To anyone willing to read this. Depression is not weakness, and negative thoughts are not a sin. Take pride in knowing that the pain you feel has highlighted your strength to stand and put one foot in front of the other, many others would fall being in your shoes but you're standing and that's strength

Renars s don't don't come here being negative. Go somewhere else with that. She can relate to him and has a connection with his music. She knows that his lyrics are very deep. She has enough stress n demons in her life. She don't need people like you being negative on her channel. So please respect

The last part of the song, he actually asked the producer and everyone to leave the studio and sat on the floor crying/talking to his mom. Was about 15 minutes of that and he condensed it down to what you hear at the end of the song. You can definitely hear the pain throughout the song, he makes you feel his own emotions.
Great video, glad you opened up at the end. NF is a great artist, all of his music is so relatable for most of us. React to more of his music, it's all great.
Remember this, mansion, therapy session, intro 3, I could go on and on.. they are all great

Depression sucks ass. I've found hiding it hurts and (for me) talking about it delegitimizes its hold. It's like when you THINK something and it sounds completely rational, but when you say it OUT LOUD it sounds completely crazy.
I think the more these issues are brought into the open, the more they can be recognized as a serious problem and treated as a serious problem.

    • @blurryface9292
      @blurryface9292 6 лет назад +2

Agree 😑. Music helps me forget about it. People ask me why i wear my earphones all the time and why i shut people out and i just dont answer and smile. I tried talking about it with a friend before but all i got was " dude your a man, youll forget about it soon." And i never talked to anyone about it anymore. I just keep it all inside. Its fucking hell.

Thank you for talking about this. It's important. But also remember, depression is a disease. It is your brain chemistry screwing with your cognition. It is a struggle, always, and the thing about struggles, REAL struggles, is that sometimes you lose. Sometimes you fail. Sometimes you let your thoughts get the better of you. That is not weakness, nor anything to be ashamed of or embarrassed about, it's just part of the normal ebb and flow of any true struggle. The important thing, the only truly important thing, is what you do after you fail. If you can get up and keep going, knowing that life sucks right now but that it won't always, then you win. You beat it. The best way I know of to do that is exactly what you said in the video, remember that somebody loves you, and more than that, you do deserve that love. Everybody does. Without exception. Broken people included. ............ sorry for the novel, it's just that this is important to me and I was kind of inspired by your words ... and for what it's worth, from where I sit it appears you are currently winning your struggle :)

What a wonderful commentary at the end. Beautiful. music has this amazing power of empathy. Songs like this let ppl know they are not alone, that they can get through it, cause the artist got through it. Music like this is important. Music like this really helps ppl. Music like this needs to be shared and heard. Music like this can numb the hurt. maybe help heal completely.

Another amazing reaction from you, the music itself was amazing, I’ve been listening to NF for a few years now, and I’m really hoping you continue to listen to him more, he’s an emotional deep realistic rapper, there’s not a lot anymore of these types, and here’s a tip, you have to listen to his older music to understand his newer ones, again I can’t do much but I really appreciate you reacting to him, thanks

It takes a lot of strength to talk publicly about issues like depression. I suffer with depression myself, and it took me a while to be able to talk about it. For anyone suffering with depression, you have a worth, everyone is important and deserves life. Just cause you have depression doesn't mean you're messed up or that you're worthless. Use it not as a weakness but as a strength to spread awareness and love.

I lost someone very close to me when I was 9, my mom started doing all kinds of things she shouldn't and I was too scared to say anything back, I kept all the feelings to myself and that affected me very badly, but... Loved the reaction part of this video but to be honest, I loved the part of you being honest with your struggles with us. I am subbing after I write this because of your story. You made a reference to not knowing why you're here, what you may never know is that this moment of you being honest and encouraging people NOT to follow through with taking their own life may have changed their decision to end their own life. Just think, saving ONE life is a major deal. People need to see others who struggle actually make it through life. It gives them hope. I heard this once, you can live a month without eating, a week without water, a few minutes (give or take) without oxygen but you can't live one second without hope. There is a scripture that even mentions, hope deferred makes the heart sick. Thank you for being honest. This is why I love NF's music. He is honest and real with people. Prayers for you and all the others here who battle depression. NEVER give up. If you don't think someone loves you, know this. God does.

First timer to seeing a video of yours. I enjoyed the reaction on a number of levels, but mainly because of how you opened up after the video. I wanted to share with you that I too have dealt with so many of the same issues, going on 40 years. It has taken me a loooong time to discover something about depression and myself, and it is this:
I waited in the dark for a light to shine, yet this light, all along, was I

Hey, stay strong. I feel the same way tbh. I've been through a lot. Many of my friends committed suicide, some failed. I have a friend, she went through the same struggle with her mom. Her mom died from an overdose also. It's sad, cause, she knew what was going on too. I cried for her and, I still do. She is strong, so I sometimes look up to her. So, you two share a lot in common if you ask me. But stay strong, you are not weak. You are a beautiful person, and this is coming from a 17 year old. Stay strong.

You're never a weak person if you admit that you struggle with things. we all do. I'm glad you reacted to this video and were able to talk about you. I hope your message does help someone out there because we all need it. I myself struggle with depression, have been since I was a kid, but you find ways to cope. Luckily, I've had the blessing of not being addicted to anything, except music and well, art. Whether that's videos, music, or some form of art, that's my therapy. Stay strong and can't wait to see when you succeed at all the things you're striving for. Muchas bendiciones de Guate!

Now this was a raw reaction. NF truly is gifted with the ability to put such strong emotions into rythm and poetry. I'm glad I clicked on your video.

We all struggle in some ways and we all need our outlets that help us, I understand and I can connect to you with your depression and I can connect with NF about his mom being and addict. I'm grateful that my mom is still alive and not addicted to drugs anymore and I couldn't understand what it would be like losing her like he did

This is such a real reflection.. great job putting it out there. I have always had the same feelings when in my darkest times.. even now here and there. I've always thought sure, there is an "easy" way out of this mess that I've screwed up so much.. but in the end I know for a fact I should never do anything because I worry too much about other people and how it would affect them. A lot of people don't realize but if they did take their life because of depression.. then there is a high chance that anyone close to them will fall into a depression of their own because of your actions. I'd rather keep the burden on myself than put this on someone else.. if not multiple people. Family, spouse, kids, friends, and so many other people that are just there that you affect without realizing it.
Anyways.. yeah.. everyone keep your heads up. Getting help is important.. talking about your feelings is important - even if it is to a complete stranger on the internet. Find a healthy outlet for your mind.

Christan Faerman thank you for this comment ❤️ & you never have to handle it alone because “alone” is a state of mind. You are not alone!

Its hard to talk about and handle. Thats why I love NF, he gave me the courage to actually come out and talk about what goes on in my head.
The scary moments when i need help but that choice tries to smother my voice. NFs lyrics have me the strangth to fight passed that.

Im only 16 and I know exactly how you feel.. Watching this song is extremely hard for me because my mom was addicted for over half of my life and the things I seen heard and have done throughout my life are things I am not proud of and I often wish something bad would happen to me so I can simply forget the things of my past and I suffer from depression and anxiety and I possibly have several mental conditions and suffer from intense migraines and I hear voices in head and see things due to hallucinations and I have cut hundreds of times and have tons of scars and I have tries killing myself 8 different times and think about it daily.. I am Christian as well and it over the years I have found I am even falling away from my faith because of my suffering but.. I just wanted to take the time to explain that I understand how you feel and I understand many other things and I also wanted to say great job on the video and the message at the end... It helps to put my mind at ease knowing somewhere there is somebody that actually cares and understands even though they don't even know me or my story.. Thank you and keep up the work

I'm 45 and I have been dealing with anxiety and depression on and off in my life. The voices in my head say I'm not good enough for someone to love me. The people in my life have at times made me feel like I shouldn't have been born. But one of the things I rely on is God, family, friends and helping others. The voices aren't so loud if I'm not thinking about myself all the time.

I'm 75 now and feel the same as you, people don't understand, it's pull yourself together, oh if only, if I could do that.
I get frightened over nothing it just comes over me, and then it's fight it then fight it then fight it etc etc
Mine mainly is my past life, anxiety is a crippling thing, it's always there and like you it's all day fighting, until I don't want to fight any more.
How the brain and mind works, someone said to me once 'the mind is a very nasty thing' and I realised that's true.
Onwards and upwards I keep telling myself, and one day the fear will stop...
