Yes. Current design Polo is anyway loved by many. The same car with atleast LED projector headlamps, reverse camera and push button start alongside the manual TSI variant would have been a killer combo. Waiting period for that model would run into months easily

It is more than 4m in length so releasing it in India as is will be dumb. Better management decision would be the launch the facelift here by resizing it to sub 4m. It is not an impossible task for VW engineers either. The same VW India had resized the Polo to make Ameo and the Ameo's price was not exorbitantly high.

In the Legend Model, basically the Polo GT TSI will be fitted with the Legend Kit but I have been told by the VW dealers that blackening the roof is not legal and will lead to challan unless the black roof was the standard fitment by the company and hence the dual colour was mentioned in the RC book which is not. So, should we not not get it done?
We Indians are okay with the old design and features because polo still sells well. So they aren't intrested in giving us the latest model. Vw should not underestimate Indian Market. We will go for other hot hotches if you are going to dissapoint us like this. Period.
Indian Polo's design is definitely timeless and classic, I agree. Indians like it and there is a loyal fan base for it too. But, Polo still sells well in India? What are you saying? Pre-covid, it's competition i20 sold 12000 units per month, Baleno sold 15000 units per month. Whereas Polo was selling only about 1600 units per month which is around 10% of its competition. VW India is not taking Indian market seriously or showing any interest either. Current gen Indian Polo's design with updated features like reverse camera, LED projector headlights, push button start, etc., should have been present in BS6 Polo. Then their sales would have skyrocketed.

I am an owner of VW polo...it's my first car...always special....but please sell some updated products in India...this car almost looks the same from past 10 yrs....bring in new cars like golf, t-cross .....
