so far. But a lot of good suggestions I need to try! The Reko just does so many things well!
Try the pilot. It’s a micro beaded envy that is a touch straighter
Flat and shallow. Very comfy
I honestly forgot those existed! I’ll have to put them on the list of extra putters to try! Thank you!!

Have you tried the Reko X? It’s too shallow for me, but it’s a nice OS option that felt really good in the hands. Just wish it was deeper
Try the infinite Tomb. Shallow and very flat. I also love the westside crown/shield depending on how stable you want them to be
I forgot about the crown!!! Used to use that for a few months and loved it. Going to see if our local disc warehouse has a Tomb!
You need to try a warden, they are affordable, shallow, glidey and has a great hand feel.
Beside Discraft, I have the most experience with Trilogy since I used them when I started. I was always between the Warden and Marshal… until Maiden’s were released 😉
Westside swan 2 reborn is my go to if your a bead fanatic go with the original swans
