Great video. Very under rated instruction for kettlebells. Thanks. What about breathing for the clean and press? Some coaches say don't breathe out until the press as you lose the body tension....others say exhale in the clean and inhale again before the press. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the step-by-step guide. I lost my proper clean, this is an amazing reference! 🥳
Got a laugh out of the Powerlifting shirt. I workout at a private powerlifting gym, but primarily do kettlebells & don't compete; the majority of them find me strange 😂.
    Again thank you!

I personally prefer the power clean version of the kettlebell clean. I enjoy the explosiveness that this exercise demands getting the bell off the ground with out the use of the swing/ hip hinge.

    Hi !
    Just a suggestion 4 U :
Since the Clean is a somewhat "complex" movement, we might have a roadmap series of videos, follow-along style, conducting us to the Clean.
For instance : phase 1 - one hand swing - one month / phase 2 - bottom up clean / phase 3 - "drop" clean and so forth.
I'm fluent with Swings and can scratch some Snatches but my Clean is way cumbersome. I also love circuits/complexes but I always get stuck at the Clean (cause I dont do them well). Guess you've seen that before !
Ow : another idea : a Clean Course. It would be nice too.
    Best wishes !

Keep in mind that even if you get the perfect technique locked down, if you have one of those crappy KBs that have angles (especially those small ones), you will still encounter some discomfort or even pain. So for beginners, make sure you buy the proper KB.

You can still have discomfort with good technique also depending on anatomy. I watch this video and the body of the bell is resting mid forearm on him, most bells rest on my wrist or just behind because I have long arms. There's no shame in wearing wrist guards, kettlebell kings make some that I use occasionally if I'm doing lots of cleans.

Really 12kg to start? I was thinking more in 8kg lol. But okay, I might get a pair of 12kg and one of 8kg to learn the techniques first if its needed. Thanks for the info.
Edit: Im commenting this because previously I watched your video about choosing sizes of KB's to start up.
