Thank you for a fantastic video! I purchased a brand new one off Amazon for my son and it came with NO directions. Absolutely insane for the price. Your video saved me and I was able to get my son's machine built and running in just a few hours.
I was looking to buying a Juki but it would be disassembled and you need someone to assemble it for you. So whenever I need help, I always go to RUclips. I am so happy I came across your video. You are the best instructor, with the help of your partner who took his time to put it together, you made it very easy to try and tackle it myself. Thank you so much!! Keep up the good work.
Just got myself a DL8700, but like someone else said in the comments, the instructions Juki provided weren't great. So thank you for this super detailed and very helpful video!
Thank you so much for providing such excellent step-by-step instructions. My Juki DU-1181N arrived yesterday with no instructions for installation. I had read that everything is the same as installing the DDL 8700 except the fly wheel, so this was extremely helpful. There were some very minor differences (like the type of screws), but this video was excellent! THANK YOU!
Thank you, I have used your video because I was heading out to assemble one, meanwhile I found few things you missed, one is pin that coming up from oil pan for knee pad, and also two rubber pads the black one should go on another side to make machine even, otherwise front is up almost a quarter, also do not nail at the bottom, two on the side is perfect as bottom need cushion. Overall your video would be extremely helpful to all, I have not searched other or watch other as you have enough information to do machine portion, there table come assembled.
The legs included with my moms machine were quite different, but overall this video was awesome in getting it setup. Thanks for providing such great instructions for all kinds of people.
Yeah, this is, of course, our set up. Depending who you order from, there will be some differences, but we are making the most helpful videos that we can.
Helped me a lot. My table did not have the 5/16 to put in leg/table to adjust forward/back. Had to screw mine to. A lot of the screws are different. The video definitely helped me.
Thank you for your information it is very useful. I followed and completed in 6 hours It is working fine. My table was different so I followed different RUclips Thank you Eugine
Very helpful video.. the only thing I did different is was I drilled the holes for light and thread stand before putting the pan and head on. That way you don't get sawdust in the oil pan.
This was so incredibly helpful. My machine came with zero instructions how to assemble or use different features. Though it took a while, I was able to put it all together with zero mechanical skills.
Thank you for your tutorial to assembly the yarn:) I get so confused to use big yarn the size is 20/3. When i use it, it can't work properly. Soon i will try small yarn..
Thank you! I recently purchased the DDL-8100 and couldn't find any assembly instruction - then someone told me that its essentially the same machine as the DDL 8700 and I found this video to be incredibly helpful!
Thanks for your SUPERB vidéo. I can't wait to get my machine. Great work. It seems so simple when you show and explain. I feel confident I can do it too. God bless you all !
Thanks for the video. I am assembling a juke 8700 but I didn't find the hand wheel screws in the box, can you tell me which number is it, so I can find out how to get it?
You guys are absolutely incredible. Though there were a couple parts I got stuck on like which screws to use with what, your video is the reason I assembled everything properly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Great video. I wish I came across this before putting my machine together. I am having trouble tightening my belt. The higher the top screw on the motor is the looser the belt. How do I tighten the belt? Also the belt guard makes rumbling noise when I press on the foot petal.
I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. Lifesaver. I would have been so lost. You were so patient and set a good pace in your explanations. God bless you and your team. However, I am still struggling with the knee pad because my machine came with the motor already attached to the table. so I am lost on where to attach the knee press/ Also mine did not come with the light fixture. Do I need to buy it?
lol did you ever find out? I been looking at so many videos trying to find out what it is for. No one says 😂 Update: after some googling… metal pieces are motor brush replacements and the cork thing is brake pad replacement for the motor.
Great video!! I have a trouble with a juki DDL 5530 but I perhaps this DDL 8700 works the same way. I think the knob to adjust the stitch length is broken or disrupted. When sewing forward the stitches are very small but when sewing in reverse the stitches have a normal length. Can I manually adjust the stitch length again?
@@CutSew Thank you the response. It seems like this arrangement creates a grey area where Juki could claim that the machine head was damaged because of the motor, and maybe refuse warranty coverage. That's scary from a consumer's viewpoint, but I guess that's how these machines have been sold forever? Does Juki even make their own servo motor that a customer can purchase optionally?
The only comment I have is I wish it was a little more detailed as which screws went where. Most of pretty self explanatory but others…not so much when you got to the machine
Budget Juki - Free We were given by a friend a JUKI DDL-8700-7 Comes with a computer that is said not to be working (JUKI CP-160) When the power switch to the machine is turned on the CP-160 turns on and everything seems to look ok. But when I push on the pedal nothing runs. It does not show any error display or code to work with. With your experience I was hoping for any advise as to where or what I should try?
I had issues with the tension from the belt. I had to buy a smaller belt. Mine came with a 39”. A 38” is a better fit for mine. Mine kept rubbing on the cover guard things.

all I can say is that this is one of the best tutorials I’ve seen. Very layman focused!! Just excellent and thank you!!
You are a lifesaver. The instructions JUKI sends are pathetic. Bless you.

Great video. Doesn’t look to bad to assemble. Only one thing, a “lock” washer always goes to the nut, it serves no purpose on the bolt head side.
I believe my fuse is blown do you know where I can get a new one ? Do you have a video on replacing it?

Hello, what do you put the nails? What would happen if you do not put the nails
Please can you tell me how to fix thread stuck in bobbin and needle is broken.
I'll try to make a video. Can you send me a picture, so I can see how you did it?

What accessories does the Juki come with? Or does it all have to be ordered separately? Thank you

Thanks for this very informative video! I’m thinking of getting a new sewing machine. Is this the procedure for Juki 5550 N?
Yes, it is!
I bought my Juki off Amazon. They sent me a 39 belt it seems to be too big I can't get it to have tension no matter what. Do I need a 38????
I just bought a 38 and it seems to fit well. I had a 40 before, and I had to adjust the swing-span of the motor all the way out.
Can anyone tell me what the little metal piece with the cork is for?
lol did you ever find out? I been looking at so many videos trying to find out what it is for. No one says 😂

Is there a way to remove the thread guide from the top. Mine popped and I need to replace it
there's quite a few, but it's probably just pushed in there and held with friction, so just pull it out.
i can't get thes screws to tighten down for the cover . ! so frustrated. they just spin and spin like there's nothing to screw into
The belt doesn’t move when I move the Hand-wheel Pulley. I did try tightening the motor but the Belt still doesn’t tense
Maybe you can help me. My sewing machine is going in the wrong direction after assembly. I don’t know how to fix it. Thank you.
Landu, I appologize for the slow response. Did you fix it? I've gotta ask my tech about this one!
If it’s a clutch motor, sometimes there is a switch to make them run in forward or reverse
I got one part that’s metal And cork I can’t figure out where it goes

Filming this video unfortunately. Stay tuned. We're going to keep creating new videos!

Is the motor a JUKI part, or is it third party? If the latter, how can Juki warranty the machine when the motor isn't theirs?
The Juki warranty is for manufacturer defects on the Juki head only.
