The wheels on the skids are used to move the helicopter around on the ground. They rotate down and allow you to push down on the tailboom and roll it around.

Note, In regards to the Tail Rotor, The Main Rotor ( On single axial rotor configs) creates a Yawing torque on the fuselage/Helicopter due to and in relation to the amount of power to the MR , that is then counteracted or balanced by, in this case, the TR. The Gyro effect you mentioned have other effects & causes.
The wheels on the Scout aren't meant to be used for landing and taxing. They are used when shut down and you need to move the helo around like into the hanger. Taxing the Scout is done like all skidded helo's and that is in a slight hover.
This heli looks so cool, and if I wasn't absolutely horrible at flying helicopters in the sim I'd buy it. I wouldn't mind a default military heli to practice with, but the two default helis in the sim are just not ones I can't get a hang of. Flying-wise, yes. Accuracy and landing not so much.
The sound is needs modification. There is a soft Huey womp that the scout doesn't have. The throttle should be fully open before take off. The red strobe light needs to be alot brighter. And the real scout only has 1 spot light under the belly.
This really does look fantastic and it's great to see some classic British icons being made for the sim, but I'm a little confused by the sounds of this one. The turbine sound at startup is fantastic, but once the rotor blade sounds come in, it sounds more like a Huey or other 2 bladed helicopter? No Scout or Wasp that I've ever seen had that kind of choppy rotor blade sound.
These are excellent addons... well done iniBuilds! I have a request... can we please, please, please... pretty please, have the smaller rear doors from the Wasp, and the floats too, as additional options for the Scout please???? Other requests are a radalt for the Wasp and original flat doors (no bulges) for both... but I appreciate these would all require extra modelling.
I’ve purchased the bundle and there are some issues with the radio and you can’t hear the ATC on com1 (just see the text in the ATC box), but the graphical model is fantastic and it’s a great addition to the sim. It would be really good if you could map the SAS disengage to a button/key. I tried to map it to disengage AP but it doesn’t seem to work. Where is that support ship from? Looks cool and I’d like to get it! Also, as someone else said, please get rid of the background music in the video it is distracting and unnecessary! Thank you
So, question, how do you set the transponder to squawk 7000? Supplementary question, did you do any testing? Because it took me about five minutes to notice that the transponder setting dials aren't mapped properly.
I want to know how to make the rear wheels align with the centerline of the aircraft like is shown in the manual and in the thumbnails. This is not even mentioned in the manual.

Lose power or lose lift? If you are losing engine power, check your binding and make sure it is controlling the Collective axis only and not the throttle that should be mapped separately.
The flight model looks like it's in dire need of improvements. I really hope FS2024 will be usuable - this is very sub par and more simcade than simulation. Will stay away of this.
