    Get out of the rut of the same boring pentatonic patterns and get a hipper modern sound.
    Using the E minor pentatonic scale ( E G A B D )
    The first pattern is:
    play any note from the pentatonic scale on the G string ex E
    Play the next available descending scale note on the D string ex D
    Go back to the G string, skip the initial note and go to the next ascending scale note ex G
    Down again to the D string, skip the D and play the next descending scale note ex A
    Repeat the patter on the next pair of string sets ex DA, AE
    Experiment with leaving out repeated notes, change the rhythm etc

    You make the best tuts, nice and clear so we can see the shapes and frets used. My strap also keeps falling of my shoulder when I practice!

      Er det til at ha med at gøre på en bas med fire strenge? Det ville jeg tro blev en del positions skift?

    • @MarloweDK
      @MarloweDK  8 лет назад +2

      Jens Larsen Har mest brugt det på guitar;-) men dine drop 2 shell vocings funker på bas!

    Great lessons, but you should use a mic for your voice and send the bass through line for a better sound.

    Thomas, do you know of a version of you but for upright bass? I'm killing myself trying to apply these to upright!!!

    • @MarloweDK
      @MarloweDK  7 лет назад +1

      No, but notes are universal, (just) apply doublebass fingerings and maybe work on 2 strings at a time

      Hey thanks for answering, I've started doing so with your "How to play a advanced pentatonic scale bass run in all keys in the circle of fifths" video, in some, I had to play some bits up an octave. Nevertheless that has been really useful. Thank you for all your work its really appreciated. Greetings from Argentina.
