I've seen little Italian children on a cooking show making the Sign of the Cross to pray the Grace before eating. All of you: Father = Lover, Son = beloved, Holy Spirit = Love Itself.
An exorcist asked “ Do you know why Catholics bless themselves before saying grace?” No one knew. The priest said “ Just the act of making the sign of The Cross is a minor exorcism. Demons can hide in foods. The sign of The Cross exorcises the demons out of the food.
@@amazingrace83 Atheists have unironically hijacked the St. Peter's cross thinking it is disrespectful to Christians, when it reality the "upside down cross" was a humble gesture to honor Christ. It's like a Pagan wearing a Star of David instead of a Pentagram.
The only thing that matters is your relationship with Jesus! I doubt Jesus/The father are going to nitpick the sign of the cross because as this priest said it is sacramental. Meaning your expressing your devotion. The real question you have to ask your self is are you really devoted to God? The answer is between you and the Lord! I do the sign of the cross and I’m a Christian. (Not that denominations matter. God is God)
@@BaikalTii Navel?? That's kind of low isn't it? I thought it was forehead heart right shoulder left shoulder. No one goes from the forehead all the way down to the belly button.
Funny how the apostles of Christ and every Christian there after never mentioned or preformed a sign of a cross on themselves. Why is that? If they had, it would have started with them from the time of Jesus' death. Nor did Jesus himself instruct them to make any sign of a cross after he was dead and gone to heaven. Don't you find that odd? That means some kind of religion back then, thought it would be a good idea to create some kind of symbol to commemorate the way he died. A pole wouldn't do, who'd want to worship a pole a stake? Something that's in use and many are praying to it already. The Babylonians' been doing the cross thing for thousands of years they swore by it! But wait! We have to change the word, ''stake,'' to something sacred, representing a god's name that people would hold holy, an ancient god, like the Chaldeans in Babylon when they worshiped and held as a god, what was his name? NIMROD? Yeah, that guy! He was the first king, ruled over people, and was a mighty warrior in his kingdom! Later, his name became TAMMUZ. with the letter ''T'', later then that, the ""T,'' was lowered to the center of the pole, for ''T'' AMMUZ. Jesus was a god after all, right? Nations will bow down and pray to Jesus and worship him, just like the Babylonians did with Nimrod, then they wouldn't have to pray to Jehovah, the same other ''god-head,'' of the trinity, and the third god, the ''holy ghost.'' The KJV Bible, published in 1611, by the Roman Catholic Church, endorsed that Bible to include, ''cross,'' and other Bibles were contaminated with the Babylonian symbol since then. ''What a shame,'' ''Yeah.''

"twist the scriptures?" - I don't recall the scriptures mentioning the sign of the cross at all so why is it blasphemy to glorify God if one uses the sign of the cross in praise of God? Must one follow the exact (word for word) laws given in the Bible (Old Testament)? Didn't Jesus heal on the sabbath for good and to glorify God? Should we not live by Loving God and neighbor and letting God judge if we do this or not? The sign of the cross is a way to glorify God, and God knows there is no blasphemy in my mind or heart. If you are not a christian then you might not agree. Either way, may God bless you.

@@jewish_slave_of_YESHUA_n_YHVH First - I stated that "I don't recall the scriptures mentioning the sign of the cross". Second - Jesus healed on the Sabbath and works of that sort were not allowed according to the Jewish Pharisees as how they read the Laws given to Moses. So the point is to address your first comment about "NOT one scripture about a hand sign cross." Just because the Bible doesn't explicly state something doesn't automatically make it wrong. (I don't think the bible talks specially about abortion, but I think we both agree it's wrong). Finally you state "you are living in MAN MADE TRADITION" - The Catholic faith is not only the Bible, but also understanding the Living Tradition as well as the Analogy of Faith. All three things must be taken into account in order to understand our faith correctly. Also, on your "MAN MADE" - The Bible is the Word of God inspired, fully divine yet FULLY HUMAN-like any other book, except without error. I have learnt a lot from you
That was wonderful. I’m Lutheran and I sign the cross every time I pray
A wonderful talk about the blessed Cross. Thank you, Father.

I loved your Job reference at the end of your story. My wife and I just finished a Bible study, Job has become one of my favorite Bible stories.
This was so beautiful I believe in the Lord..but the church has always disappointed me…you did not disappoint thank you Father.
I would like to be a priest too
Awesome Thankyou
This was Dope!

You just did a upside-down cross. This is the way that I been doing all my life. What is the right way to do?
forehead, navel, right shoulder, left shoulder. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me.
It's still OK, as long as there is a cross. Even St. Peter's cross is upside down.

Learn it in Latin. No verbal explanation needed.
Make the sign of the Cross properly. Look at yourself in the mirror, your cross must be symmetrical of a cross
pay close attention on how he makes the cross sign its an upside down cross lol, see alot of cathlics do this. signs are in the small details.
Peter was crucified upside down. Doesn't make it wrong just because it's upside down
you're doing the cross upside down... cursing yourself...NOT blessing yourself
