Bob you are so kind to take the time to put this out! I got a Juki 5550 for Christmas and we are getting a lot of help with this video on the 8700. I wish I could bake you a pie as a reward! Blessings to you!!
Thank you for doing this. I just started putting it together and your video has been incredibly helpful. I contacted Juki as far as directions go and have yet to hear from them. I have a degree in fashion design and the sewing machines we used were these. They are incredible and probably the best I’ve ever used. I guess they know that.😂

best video!!! instructions that came with the machine were useless...though I got a different table so had to find a different video for that. The knee foot lift portion was missing had to pause video just at the right time to see how it was done.
Oh I purchased one for my Juki TL-2010 and it's wonderful. The only tip I could give you is make sure you are putting the bottom brace where you need it for your machine use. I am using the foot pedal right now and we should have put it in the back section and sadly it is in the front and has to be moved
You need to remove the sewing machine, then the table top, rotate the table top 180 put the table top back on and then flip the foot pad and put the sewing machine back. Our video ruclips.net/video/s7AILadQYNQ/видео.html will show you how to correctly put the table together.
Thanks so much for this video! Do you have details on the motor - model & version? I have watched several videos for this machine and seems like there are different types of models that are compatible with it.

Question: I live in a small apartment building. The walls between neighbors are somewhat thin, but do offer a fair amount of noise isolation. I want to get a Juki 8700. Would this machine be too loud for my neighbors?
Sounds like the reverse is stuck, work your reverse switch back and forth running scrape fabric through the machine. If both forward and reverse is moving in reverse oil may help. Perhaps there is a Video here on RUclips that will show you how to oil and fix your reverse, maybe you need to replace the switch.
nice video, but the setting of the height also depends if you are sitting or standing, and if you have a gas lift office chair, or just a set height dining room chair. ( as there you have to accomodate the operators knees, so the lower leg height is the important one in this case.)

What must be the height of the machine plz rply Previously I uesd old vidya sewing machine but since last two years I'm using juki DDL 8100 E model . Since then I have got neck and shoulders pain I think it's because of the machine and improper sitting chair Plz help me out of this Pls do rply what must be the height of machine as well as the chair or the stool
I understand where you are coming from I too had pain, mostly back pain until I purchased an adjustable chair with a back that pushes against my back. I found the perfect chair at goodwill of all places and gave my expensive chair to my husband for his desk. The legs are adjustable on your sewing table and should be adjusted to your own height. I'm short so how high I have mine will not work for you. Sit with your feet flat on the floor and your arms flat up to your elbows on the sewing table, with your back straight and arms at a 90 degrees flat up to your elbows on the sewing table top. Adjust your chair and table until you can sit in this way comfortably. You will need help to do this. I hope this help. Did you need us to make a video on the best way to adjust the sewing table?
It sounds like your head has froze up from lack of lubrications. Has your machine been sitting along time? The oil does not get to your machine unless it is running. If you have been using your machine then it may be the pump which pumps the oil up to your machine has stopped working. Oil your head and the fly wheel and if you can the shaft in-between. If that works then it is the pump if not you need to take it in to be serviced and fixed. Hope this helps and thanks for your comment.
We will be listing videos on the functions of this machine plus tips and will make sure to add the knee lift being used. To make sure you don't miss these videos click on the bell. Thank you for your comment.
The size of the belt depends on the size of your motor pulley the link below is for the Juki DDL 8700 & H manual on the last page (12) gives the size belt for the different size motor pulleys used on these machines. www.juki.co.jp/industrial_j/download_j/manual_j/ddl8700/menu/ddl8700/pdf/instruction_eg.pdf
I know this was old comment. I had to buy a shorter belt too. My 39” was too loose even when I had the motor as far down as I could get it. A 38” would have been perfect but I ended up getting a 37” cuz I wanted it next day shipping lol. The 37” worked for my needs. The 37”, I had to tighten the motor as high as it would go. Not too much tension on the belt. It works. But the 38” would have been better.
I removed the feed dogs and have done a quilted Halloween bag but I must warn you this machine is really fast and takes a lot of time to get the hang of it which I still haven't but when I do I will upload a video.
@@justthegoodbits1 I subscribed so look forward to seeing more. I worked at a shoe factory a zillion years ago, those were super fast too. Of course, industrial. What's your normal sewing machine?

Hello I have the same machine but I’m having a hard time setting it up. Is there a way you can put my machine together. My husband will pay you and we can drive to you.
In case others read this and also have issue… I had to buy a smaller belt because my original 39” was making it rub on the belt guard. A shorter belt allowed me to “tighten” the motor and it changed the angle of the belt so it didn’t rub anymore. I tried everything to make my original belt work but it always slightly touched the guard. Changing the angle fixed it all. Hope that helps someone if they have same issue.

Not at all, the Juki 8700’s motor makes almost no noise at all. The only noise from this machine is the stitching.

The belt that came with the machine is a M-39 and is too loose on the pulleys. Did anyone else have this issue and do you know what size is correct?

I had to leave my belt guard kind of loose cause it was snug against the belt
In case others read this and also have issue… I had to buy a smaller belt because my original 39” was making it rub on the belt guard. A shorter belt allowed me to “tighten” the motor and it changed the angle of the belt so it didn’t rub anymore. I tried everything to make my original belt work but it always slightly touched the guard. Changing the angle fixed it all. Hope that helps someone if they have same issue.
