  • @uberjava
    @uberjava 4 года назад +21

    I've watched quite a few Wildman videos in the last few days, like many, appreciating the brevity and accuracy of the information given. I've had kettlebells around me since 2006, quite a while, but I was never very happy with my clean technique. I didn't know why. After watching Mark's instructional, I have sorted out my elbow position, adjusted my wrist position and my cleans are much improved.. 14 years late... RUclips does what RUclips does and promoted a video to me about how to clean by a channel with 10 million subscribers (that's a huge amount of YT income), and after watching it, I can honestly say that my clean would of been just as bad as it was if I had followed it alone. The information gleaned from this channel is gold. Mr Wildman, you are appreciated!

    • @jpipaj
      @jpipaj 4 года назад +1

      Hugh Lutley I’ve noticed that my technique has improved greatly but is there still a bit of tenderness that is expected from using bells. Is there slight hardening process involved when using bells in your experience

    • @uberjava
      @uberjava 4 года назад +3

      @@jpipaj I think what you will notice is that sometimes you get it right and the bell lands correctly but you can't always do the movement so cleanly. Every time you bang your forearms you must note that you fluffed that one up and really concentrate on the technique to get the next rep smooth. Eventually reps will get smoother and smoother. Remember, it's 10,000 reps to master a skill!

    • @jpipaj
      @jpipaj 4 года назад +2

      Hugh Lutley thank you for your time and advice... I’m really enjoying using bells and I have a lot of work to do if I want to master it...lol... thank you Hugh

    Thank you for this!! I never had the bell at a 45 degree angle and yes, my wrists were feeling a little banged up. I now have my own KBs and need to start back to snatches and cleans and this is a game changer for me. My KB trainer helped me when we were training a few years ago, BUT I think I missed this piece. (I am a tad older and it takes me a few tries to solidify the training :)) I am about to try it out. Thanks again!

    After training with a 12kg cast iron kettlebell for the last three years, because I had bought that one before I watched your videos about good starting weights (shame on me...well I guess it wasn't too bad, that was still good training), I recently got a 16 kg competition kettlebell and suddenly had problems with handling the kettlebell correctly although I never had that problem before... Guess the higher weight and the "new" uncovered a flaw in my grip... So I came back to this video which is still freaking awesome and so precise and clear... I had to comment then because apparently I already liked the video already three years ago...
