Your swing is out to far possibly, are you keeping it close to your body in the way up? Are you twisting the bell to an almost hammer curl position around your mid section?

Work bottoms-up cleans for a while (in sets of 5)

A kettlebell clean is not a barbell clean. They have a similar name but the movement is different.
