Ragitsu I make an effort to play this game every Halloween, and I still get stuck on this level and the section right after it. Freaking Medusa heads!!
I own Castlevania circle of the moon, and I specifically remember the warehouse. That's what I recognize this song from. CotM used a few songs from the other Castlevania games. For example, Aquarius from CV III: Dracula's curse, Vampire Killer from Castlevania, the opening song from CV Harmony of Dissonance, and this song were all used in CV CotM. Although this song and 4-2's themes were combined for CotM.
This is why CotM is my favorite soundtrack. This track and This Sinking Sanctuary from Bloodlines are two of my favorite Castlevania tracks of all time, add those with Awake and CotM really killed it. This OST has a different feel imo from every other Castlevania, but it really works so well to set the mood. I don’t think there’s any other video game series that has consistently knocked it out of the park with every soundtrack. For all of the stuff Konami takes these days they really did perfect hiring the best composers for this series.
Didn't have a SNES as a child and never played this or listened to the soundtrack until recently. This music (also other tracks) is pure genious. Among the best I've ever heard in any game ever.
yes, EGM voted Super Castlevania 4 the game of the year in 1992. I remember when i bought this game for my new SNES on December of 1991 like it was yesterday. I totally felt in love with this legendary game. Been playing it every since.
It's great hearing the origins of various songs on my personal favorite Castlevania. Circle of the Moon was my first Castlevania outside the 8-bit era.
There's nothing better than playing a Castlevania that's new to you and hearing a song from your favorite Castlevania. Circle of the Moon was my first Castlevania.
Is it weird that this music gives me hope for life? It makes me feel like i can still make it lol.. found it epic in my childhood and still feel so energized by it.
I was so happy to hear this theme suddenly play in *Circle of the Moon* late into the game. Completely caught me by surprise with how awesome it was and was even mixed with bits of "Clockwork Mansion (4-2)". Though in hindsight later on, I came to find out most of CotM's music soundtrack are remixes of Castlevania themes from other games in the series. 🫠
Man, this ost and room of associates, also contra 3 new kobe (stage 3) are one of the peak of konami's glorious 16bit era of soundtracks. Kudos for their musicians, they were geniuses!
Super Castlevania 4 is a masterpiece for me that mix amazing gameplay, atmosphere and soundtrack. I remember playing this game over and over just because I loved the music.
1:20 i can still remember plaiying this game on snes in my cousin's bedroom and tbis hit and it was one of my most treasured moments in a lifetime of gaming. This spundtrack rocks!😊
Perfect for a Haunted House Mystery, while CotM's is perfect for an outdoor spooky-ass graveyard. Originally, I liked Cotm's best but now I'm not so sure; I love them both.
This is the best castlevania music ever done in castlevania 4 so many aspects of instruments so many tunes to listen i love it so much. dont misunderstand me the hole Castlevania 4 ost is the Best
It makes no freakin sense how good this music sounds. Like they went the fuck in! And this was all with the sound limitations of the NES. Imagine what they could do with a full band? Like they're actually freakin improvising in this songs. It actually has solos. Like WTF?
This song is like the gentlest "hurry the fuck up ahead" of all time. It makes me so stressed, and probably led to a lot of level failures. But its so good!
It's odd to me. Even though CV has nothing to do with star wars (well okay maybe a few nods here and there) for whatever reason this track resonated when I read anything relating to the Vaapad lightsaber style, or Juyo. This track and the next one.
I didnt knew this was called "Clockwork Mansion" i called it ""Skeleton Fortress"or something like that and i will call it forever. I would say this is a master piece but all ost in Castlevania 4 are master pieces.
Can we just agree that the Castlevania series has one of the top 5 video game soundtracks of all time?
+Alex agreed
top 5?? For me is Top 3 or 2
+Alex
Top Snes
First, un squadron
Casltevania 4
Super Double Dragon
Super Aleste
Final fantasy 4
+Alex That's not we "can agree"
It's already the case.
+ChiptuneKing 101 Donkey Kong country 2 also, some of the best music ever in a game.
I heard this song and instinctively rotated my phone
Kevin Bouchard That's the level after this one lol
Lol. That's awesome.
Haha
Hahaha nice comment
🤣 Nice.
This portion of the castle really showed off Simon Belmont's sheer athleticism.
EITHER BE ATHLETIC OR DIE! Ooh, those spiked pits! Moving ceilings! Oh, my!
Ragitsu
I make an effort to play this game every Halloween, and I still get stuck on this level and the section right after it.
Freaking Medusa heads!!
Is this the Castlevania title where Medusa Heads are most annoying?
@@Ragitsu they're a joke in this one, to me they're devils in Castlevania III
@@las4gna84 That's one adventure I can't wait to tackle.
1:20
This is where the anxiety begins.
best castlevania all time, and one of the best ost´s in game industry history.
1:04 is absolute perfection.
The buildup there is nice.
God, the first 20 seconds hit you like a truck. So much adrenaline once those drums and bass kick in.
The best soundtrack ever ❤❤❤ all music are ❤️🔥🔥 masters piece's
46 years old and still have my snes and original castlevania game + street fighter 2.
45 and same. Saved up money and bought my SNES on day one back in September 91.
DAT INTRO
Death is eminent!!
Imminent
This was in Circle of the Moon, the warehouse level
thanks for mentioning it... I'm a CoTM fan but didn't know about that
I'll have to look out for that since I just beat this game and have just started playing circle of the moon. Thanks
Correct
Indeed and that part was INSANELY HARD!
I own Castlevania circle of the moon, and I specifically remember the warehouse. That's what I recognize this song from. CotM used a few songs from the other Castlevania games. Thank you deadcells for bringing back these masterpieces . Having fun in sanctuary with this track 😁
Dude dead cells is amazing amd fighting death with bloody tears is EPIIIIIIC
This is why CotM is my favorite soundtrack. This track and This Sinking Sanctuary from Bloodlines are two of my favorite Castlevania tracks of all time, add those with Awake and CotM really killed it. i agree with ya, those 2 tracks being in circle of the moon really made the game for me
Man, we agree so much that it's like I wrote this comment. Castlevania music is always the best, but MAN, did they outdo themselves with CotM
The ost of this game sounds so mystical and mythical. The organs are incredible.
that beginning always gives me chills
You know a song is good when it gives Darth Vader chills

I love how this "foreshadows" the next section of the stage from 1:20 - 1:41.
Really good game design & tunes overall ;)!
one of the best sountracks of super nes
My girlfriend gets so pissed off when I'm "humming" this soundtrack since she has no clue what the hell I'm humming. lol
lol
Learn that woman!
I hope she’s still ur mate
@@alejandromomota6934 Yup. Still here. She even changes castlevania soundtracks on her phone when she receives calls from me. haha
Gorgeous track 😍. Castlevania 4 got beautiful music 🎶🎵
It's almost 2020 and the love for this amazing fuckin' game continues. Just bought the game in it's original case to play on my SNES
that beat switch up is nasty as hell
yes, EGM voted Super Castlevania 4 the game of the year in 1992. I remember when i bought this game for my new SNES on December of 1991 like it was yesterday. I totally felt in love with this legendary game. Been playing it every since.
It's so good I listen to Castlevania music every day!
Way more creepier than Circle of the Moon's version.
That change at 1:20 tho!
Is it weird that this music gives me hope for life? It makes me feel like i can still make it lol.. found it epic in my childhood and still feel so energized by it.
Same here..
Can relate.
Its very heroic music, determination 👍
well, i still want to die right now but i’m glad you feel that way
That's kinda the whole purpose of music, tbh.
That intro... so mystic, so epic, one of the best soundtracks of the game for me
I can hear me falling through one of those spinning wooden platforms into oblivion.."Oh oh oh oh...."
Yep, that echo of diminishing volume...
I was so happy to hear this theme suddenly play in *Circle of the Moon* late into the game. Completely caught me by surprise with how awesome it was and was even mixed with bits of "Clockwork Mansion (4-2)".

I heqrd this music in Circle of the Moon first and I didn't know that it was originally from this game, such a cool callback!
Genius of the simplest composition straight from greatness, so compelling to move ahead.
one of the most best soundtrack of castlevania 4.
I got so lucky growing up with these games. Nothing even comes close anymore & that's a understatement
It's all about 1:04-1:18.
The legendary PeyserConley.
ConstrickTheSlayer Hardly "legendary", but I'm glad some people still remember. =)
I think I was subscribed to you're old channel
+PeyserConley X Especially how the bass kicks up around 1:14

My favorite Stage is Fourth and also it comes with amazing 🤩 😍music too and my favorite out of the whole game and also love Simons Theme who agrees

Gothic horror coming for you!

I started listening to progressive rock because it reminded me of the music from Castlevania IV. I wonder if the artist was inspired by it.
Highly likely. Japan worships Western rock and heavy metal.
I think is inspired in 70s music, the real progressive, very elaborated and psychedelic.
Yes it's obvious after a bit. The soundrack has vibes of Yes, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, ELP an King Crimson for sure.
This doesn't even sound like prog rock to me.
It sounds like....
Like.....
Video game music, and nothing else sounds quite like video games music
@@samuelecallegari6117 gonna have to look these up

4-2 or 4-3?
That's Mode-7 graphics for ya. ;)
And the medusa head trying to f him up.
The soundtrack of this game is amazing! :) Gotta love the Castlevania series.
Castlevania had the best soundtracks ever. The intro to castlevania 4 when the green gates came up makes you get hype af. !!!!
I'll say it again, my favorite track on the game!! :P
Beautiful.
Such an amazing soundtrack!
Show de bola trilha sonora fantástica Super Castlevania IV forever.
This song gives me goosebumps 😱
I called this level "Skeleton City" :P
Castlevania 4 > SotN
At the very least CV4 doesn't have a terribly long Game Over screen.
The intro is 🔥 🔥!
Rottating room most very creepy level
There’s something melancholic about that organ line.
For me the melancholic music is the final battle vs Dracula.
Perfect for a Haunted House Mystery, while CotM's is perfect for an outdoor spooky-ass graveyard. Originally, I liked Cotm's best but now I'm not so sure; I love them both.
This acoustic's sound sooooo awesome!

The second best track in Super Castlevania IV, it’s FUCKING AWESOME!
Skulls are starring at me .
along with demon's crest from snes and journey to silius from nes, hands down best music in a game ever.

Both the composers for this game are male.
really?! I can remember very good that the composer of this games back then where a women they even made a documentation of konamis music about it.
Orcbuu Perhaps you are thinking of the original NES games?
she was even in a film of the concert they did make for Castlevania. I do not know what exactly titel she did make music for +Hellraiser Gordon
Thats michiru yamane, and she made Castlevania Bloodlines and SotN (and many others) onwards.
I can hear the game sounds in my head on top of this.
Best and I mean the BEST soundtrack of a video game EVER!!!!
