Thanks for your online tutorials. I've been playing pennywhistle for 25 years now, and I'm not ashamed to admit, I still learn things from watching you.
The coolest thing is that I am left handed so when you play its a mirror image and makes it super easy to duplicate what you are playing. Finally, a pay off for being a lefty all my life. Not easy, trust me. I am vindicated! Please post many more. Please?
That exhibit was awesome!!! I went while on vacation in CA just before the artifacts were going to be put up for auction. Great collection and even the iceberg.
Awesome lesson Elizabeth - I totally subscribe to having fun with music. That is why I got my Irish Tin Whistle - Simply fun without complication or moving parts. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are very good! I just bought a wood wind whistle in the key of F.. I should have just bought the Clark tin whistle.. it sounds so good when you play it.. Thank you for all your help..
You are my new favorite person just for this video... I've been looking for a tutorial for the intro to My Heart Will Go On! This is perfect! :) I will play the intro on my tin whistle and the chorus on my flute for a duet I might have coming up!!! Thank you, this video's so helpful!!!! :D
You are so beautiful. And you've inspired me to order a tin whistle so I can learn some of your stuff. Thanks a lot, mystical inspirational flute woman:). Stay in peace, stay in tune.
Thanks! Today my motorcycle club visits a hospital for children with cystic fibrosis. I'll try out your arrangement. They may never drive such a machine but making music is a valuable and much safer poetic experience.
Well this video is still special , the titanic never gets boring , it’s beautiful, love the tin whistle , wondering if your whist was in d , sounded lovely.. 🙏
I’m from Germany. My dad has given me a very nice tin whistle and at the time I`m practicing very often. Maybe I will play the tin whistle like you :D. Yesterday I uploaded my first video on RUclips (my heart will gon on!)! I wish you all the best!
hi Elizabeth can you maybe do a tutorial or pls send the notes like A B C F# G D about the song River flows in you ( Yiruma) ? on the tin whistle? my 8 months old daughter loves this song and i love to play it for her. i hope you can help me. gr Driekus
I just found your channel Elizabeth and I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on Lough Erin Shore by the Corr's. It's one of my favorite folk Irish songs. It would go great with my fiddle in session and it's such a beautiful tune. Thank you for your tutorials :) your a awesome teacher
I love your tutorials, Elizabeth! Would you consider doing one for Si Bheag, Si Mhor? I want to play it for my sister's wedding, and would love your ideas on ornamentation and phrasing! Thanks for considering it! - Peace, Kathleen
hi maam...greetings from India...u're jus awesome...extremely inspiring...sadly tin flute isn't readily available here:(..always wondered what was the instrument 'Karin Leitner' used in her Titanic performance at the vienna filmball performance...thanx a ton for posting this tutorial..love u alot
Great instructions. From other comments you should probably explain about same fingering, different low/high notes, and how one needs to direct a stronger force of air through the tin whistle in order to get the high notes you are playing. Maybe play it first with low notes, as sometimes can be off putting when one screeches because ome is still learning the right force of air to use (hell, I still hate hitting that high B!) But nice clear fingering, and great instructions of slide etc!
Great tutorial! I'm new in flute and I can't figure out how do you go to low notes. That is in the final of the first part. The lowest part of the solo, if you know what I mean. Thanks in advance!
You're very good at teaching and explaining what you're doing - a good skill to have! Could you please tell what is the name of the whistles you held up with the red mouthpieces? Are they Generations?
this tutorial is great thank you for making it. I was wondering if you knew the notes for o come o come emmanuel I can only find one line of notes for the key of D tin whistle and I really really want to learn how to play that song it's one of my favorites!
can you please make a tutorial of a thousand years by criantiana perry?? i would love to play that song...and they dont have any tutorial anywhere in youtube
Your tutorials are very good, but I have one request. Please, please please please please stop taking the notes away before you're done playing. It makes it very difficult to follow along and get the timing right when the notes disappear half way through.
But quick question, on the flute, is the song supposed to be played in the key of Eb or F? I learned it in both keys I just don't know which one it is!!! (If you have trouble replying to my comment, feel free to reply in the "Discussion" tab on my channel.) ;3
Great tutorial! Exactly what I wanted. Which type of tin whistle is recommended to buy? Also, did you do any tutorial on some of the tunes from Braveheart? If not it would be great if you could post that :)
Hey Elizabeth! Thanks for all the tutorials, they're easy to follow and fun to learn. I was wondering, which whistle do you find overall best for playing; the Celtic Clarke edition or the original Clarke? No rush in responding, I know how time consuming it can be having hundreds of comments per video you upload ;)

J'adore, je viens d'acheter une flûte irlandaise, mais je n'arrive pas à faire le son le plus haut(aiguë) je crois qu'il faut que je prenne des cours !!! 😂😂
Could you please provide the notes you used for the last part starting at 8:12 (i.e., what follows parts A and B). I could not get a clear view of the fingering you used for this final part. Wonderful job!
That was a very good lesson however, I know that you're obviously playing in the key of D but, could you let me know what kind of Irish whistle you are playing.
Thanks for your online tutorials. I've been playing pennywhistle for 25 years now, and I'm not ashamed to admit, I still learn things from watching you.
