Guys your videos are so relaxing and educational thank you so much. I'm nowhere near having the ability to build a house but just watching your magic is beyond relaxing. Thank you!
Great Job Guys, your hard work is extremely encouraging and I appreciate the time you take to make these videos, I did want to mention one thing though, and that’s the drip edge that you guys missed on the deck ledger boards, would have saved a lot of time down the road to get those on prior to siding panels.
Thanks! And we've got a few deck videos coming down the pipeline, but the deck flashing just slipped right under the siding so it wasn't a big issue. Thanks for watching!
@@PootsPastures You guys are awesome I spoke too soon, I’m glad to have come across your build on RUclips. I also wanted to mention the great choice of materials for the exterior, the stained wood soffits really compliment the metal horizontal siding, I like the modern look. What company did you guys go with for the siding?
Glad I found your channel, really cool build! You made trimming the windows look easy!! I tried to follow rr buildings.....I failed. I like the idea of drip cap over the window instead of j channel which I used.
Thanks! The origional plan was to use J channel but I changed my mind at the last second. I also tried to follow how RR buildings does it and as much as I like his channel it was too hard for me to replicate it.
If I had my way we would have done wood siding, but ultimately we wanted to pick somthing for resistant, (because of the prevalence of wild fires in our area) and somthing economical. Thanks for watching!
@@PootsPastures : I am from PA and we have a lot of vinyl siding for economic reasons. But now I vouch for metal siding at least on 3 sides if not the front side. You made a great choice
@@PootsPastures Thank you for responding. The videos are great. I priced the metal where I’m located in Missouri, and they’re wanting over $4.00 a square foot which is double the cost of normal metal paneling. So I’m looking for an alternate option.
Some work is just work but this is going to pay off for decades.
The satisfaction of knowing you did it is a bonus.
Yes it is so satisfying to get done at the end of the day and take a step back and look at the progress that's been made!
Siding looks sharp! Well done!
Thanks, we're really happy with it so far!

You 2 work well together. Still loving the siding.... stay safe
Yeah we've been doing it for a couple years now! Thanks for watching!
You folks are pretty handy 🔨
Thanks!!

We used a company called "metal sales" its just who our local lumber yard used for metal siding and roofing, but we like the product so it worked out
Keep it up!
Thanks for watching! We're getting there!

I am not a fan of metal siding but this looks fab. Well done

But what did you do for the exterior corners. You haven’t covered that at all
It looks like your not leavening enough space for expansion in the vertical channels. The weather is cold now and when it gets hot the siding may bow?
Most of the peices have about a 1/4" between the end of the panel and the trim, some a little more some a little less.
Hello, this metal siding looks really nice. What is it called? Where can I find it? Thanks
So it is made by a company called metal sales and is called ic72. Hope that helps!
@@PootsPastures That helps! Thank you
What gauge of metal is this?
It is 24 guage metal. Thanks for watching!
