@@blaizegottman4139 it's not bro chicken tikka masala was created in England along with the Fal Edit: still Indian ingredients but the dish started in England so 50/50 in my eyes
The English did a little trickery with the name of this dish and branded it to be originated in England. It was not called chicken tikka masala in India, they just named it and conquered this dish as well. In India you can get over 20 types of Naan and about 30 different tasting chicken curries and all of them tastes hella good.
You know why i love watching this guy and have loved it for years... 1. I can learn about new foods I've never tried or heard of because he just makes them all seem so god damn delicious and 2. when I'm on my shred diet I can visually enjoy food while eating my rabbit and dog food
Imagine going on a first date with this dude to a restaurant. He'd probably finish his four course meal while you're sitting there in shock, trying to get through your appetiser.
Chicken tikka is one of my favourites, love love love Indian food, from what I know is when Indians came over to England and set up amazing restaurants & takeaways us brits couldn’t deal with the really hot curries very well😂 so they created a milder dish aka chicken tikka masala and it was a hit, so an Indian created it for the British palate, I’d still class it as Indian food though 👍🏼
It was actually a Bengali man, from Bangladesh not Indian. A lot of Bengalis came to the UK during the partition and the war to find work in the UK and a lot of them got into the restaurant industry, so to cater to the British palette, they had to name it Indian food because that’s what was widely known, instead of “Bangladeshi food” (: x
I can tell you it's more of a Punjabi cuisine as opposed to belonging to a specific country. The punjabi community is spread out over both Pakistan and India. The british just appropriated it after the immigration of many a south asian household to the UK in the late 20th century. Regardless, the dish just slaps. Alsooo, it's just naan. Naan bread is literally like saying bread but twice so like I'm eating bread bread lmaoo
