Joey you single it absolutely beautiful. I never got to meet you but I followed your cancer battle. I grew to love you deeply. I saw in you a beautiful lady and a singer who was absolutely amazing. My daughter was battling cancer at the same time. You passed one day and her the next. I thought my heart would break because I felt like I lost two daughters. To know Joey is to love here. She was filled with the love of our Lord. Never in my 66 years have I met a more sincere and true Christian who glowed with the love of her saviour. I have no doubt where you are my beautiful daughter Susan are. I can't wait to see y'all.
I.love you Joey. People may say how car you love her you never even met her. Its because she's so filled with Jesus Christ that's what I love.

My Wonderful amazing Daddy (Richard "Wayne" Hayes SR) named me because of this song back in 1976 My daddy passed away 2009 I miss him so much I listen to his music and its as if hes still here! RIP Daddy I love you Im Praying for joey+rory baby Indi and their family for strength I really couldn't imagine my heart breaks for them I hope they get the miracle they have been praying for! Sung so beautifully, and yet so effortlessly. Far better than the over-produced, voice-altered, image focused junk coming out of Nashville for the last 20 years(or more). She is one of God's angels, taken from us far too soon. I'm sure the good Lord had more important things for her to do there, than to entertain us down here. Although, "I'm Not Lisa" would become Colter's first major hit as a solo artist..... I find it truly remarkable how Joey's version, takes this song to a whole new level. There are several versions of this song, done by many individuals. However, nothing comes close to Joey's version. Her voice and style are very unique and unmatched.

Hard to believe that someone like this walked the earth. When I first saw this woman I thought to myself, what a beautiful woman. Then when I heard the story I thought to myself wow, what a beautiful woman. If I am lucky, maybe there is a place for me at her table in heaven.

Oh Joey I didn't think I could listen to you single it but just hearing your beautiful voice I wasn't sadness You single it so goodnight I miss you sweetheart but we will all father one day. I expect to see you. My daughter went home one day after a battle with cancer and the next day you went home. I cried for both of you because you both are so missed but I know exactly where both of you are and soon we will all join in that wonderful meeting. Your darling little girl is growing and is so smart.

She’s very good, for sure, but this version is not anywhere near as haunting and heartbreaking as the one by the song’s original writer and singer, Jessi Colter. Colter’s piano intro and pure voice could not be matched on this classic, but this is the next best version in my opinion.

Joey is home with God, I know how that comforted her, from what I have read and seen of them. It is the same for me, death holds no darkness, those we loved here are waiting and that is a perfect thing. God bless Rory and their baby girl.
Yes it was so sad as always to see a wife die young leaving her mate too soon but even more leaving her baby. Of course Rory raised two daughters alone who are now grown and will be there to help him fill the empty days ahead! God bless Rory and keep him close!!
I really enjoy both versions as both ladies are extremely talented in their own right. My wife and I saw Jessi perform this a while ago at a live concert and the silence in the hall was deafening.
