Meaning your expressing your devotion. The real question you have to ask your self is are you really devoted to God? The answer is between you and the Lord! Funny how the apostles of Christ and every Christian there after never mentioned or preformed a sign of a cross on themselves. Why is that? If they had, it would have started with them from the time of Jesus' death. Nor did Jesus himself instruct them to make any sign of a cross after he was dead and gone to heaven. "twist the scriptures?" - I don't recall the scriptures mentioning the sign of the cross at all so why is it blasphemy to glorify God if one uses the sign of the cross in praise of God? Must one follow the exact (word for word) laws given in the Bible (Old Testament)? Didn't Jesus heal on the sabbath for good and to glorify God? Should we not live by Loving God and neighbor and letting God judge if we do this or not? The sign of the cross is a way to glorify God, and God knows there is no blasphemy in my mind or heart. (I don't think the bible talks specially about abortion, but I think we both agree it's wrong). Finally you state "you are living in MAN MADE TRADITION" - The Catholic faith is not only the Bible, but also understanding the Living Tradition as well as the Analogy of Faith. All three things must be taken into account in order to understand our faith correctly.
