    I own a 85 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme brogham. Had it since highschool I just turned 40 in August. I still keep it up and running . I've rolled the odometer twice already. 😂

    I remember as a kid in the 1990z those were the most stolen cars in fresno. Its nice that you guys are still fixing up old g body's!

    That’s great that you all saved a good G body from certain destruction. I have an 87 442 with 18k original miles. Cutlasses are getting harder and harder to find.. Keep saving them guys👍👍👍

    My original owner 1985 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham white with dark blue interior is still running. I bought it new in Orlando, Florida as my dependable transportation college car. I still drive it and now live just 60 miles from where I purchased it. Mine came with the landau top, Buick 3.8 and the metric TH200 with locking torque converter transmission. Yes, I've owned and driven it for some 38 years now.

      @@ClassicGBodyGarage My original owner 2004 JEEP Grand Cherokee just turned 187,000. My girlfriends original owner 2004 Honda Accord is at 387,000 owner driven miles. Her's has all original drivetrain (nothing rebuilt) and the body and interior look like a cared for 5 year old car. Buy what you really like and maintain it .

    I just snatched up a white 80' cutlass 2 days ago. Ttops, buckets/console car. Pretty solid car. No motor/trans. We'll see what ends up in it.

    I owned a 1986 Cutlass Salon in the late 1990s. I also owned a 1981 Grand Prix in the mid 1980s. Thank you for saving these great cars.

    I had to take my ‘78 Cutlass Supreme to our local Pick A Part in the late 90’s. I wish I knew how to fix it then. I miss that car!

    Solid g body's are hard t9 find up here in Canada. First I saved my 78 malibu from the stock car/drag car guys, then from rust.

      Yep same with in Norther Ohio where i am from. I drove about 6 hours south to get this one. They stay cleaner there in Kentucky.

    I bought some taillights and other parts from Classic G Body several years ago to keep my original owner 1985 Cutlass on the road and looking nice.

    And of course the transmission pan has a hole in it. They always do that at pick and pull./part drives me crazy and they also bend every driveshaft when they pick it up with the forklift haha

      Yep they pop them to drain the fluid but still had a bunch in it. Had to put another pan on it.

      It was more than just the header panel, frame was bent which is why we didn't save that one as well.

    Man its a shame you couldnt save Monte Carlo as well? If you pull it would have let me rescue it i would have
    rebuilt the front end on that Monte Carlo

      Yep it sucks but can't save them all. Frame was bent on it which is why I passed. Has rust issues too.

    Who ever junked this car sorry to say it but they r dumb these r gold mines … I bought 1 with a bad engine spun bearings out with lame 3.8 and in with a vortec 5.7 I have on a stand n automatically value goes up 🤑 .. any way Brian awesome video save the cutty n keep the G body rolling like u say🤙🏼

      I have the same car I has a tbi 350 going carb what's a good electric fuel pump the tbi engine has a spot for Manual pump/ but not sure that engine takes a m pump ? but I'm stuck right there I want to get it running bad it's project car for my son

    When was the smog system introduced? I have a 79 Elco. Having a hard time w emissions here in Co. According to emissions main office my car needs smog pump n everything that goes with it. Some people say my year is excluded but office says different. I've been searching n buying smog stuff for my car n it's freaking confusing me. Help 😵

      To my knowledge, 1980 was first year for all US and anything prior it was considered California emissions as I have seen many pre 79 with Smog pumps that say California on the shroud decal

    BTW THAT MONTE LOOKED FIXABLE SINCE LAST YEAR AND AERO HEADLIGHTS. LOOKS LIKE A TRANNY SWAP FOR. OLDS AND MINOR BODYWORK NEEDED WE BOUGHT NEW 84 FROM DEALER VUTLASS GOR 7300 BUCKS

      It was fixable but had a bent frame in the front. Needed too much and the Cutlas was the better choice.

      I get it but you can't save them all and you need to cut your losses and that car was a loss in my opinion considering the frame. It also had plenty of rot to go along with it. Pull A Part offered me one of 2 cars and I chose the one with much more potential.

      Same here had a 63 Impala SS hit in quarter as kid in 1966! Cheeper to buy new than fix got it to run but had to sell
      It and parts I hAD GOT. NEW TAILLIGHTS WERE. 2.45 A PIECE
      ....A SHAME.

      They flatten the cars and stack on a truck, they don't cube them.

    Yeah I miss my 1984 Cutlass Supreme it was tan with brown interior. Unfortunately it had the 3.8 l V6 I bought it with a blown engine and transmission in 1990 for $150 and I bought it parts car and put the other engine at tranny and it drove it for six or seven years I think I got my money sort out of it.

    Pull a part is not supposed to let outside people work on cars in their yard

      This is true and we didn't. We brought the car to a friend's shop to work on it and also pulled parts off the Monte in the yard just like anyone else does.

    Bro all you had to do is remove the steering wheel to gain access to the ignition switch… the. Just swap it out with a new one instead of swapping out the Column

    Really he pulled the whole column out why wouldn’t you just pull the steering wheel the turn signal switch and remove the ignition switch and just start it with a 10 mil socket or pliers or something? Good to see you back on RUclips anyways.

    *C'Mon! Neither one of you guys know how to crack a GM column right above the turn signal lever, pop that spring out and push the slide forward, column unlocks and ignition cranks....I've heard* 👀

      Why destroy a column when you can put an ignition cylinder in it? We had a column on hand and doesn't take long to swap. I replaced the cylinder in the other we removed.

    Wow talk about super clean interior and all over car my dream car would b love a Buick regal or Pontiac grand prix of same or similar year by any chance is the amplifier and head unit available if you decide not to use would love to take them off your hands she is going to clean up very nice don't make em like that anymore

      Thats cool, go ahead and buy yours new but some prefer used and it sells well there which is why they sell it. They also filter out any debris. Besides, a little oil in coolant isn't going to harm anything

      If you're referring to the Monte, the frame was bent from the front end accident among several other issues. The Cutlass was a much better foundation to save.

    That's an 85 not an 86! 86 had a third brake light in rear window

      You are correct on 85 vs 86 and the brake light but the light was missing. I added it back from the Monte.

    Nah ugly body I own a 86 Monte Carlo LS they sold it to Scrap yard for metal I have it for 14 years now is a restored beauty it never had any rust

      @@i-tiyahman6519 Jesus someone isn't getting laid, chill out, I own an all original '69 GTO Judge and an '87 442 with a 455, been around cars my whole life, my uncle had a '66 Chevelle convertible and bought a '69 GTO with his GI benefits after getting out of the Navy.
      I have worked on my own cars my whole life.
