@@CapturedInWords We're fantasy! We roll our eyes at any fantasy books less than 800 pages. I had much the same reaction when I saw a 40+ minutes summary as I do when I see a 1000 page fantasy novel. *drool*

The king of khabarath harvesting dying people was one of my favourite twists, although he does get much time in the book, the mysterious journal entires of ‘XX seconds before death’ before each chapter being payed off like that was mind blowing
I love how everything Brandon Sanderson shows you ends up being important somewhere down the line
Favourite part of the Way of Kings must have been Dalinar explaining to Kaladin how easy a trade it was!

I’m on my second read and I’m Shallans POV on page 131 there is a line that reads “She raised her freehand to her head, suddenly overwhelmed by the weight of House Davar’s situation, her part in it, and the secret she now carried, hidden ten heartbeats away” so, so, good!
Caught that on my first read a few days ago and i audibly gasped

@@MUTV2 the shardblades take 10 seconds(/heartbeats) to appear. So saying ten heartbeats here gives us the reveal that Shallan always had a shardblade, we just didn't see it
Was literally just thinking how there's not a lot of high quality videos breaking down Stormlight's world and lore. And then this video popped up. Amazing timing!

Correction: Szeth's list says it contains highprinces, but no Alethi highprinces are specifically mentioned, they may have been highprinces from other realms
This is the best summary video out there and it's not even close. I occasionally watch it just to reminisce on how great Way of Kings is. Please continue to make Stormlight summary videos! Your hard work with this video helps me to enjoy the series as a whole since it helps me remember everything!

The Sanderlanche in this book freaking blew my mind. I read it last month and now I’m more than halfway through Words of Radiance
"Sanderlanche" is such a good way of describing the entire ending process of this book
Please do more of these for Words of Radiance and Oathbringer. I think there are some things I missed.
These are my highlights from your video:
- 23:21 this entire scene you described so well, not to mention the visuals and voice you used for the cryptic are amazing!
- 33:18 again your description for the Wandersail story was fantastic, plus props for adding the flute music, and the quote you read out.
- 45:36 I love the way you described this Dalinar vision!
Oh and also the prelude 2:51 that part was amazing as well, and helped me understand what was actually going on in the prelude
I'm only 2 minutes in to the video and, as always, the editing and explaination is absolutely outstanding.
I love this book series!! More than 150 hours for all three books combined in audiobook format!
Please make the next one just as long, or even longer, this was amazing!! ❤️❤️❤️
Now THIS is entertainment. So many fantastic artists! I've only seen a fraction of this SLA art over on pinterest. You really dug deep son. Thanks from the bottom of my ten heatbeats for this. Next time pace yourself or end up as cracked as Kal and see some Spren. Words of Radiance is my favourite of the first 3 books. I love that we get to see Kal learn his surges better and grow as a knight. The rising of the spear hero eh? Shallan is the superstar and the whole world is unlocked for more frantically eager theorycrafting. All praise Jay and his captured in words channel. Very well made video. Well made sir.

Loved your review. Watched it all. My favorite part of the way of king was when dalinar gave up his shard blade and asked kaladin what is a man's worth.
I read this on my wheel of time book series break. I just finished reading books 4 through 7. So I thought I was getting a light story to wind down from reading 2100 plus pages. Nope. This book was not. I was not prepared, but pleasantly surprised. But by the end, my head was spinning. Thank you for this video. I think after meaty books like this, videos like this are a blessing. Thank you for all of this hard work. I love your channel. You were highly recommended by the person that got me into the Wheel of Time

Even though TWOK is a slow burn the fight against the Parshendi with Dalinar and bride four was amazing to read currently reading WOR and i love this series defiantly worth a tv show.

Holy good god, that was the shortest 48 minutes ever. Thank you thank you. I had to read this book three times, just to be able to really understand how awesome it is. Plus, it only gets better. The fan art is amazing, and really brings the characters to life. I can't wait to read more, and hear more, so yes, Words of Radiance, i'm in. Again, thank you. Your in depth summary's, hearing the names pronounced, all bring the characters to life. I still marvel at Sanderson's ability to world build, and character build, plus, wondered if any characters jumped, that is now confirmed. Whoa, lots here, so much to take in. Bravo.

One note I'd add to that final chapter is the realization that "unite them" never meant the high princes, but the knights radiant.
My favorite part of the way of kings was easily wit telling the story with the flute and smoke. I'm not great at visualization, but that chapter transported me so well that it was like I was watching it, not reading it.
I’m finally getting into Sanderson’s Cosmere. After months of on and off trying, I finally finished WoK! It is a spectacular book, and I greatly appreciate the amount of time you spent to make this wonderful summary. I definitely missed a couple small details and this summary helped a lot! I’m excited to dive into the rest of Stormlight Archives and read Sanderson’s other series!

Yes please please please make one of these (this long!) for words of radiance! This was so awesome. I’m getting ready to read Oathbringer so I wanted a refresh on the first books and this was perfect!
Absolutely loved this. The visuals in particular are amazing, and the level of detail is just right to get a really comprehensive overview. It's actually really helpful for me as I'm halfway through book 2 and forgot some important stuff from the first book.

Thanks - I loved this! I read the Stormlight books about a year or two ago. This was a great summary and I'd love to see the next two done as well! This will be a good resource for those who don't have time to reread the series each time a new book comes out.

So, I’m ramping up for dragonsteel con, and have a short term memory problem. I’m trying to refresh myself on the details of some of my brando-sando reading, and this was the most thorough and wonderful summary of way of kings. This video was a service to any fans with similar disabilities, whether we were your intended audience or not. 😂 I don’t know if it’s worth it to you to make the rest…but if you ever do, I’m absolutely watching them.

I bought this book for my daughters birthday last spring and she loved it asking me to get the other 2 books on print. I’m not into fantasy books at all. I haven’t even read The Lord of the Rings, but one day I thought I would read a bit to see what I was missing. Long story short I finished the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately I’m a pretty slow reader nowadays so it took me 3 months to go through it. My memory isn’t quite as good as it used to be so this summary was perfect to help me recollect the main points. A big help before starting book 2. Thanks so much for the time and commitment to put this all together along with the nice visuals. Very much appreciated.
