Adam, my husband asked me to reach out to you and congratulate you for being so concise and on point with the information you provide in your RUclips videos. Raymond a.k.a Coop, just wanted to give you that shout-out! Happy Labor Day to you and your family!
What you do is save cars one at a time from going down even further to a point that they just don’t ever drive again. Great info, great backstory too!!
@@rustyspringsranch2471 I did, but not as well as I wanted to. The A pillar seal was hard as a rock reproduction. I replaced it with one I had in stock. I was marginally better closing. All of the windows need adjustment.
Adam you brought another GM A body back to life. I was great to see you bring another great GM back to life. Paint looked good after your attention. Waiting for the next informative video. Good job keep going.
Adam, first time watching your videos. I had to tune in when I saw you were working on a 72 Cutlass Supreme convertible. I have a red 71 Supreme convertible with the same interior as that one that I have had since 1999. I also have an exhaust leak and was wondering if I could fix it myself like you did. It looks like a lot of work so I might take it to a professional. You did a great paint correction on that one, and looks very sharp. Thanks for the video. Will watch more in the future.
Good job nice to see people out here doing what they like instead of something u don’t like and just get paid for u enjoy life more when u do what u love it took me a long time to learn that the hard way
Keep posting those videos, Adam! The ideal RUclips video view length is somewhere around 21 minutes, a lot of people (statistics) find that 1 hour is too long, so you could have made this a 3 part series. But hey, I'm not complaining!👍
I had a mountain of footage for this job....total time without being edited was an hour and a half. I told myself that if it was an hour or less when edited, I would send it as one video. If the owner had me do more with the car, I would have split it up for sure.
there is a hidden adjustment for the secondary flaps. If there isn't enough tensipon on the little spring it will bog. Look on the botton if the top plate, right side and you will find a set screw where you can add temsion to the flaps, keeping them from opening to quickly
Without looking at the video, not 100% sure....but at the time, I had two 1972 GS's there in blue. One Stratomist blue stage1 suncoupe, and the other was a royal blue coupe.
Wow good job. 50 year old car NOW needs a carb and a fuel line, you don't like cleaning wheels ? How much old gas was in tank ? You didn't reattach the air filter vac hose. I can only imagine but I would bet it now needs a engine pipe and maybe exhaust manifolds. I don't think your a butcher, but you sure are a dope ! Lol. What's next?
PAINT CODE 65 is the old Chevy" Hugger Orange" in 1969 it was code 72 and Pontiac called it Caracal Red IN 1970 They changed the code # to 65 but it still the same paint formula .

Thank you so much! Same to you.
Did you notice the trailer hitch mounted to the back bumper this car is a true survivor
Oh yes, it was on the list of stuff to address. He wanted it removed. Thankfully, it was just bolted on and not welded.
Love those cars
So much class
So much fun and comfortable to drive!!!
Thanks
Keep the vids coming on the 72 cutlass! I just subbed!
Thank you!

Thanks! This was one I was really looking forward to working on.

Good stuff. I appreciate the lack of fancy tools that are not required to make progess

That burnt orange was a very common color for the Cutlass in 1972. Nice old convertible!
Same on the Buicks. It was very popular.
Nice story, ironically my childhood neighbor has a 72 HT in the same color combination.
Nice!
Great video, I have the same car but 71 ❤️
Well optioned olds nice
Keep up the good work
GOOD STUFF THANKS.

Clean car
Try a small pump up sprayer to apply the degreaser. Goes much faster and better reach.
It's on the list...just need to remember the list when I go shopping LOL
Can you make a video on how to put the bumpers back on , mines came in pieces so I don't know the bars or mounts or which bolts to use
It's been ages since I worked on a Cutlass. You might have some better luck on an Olds specific forum or FB page.
That’s strange I couldn’t find the oil stick on my 442 just like how you showed it in the video.
Would truly love to have a classic Olds from that generation. What is the blue car to the right?

Thanks for the kind words! Have you ever considered the fact that the customer had limitations on what I was allowed to do?
No such thing as a cutty its a cuttlass n no such thing as a donk its a chevy impala 🇺🇲
