NF brands his music “Real Music” , and it is. No cursing , meaningful , and about real life issues. Not all of his songs are this sad and emotional. He’s extremely versatile. Check out “Why” , “The Search” , and “If You Want Love” , and you’ll see three different sides of his music.

Yeah your best bet is to either just do each album in order, song by song, or to take the NF Journey. This is the most common order I’ve seen for the NF Journey. Each song foreshadows to the next and references the song before it. It’s a crazy Journey that lets you understand NF and his life and music. Great reaction btw!

NF is paving the way to talk about mental health musically to the point where it needs to be addressed. His music is versatile and You do need to take a break from his music every once in a while to reflect. All of his albums (and a solid portion of his songs) is converted into this Picasso where it literally outlines his life displaying his vulnerability, selflessness, and constant struggle with depression, anxiety, fear and suicidal thoughts. It’s not all doom and gloom as he is now happily married and is making self improvements. His music, as I like to call it, is reflection rap. Songs like “If you want love”, “Change”, “Only”, are only a few that personally I think are his masterpieces. Not because it does well in sales but because it shows the importance on reflection. There is a journey to this and it is long and winded but the outcome of it will make you much more appreciative of what NF brings to the genre. There’s even a RUclips video called “The Power of Vulnerability” (NF) that explains how NF is becoming genre defining. You have a new sub! Remember it is okay to take a break from NF every once in a while. (Although it is hard since his music is so good but it can take an emotional toll)

NF is probably my favorite artist, and I'm not even that into rap. I came here to see this because I'm always curious to see how people react and what they have to say or share about this song. What I learned instead was that you are foster parents and that hits me deep. I was a foster child, thank you for what you do.
I also lost my mom from an overdose of pills and alcohol, but later when I was in my 20's. NF (Nate) lost his mother at 18 yrs old, but she was not in his life because of her addiction. I know that feeling of not having your mother in your life and that pain never goes away. It's always just under the surface.
NF is a whole other level of music, it's therapy. I recommend doing the NF Journey. His music is complex because he ties it all together and will reference things from previous songs, etc. It's like coming in on season 4 of a Netflix series if you jump to his current album. And just a bonus, (for me anyway) he never cusses.

If you can make a person cry from hearing a song, then you're an amazing artist. This song NEVER fails to make me cry. I get so emotional, especially when I watch people's reaction vids to this song

Just found your channel. I've been a huge fan of NF for 3 years now. This guy's music impacts you on a different level and he takes you on a journey through his life and, just as a consequence of that, recounting back through your own as well. When I realized in this video that you didn't know anything about NF yet I immediately thought "oh no! Don't start here! It's going to be so heavy!" This is such a raw song to be introduced to him on. It's amazing and he has raw, real music throughout but this is absolutely one of his most emotionally revealing and it strikes you to the core. You're going to to start seeing the NF fans streaming in dropping suggestions, telling you about his journey and the chronology and order of songs to listen to. I suggest taking them up on it. This guy has a great story. A difficult and emotional one but great all the same. And his musical talent is fun to watch progress. He's great even on his first album but he still manages to top himself with each subsequent album. Looking forward to watching you take the journey!

Honestly, every single song by NF is...words can't fully do it justice but it's always real and raw and so relatable to me, pain knows pain and his music has become a major outlet for me during the darkest and lowest points of my life when no one else was or is. I hope you continue to check him out, you won't be disappointed

This is hard. I lost my mom 4 years ago. She gave everything she had plus her life to the bottle. I get on this kick every couple months when I’m feeling down missing her and listen to this. I can relate so much and am grateful he wrote this. It’s strange, because he is releasing his pain, but in a way when I hear it, I release too. Thanks for your video.

As many folks have stated in the comments, NF is always real about where he is in life and where he has come from. There are many different sides to his music. One that I would suggest(although it is a little further into the "journey") is Remember This. So many nuggets of wisdom in that one. Great reaction!

Definitely go back to the Mansion album to start the journey if you want to understand where he started from and work forward, every song is amazing in very different ways from these type of tear jerkers to songs you could work out to. Great reaction guys

This is a solid reaction. I get the not wanting to play this but for me this song is something I play. I found this song cause I was able to take a friend to an Andy Mineo concert. He told me to check this song out. Deep meaning behind it I have strong feelings about sobriety. March this year I was able to get a 10 year chip in the mail. To see my Mother’s look when she saw me have few tears. It’s not an easy road. I have no kids. I’ve failed relationships and let so many down. But I’ll play this because this is what can happen it doesn’t matter if it’s drinking or pills. I found this reaction late but great job!
