Sram Cheerios in Vintage. Deck is super fast with either turn 1 or 2 wins, with a bunch of 0 drops to win with grapeshot.

Pauper feels so much like standard with all the standard cards in it, it just happens to be that all the good standard common cards are mono red
Yeah it’s really dependent on the color though. Colors like black and blue(aside from writhing necromass and tolarian terror) use older cards a lot more frequently

Red hasn't been good in standard in so long, its been dominated by green for years

Try WB Pestilence, Mono-Red doesn't stand a chance, and you get some pretty cool play patterns with the Skyfishers like you would in Mardu Artifacts

Bruh this list is great exactly what I've been looking for. I've been on Wall combo forever but Pestilence control has been murdering me.
Pauper are infested with certain archetypes because of the cost and consistency I guess.

I've been interested in building an Izzet Narset build for modern. Run cards like Narset parter of Veils, Burning Inquiry, Conspiracy Theorist, and Hollow One to disrupt opponents hands and build card advantage. Bit of a midrange style build that can go more control if needed or aggro depending on the matchup.
Would you be able to try and play this in Jeskai? Using Kenku Artificer to Animate the wellsprings / indestructible lands? :)
I can't stop thinking about this deck list and I'm going to make this in paper just to surprise my play group, with a land destruction spell that I always use on myself lol! But I really Wana know, would this decks strategy work with higher rarities? Well like modern or kitchen table magic style. What would make this deck EXPLODE it's value

For the people who are unfamiliar with pauper - the first deck wasn't classic burn, it was a mixture between monored prowess and kuldotha red, the list looked quite weird :)
Nowadays burn and kuldotha blended into a single deck. It was the same deck as the third game
You confuse combo with synergy
You can also use duelcaster and twin flame infinite tokens with haste
One of my first drafts, I mulliganed to three and my opponent did too in the same game. Sadly, their three was Island, Mountain, Saheeli Rai.
All i heard the whole video was swiftspear lol. Gee pauper sure sounds fun... glad I play modern. Always some new shenanigans going on in modern.
I love your pauper content!! Please do more. Perhaps you could play in practice rooms instead of leagues if you're really tired of mono red. I don't think red will be as prevalent there as in leagues. anyhow, love your vids, especially pauper ❤️❤️

As much as people would hate to hear me say it: I think swiftspear or, heaven fore-fend, lightning bolt are the two biggest problem cards of the format. The first is too good on the attack step and avoiding removal while the other is so much damage for its mana cost. I think MSS is the main culprit due to how screwed it makes the red zone (heh) and how damn survivable it is.

Hey! I like this deck a lot, and I'm interested in the pauper format, so I'm going to buy this deck. I've seen you made another video about this deck but noticed a difference and wanted to ask. Why did you swap deadly dispute for kuldotha rebirth?
Also, what could I swap dust do dust with? thanks!
You need dust to dust, it is a must have in the format as it is so good against affinity. Kuldotha is better than dealdy dispute as it is cheaper and makes blockers. I found myself getting mana screwed or don’t have enough mana to cast dispute. Good luck!

If you want to beat red, take out all the black from this deck and main 4x Seeker of the Way. A list in my group has been winning tournaments left and right with a similar build. Imo going 3 colors weakens the Skyfisher/Glint Hawk/Synth synergy.
I live to hear u say “and like an absolute beast we rip blah off the top” when u pull a card that changes the tide in a really bad situation

Hey what is the program you are playing on?
Cleansing Wildfire and Geomancer's Gambit are two of my best ramp spells in my budget Breya Deck, and everytime someone sees that interaction they get a little mindfuck. A guy at locals could not be convinced that it worked as such.
Yeah the printing of the bridges and Cleansing Wildfire got me into playing red in EDH. People think I'm crazy for running them, until I manage to cast them 2-3-4 times in a single game. Suddenly it goes from "unlikely combo" to "wildly imbalanced."

Feed the algorithm
I found a way to deal with red burn: mono black burn. It allows you to have your opponent lose life while you gain life, making it more difficult for their attacks to connect. I'm still fine tuning my list but I have gone 3-2 in leagues with it (losing mainly to Affinity).

gaining life doesn't make it more difficult for their attacks to connect. it just means they have to make more attacks.

Pauper has a Swiftspear problem
Wait. Indestructible you try to destroy but it doesn't fizzle when you don't destroy.
It seems really strange that indestructible lands are valid targets for Cleansing Wildfire, or is it just me ?
i havnt played MTGO but on arena i have a standard deck rn that has 20 lands and its dual color, but the highest cost card is 4 mana. i dont have trouble getting lands usualy. my start usually has 2 lands, and that gets me by til i draw more usually, but i like it when i start with 3 lands. im pretty sure mtg arena is rigged. i was wondering if MTGO is also rigged, namely the shuffler? or does it have proper RNG?
I feel like opening hands in paper are much more consistent than Magic Online for some reason.

Not that this is pauper legal, but a new card in All Will be One reads, “Destroy target artifact. If you controlled that artifact, create 3 1/1 goblins.” I think this would be awesome in a artifact bridge land deck like this. Sucks that this card is uncommon!
There is one like this legal in pauper already that this card is designed off! It’s called “Kuldotha Rebirth”. You might wanna check it out.
For the algorithm
This might not work if a ruling about it needing to destroy the land. I'm not saying that it is a sure thing that it requires you to destroy the land.

Wow… burn is 22% of the meta. I have been out of pauper for 4 years and honestly feel fine about it. Completely different format now. Back in 2019 it was more diverse.

no, it's still a valid target. it would fizzle if opponent gave the land hexproof at instant speed or sacrificed the land

The land is a valid target, it is just indestructible. “Destroy target land”, I am targeting the land it just cant be destroyed.

If I need to Mulligan more than once its an instant forfeit. The game isnt fun without at least 1 free mulligan

Red is absolutely not the weakest color historically. Mono red aggro has been a staple of multiple formats for decades.
