Well this coming tournament is very different so a firmer hand is needed to get the students in the correct mindset.
Not to mention there will still be tension between them after last season so Mike will need to nib that in the bud early on order for them to train together.

Considering he’s the only one who has experience with karate tournaments on a “world” stage, I’m thinking karate’s bad boy is the best suited one for preparing them for what’s to come.
I think the ribbons are meant for hitting and the one with the most remaining ribbons moves on, not sure if they are for speed or if they have to be a hit. The kids are going to have to get used to fighting beyond more pain than they are used to, I know Miguel went through a lot and is OK now but I don't see him being able to get through the tournament.
man i really hope miguel has his best season here. After being paralyzed, getting injured in the all valley semis, finding out the truth of his father, i really hope this season he's finally happy and ends up winning the tournament. The show started with Miguel and it should end with him.

@@josephblocker2724 It’s not, that has never been said and the fact that it’s looking that way in the trailer makes it even more likely that someone else is getting the shine this time. It’ll likely be the people they’ve been building up for 4-5 seasons now, Tory and Robby.

I will like it so, very much if Mike's role in Season 6 will have him do a lot better instead of having him getting knocked out easily again. I can hardly wait to see him fight and prove how much he still remembers what he is good at.
Daniel's win in 85 wasn't "Kind of lucky", it was nothing but Luck😳. Barnes had him beat mentally 1st and flat out intimidated to the point where Daniel told Mr Miyagi that he was afraid of him.
He was lucky against Johnny as well.

You can tell he's in better shape now. It sort of bugged me that he looked a little... puffy, in season 5. But in this scene he LOOKS like Mike Barnes again. Lean and formidable.

Well you need to remember that he was running a business so maybe didn't have enough time to dedicate to training as he wanted.
But now he has it and is motivated so is back in shape.
Johnny and Daniel were a little soft at the start of the show but got back into shape when they had a reason to.
So it makes sense.
I would like to see some bonding time between Mike Barnes and Johnny Lawernce in Season 6 upon their shared experiences in Cobra Kai and they will understand each other upon training and enjoy their company.
Barnes was a rental for like 2 months and only really trained with Kreese for two weeks (since Kreese was hiding to pretend to be dead). Johnny was Cobra Kai for 5 years all under Kreese. Won't be the same. Maybe they can share Daniel bullying stories like Johnny and Chozen did in Season 5.

Hawk isn't as prominant as he once was due to too many character, I can't see them working together.

@@piloto88ed No. Kreese is a wanted man for the jail break. He doesn't dare return to the USA. He's working with the woman sensei in some foreign country, and Tory can't abandon her mother and brother to go there. Despite everything, they are more important to Tory than karate.

I prefer your last theory that the fights on the sparring desk will be to determine the leaders, not the ones who are going to the tournament. I believe that the 4 main kids will figth anyway, just having leaders.

Here's a thought: what if Mike is secretly recruiting those he eliminates for a dojo he might be operating in secret? It's possible that the guys like: Hawk, Tory, maybe Kenny will go to him, however he'll still be supporting Miyagi-Do if his dojo doesn't defeat Cobra Kai. Just a thought, although I know that in season 5 it's revealed that he was banned from competing after what happened in 1985, however maybe he does have a secret dojo.
i feel like for the proper fighting part of it will likely have miguel,robby,demetri,hawk,and kenny for the mens division and than tory,sam,and devon for the womens division but i think certain fighters will also get selected for certain parts and matches like weapons display,team matches,and even fighting with weapons cause mike did say he knew people who had died
Maybe I’m being too obvious, but Sam is Daniel’s daughter, and Robbie and Miguel are Johnny’s sons. Maybe they’re together because it’s a sort of family outing, rather than this being “the team.” Just a thought.

Now that it's confirmed that Barnes is back in the picture, I wonder if during the time that Sam, Miguel, and Robby are with Daniel and Johnny in Barcelona if maybe Hawk, Demitri, and Kenny are with Barnes and Chozen somewhere else doing some training and Tory and Devon are with Julie Pierce at that same moment

I thought the Sakai Takai tournament was a team type of tournament. Maybe it is just one or two fighters, from each dojo. Bc it would be too long, if it was every member from each dojo. Kenny and Hawk should bond and become friends. They've had similar paths. They both were bullied. Then found Cobra Kai to give them confidence and strength. They became bullies. Hawk turned his life around. From what you just showed us, looks like Kenny has also.
I also forgot to add that if Mike Barnes and Hawk train than maybe we’ll get a backstory on Mike Barnes. And who taught him Karate, because take a look back at Karate Kid three, terry silver paid Mike Barnes to try and beat Daniel Larusso with any means necessary. Also remember. Terry silver never trained Mike Barnes, Nor master Kim sun- Yun
that is true, it will be interesting to know who’s mike barnes sensei was and people forget that mike barnes was aggressive and brutal not because of cobra kai but because of his sensei, what i hope for his sensei is to be connected to cobra kai somehow thru kim sun-yang maybe.
there is a new image of mike barnes if you have seen it but on his left shoulder Gi it says “Shotokan Karate-Do” and has a scorpion symbol on it 🦂

They need different sensei. What I mean is They might bring back Julie pierce, and here’s why the girls, Need a female sensei. That can help teach them. New things. Like how with cobra Kai , with sensei Kim Da- eun,. I think in Mr. Miyagi’s chest is a clue to Juli’e and also secrets maybe his fathers’s teachings of Karate. Or maybe it will lead all the way back to Shimpo, sensei who knows. I think Mike is Tory’s father. Or it could silver or Kreese, Idk

See you have 2 sides, Kim Sung Young that filters down to cobra kai, kreese, silver and so on, and then you got Shipo Sensai filter down to Miyagi, Sato, Chozen Daniel. You got 2 masters, but who the helllllll taught MIKE BARNES, Whos his master?????? He didn't learn on his own, so who taught Mike to be the awesome dominant fighter he is. You should make a video about that huge missing information

Barnes/Chozen will take Tory as a pupil and adopt her and her brother. That way, she'll be able to go to college or do something else to her future with fewer difficulties.

There is also a theory going around that the LaRussos would adopt Tory and her brother, or at the very least take them in if their mom dies before Tory can finish high school.
TBH, I don't think Tory will go to college, at least not right away. Her main goal has been to keep her family together, so she really hasn't had any thoughts of a career path. IMO, she'll get a FT job, be her brother's guardian and makes sure he has a better chance than she did, and date Robby.
No one is going to adopt Tory, as she's almost 18 years old. Chozen is an Okinawan citizen temporarily visiting the USA, so he's not going to adopt. Mrs. Barnes isn't going to adopt children she doesn't know, especially while she and Mike are in financial trouble until they can rebuild their furniture business. At most, the LaRussos could get Tory legal help to become her brother's guardian.
@@rowanaforrest9792 At the end of S5, they showed Mike Barnes took a Rembrandt from Silver's house. That painting (the name eludes me right now) was stolen in the late 80's and is valued at $100 million, with a 10% reward to whoever returns it. Mike returns it, collects the reward, and definitely has the money to rebuild the furniture store.
That said, I don't think Mike would take Tory and her brother in, as he doesn't know them well enough. If they wind up going anywhere, it will be with the LaRussos, and only until she finishes high school, so she can then get a FT job and become her brother's guardian.
I think Chozen went back to Okinawa that's why Danny and Johnny went to Mike to train the fighters
Chozen has no experience with tournaments, as he, much like Mr. Miyagi, "fought for life, not points". Mike has plenty of experience in big tournaments, so him being brought in makes total sense.
Barnes and Chozen would make a powerful duo. Back in S5 with the misunderstanding fight, Barnes actually landed a hit on Chozen and Chozen wasn’t drunk when he fought Barnes unlike Silver.
Yes, that fight was also very even they both were struggling equally. It was cool to see
The fact that we’re even having this conversation of who was able to even hit Chozen shows how he’s the closest thing to Mr. Miyagi at this point.

Another thought - what if Barnes does cut Tory. Remember she had a very close relationship with Kreese and he thought she was very good (as did Kim Da Un). What if Kreese was to contact her and say “since you won’t be representing Miyagi Fang, why not come and join us?? We can always use a strong female competitor.” Just thinking outside the box. I do like your thought that Tory’s mom will die and that would make sense for her not to go.
Hmmm, intriguing. Tory is close with Kreese, but I'm not sure she'd be willing to go with Kim Da Eun after being forced to break her hand on the stone dummy.

Robby vs. Miguel in the apartment fight in S5 ended in a draw. They wouldn't do it again.
@@TheJohnnyCotts Nope! Miguel was just delivering haymakers on Robby(which only amateur fighters do), and in typical fashion, because writers favor Miguel over Robby, Miguel had to win the fight, while keeping integrity.
Mike Barnes is needed for Season 6 and is needed to help win the tournament. His unique style will be invaluable.
WATCHPARTY: This is a very good point that you make. I like how you point out that just because Tory (might) get eliminated, it doesn't mean that she still doesn't have at winning with the dojo. She's not going to like Sam being chosen as captain & certainly not going to like taking orders from her, that much is clear because well that's Tory's character & nothing was resolved between her and Sam and that right there is going to cause enough tension between them, Sam being chosen by Barns over her will just add fuel to the fire. Do you think it's possible that maybe like Robby & Miguel (depending on if that's why both of them are there in Barcelona) that Sam & Tory could wind up being Co-Captains in the Seiki Taiki?
Great video WatchPartyyyy as always i have a theory about what is mr.miyagi’s secret is,what if it will be revealed that Mr.miyagi was a sekai taikai champion and he never told daniel about it? it will be interesting to know that mr.miyagi was a world champion and he got his trophy in the box hidden from daniel? and the reason why he hides is because he doesn’t want daniel to participate in it as he hates fighting?
I have a crazy season 6 theory:
I thin that daniel doesnt personally know julie pierce, so how does she get invited for the training. Well thats my theory, u all remember the Mr Miyagi secret place in the trailer, i think he was supposed to tell daniel about it but passed away before he could so that remained a secret. Now Mr Miyagi probably wrote secrets of Miyagi Do like when Chozen gave Daniel a paper of the secret move in season 3 and maybe one of the secrets he wrote are his other students or friends or even his fellow Karate mates or other good martial artists in Miyagi Do and one of them could be Julie.

From what I've heard there is a $10 million reward for that painting and seeing as it's a fiction show, they could make up any amount that they want... but either way it is awesome too see that Mike "FUCKING " Barnes looks to be a big part of the final season

Tory getting cut could be a possibly. The only reason is because in a bts picture she’s wearing the same pants as the Korean students or she’s just wearing them to wear them who knows. But she shouldn’t get cut.

Before season 5 came out I watched the show from the beginning. I plan on doing that again for season 6. Plus I'm going to watch the movies first. Even the one with Julie, just in case she shows up. I watched part 1 last night, tonight will be part 2.

I guess Mike Barnes got his bad boy karate persona. Because he participated in the sekai taikai and he has war stories that molded him. That is my theory.

If there's anything to complain about when it comes to Cobra Kai, it's the fact that they are too soft
I would love to see Barnes and Daniel fight, even if its just and in-school competition. When it happens, Barnes absolutely dominates Daniel physically, psychologically, and skill wise. Daniel has no chance, and the fight last all of 12 seconds.
After its over, Barnes starts teaching the class about his psychological tactics and how to be very effective with them.
I am an assistant ninja instructor for those that may think there is a gut punch please remember that when punched in stomach the blow reduction excerscise asks that when you get punched in the stomach you need to exhale !!!
I don’t know if it will happen, but I hope Julie Pierce returns for the final season. It would be nice to see both her and Daniel interact since they were both Mr. Miyagi’s students. I think she could definitely help in training Miyagi Fang.

Personally, I think Robby should win the tournament, and yes, I also think Miguel deserves it just as much, since all he’s been through is tough. But personally, Robby lost 2 finales, and the first of them he 100% should’ve won, while yes, Miguel or Robby have to win it, I think it should be Robby. This is just my opinion and feel free to share ur opinions too.
