Gotta love how Makoto never really gets used to her Biker Gang Motiif, despite it being her true self.
I heard the phantom theive's costumes are their perception of criminals or those with "a rebellious nature" with their personas being a physical manifestation of their desires in the cognitive world. For example; Ann Takamaki's outfit is largely inspired by the TV villains she has seen as a child and it gives her confidence. For Makoto; she must be a little embarrassed because it's an identity beset to her nature.
@@justinanderson2631 I think you mean Haru for the TV Villains. Ann’s perception of rebellion is using her femininity and sexuality to be a boss bitch or something.

I don't really get why some of the party members don't like their personas or outfits, they came from YOUR heart and YOUR feelings about yourself and the idea of rebellion. Just a weird thing that always got to me in this game.
Thats how the subconscious works at times.

The Persona comes from their Shadow. Something that they may not always acknowledge or like about themselves outwardly.

It was brought up in the game at some point, but a bike is what Makoto sees as the ultimate form of freedom. In her eyes they belong to people with no responsibilities or adults to restrict them, and they can go wherever their heart desires. It’s that idea that is what Makoto truly sees herself as and strives to be.

I know why Ryuji is afraid of Makoto, but personally i doubt she's any different from him. She shattered the floor with her feet in a cognitive world, but it's not like she can do it outside the Metaverse. Her persona boosts her physical abilities just like with everyone else.
Well keep in mind Makoto is adept in Aikedo (not sure I spelled that right but oh well.) So my guess she was already pretty strong.
Obviously Ryuji has a thing for Lamekoto… but he seriously needs a reality check on how worthless she is.

I think it is called the palace maker, but it’s the vending machine thing. If you set up a bunch of things random confidants will come to see the collection.

@@thescientition9165 the thieves den is technically in Joker's head and i believe the confidants show up once they reach level 10. So with a strong bond, joker can easily determine what they would say in these situations. Thats what i think at least.

I personally think that a pathetic persona like Johana was suitable for a useless character like Makoto (Her evolution Anat was badass though).
If Makoto was a truly a badass, hypnotically speaking, she would’ve started her debut in the Phantom Thieves with like a Ghost Rider persona.

Funny how you feel she's useless when she's your best medic other than morgana.Note she mostly went with what everyone else wanted until she decided to stand up for herself even though she did get herself in trouble which led to her awakening
Her awakening was laughable… her will of “rebellion” wasn’t so rebellious.
She’s had the life experience of being controlled and that’s the kind of persona she has… one she can literally control.
I was hoping for something a little more warrior-like or at least a robot persona… at least it wasn’t a wimpy troll persona.
Who needs her when you have Morgan’s and Mercurius… he has all the healing abilities that are mandatory and helpful for hard battles (Shido, The Holy Grail and Dr. Maruki).
