This guy played in a movie called Yeti: A Gay Love Story, probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. His buddy Adam that he mentions, also plays in it.

The comedian making the floss joke probably knows it happens to everyone. Pretending not to know *IS* the joke. Just because Joe's childhood friend didn't know about washing his own ass, doesn't mean the comedian didn't know about the dentist.
If his material is all like this I hope RUclips never recommends his stuff to me again. Being there live may have made a difference in how you perceive it but in video form his energy was off, his timing was lacking and the ipad seemed like a crutch for his material to move it forward.
Some people would try to use that sound machine to make themselves funnier or improve their act but it’s a hack thing to do.... but in this case it’s being used ironically and as a joke, making fun of someone who might genuinely do this, which is why it’s so funny.
