No gpf here in Australia. But still have the empty shell in the exhaust. I believe acts as another resonator pretty much. So it is quieter than the other N's but not this quiet.
Oh I forgot the body style changes on the 2021 elantra suck! If I wanted to drive something that looks like a Sonata then I would buy a pre 2021 Sonata. If the elantra N has some cool styling changes and most importantly the 2.5L Turbo engine then I will go check one out in person!!!!!!
Wow, it's not AWD? I was planning one buying one and had spoken to my local dealer about putting down a deposit. They never mentioned it was FWD only. This is really disappointing.
@@drewski1441 it seems like a missed opportunity. AWD would have made this interesting. Or would make interesting any other N product. Sonata with AWD and 300hp would be epic
@@NisuUuno thank the American market. It’s so obsessed with SUVs and crossovers that just by being slightly bigger, the Kona is more appealing then the i30.
I'm sorry Hyundai. This has already been done by Mitsubishi Subaru Ford and Honda. Give us a Kona N with the new 2.5L turbo, make it selectable awd and tune it in the 380 bhp and 400 torque.

Best review of the Kona N by far! What a car!!
Electric...when?
Man I'm in love with this suv. Gonna get it after 2-3 years of it being out since first year production always have issues and recalls.
Agreed but haven't seen many issues with the Veloster N as far as I'm aware

Thanks for watching :-)
@@MotorgraphWorld keep on reviewing N's and N-line models! thanks in advance
Love the design.
The Hyundai website shows the Kona N WITHOUT the red trim!
If the car is delivered this way, I will be taking a very serious look at buying this car.
Love the brakes and wheels
Wondering if it will be available as right hand drive?
Most likely
Very interesting, I wonder how it would do on the track
The Kimchi-Machine Gun!!!
KONA N THE BARBARIAN.
Great review....how much
In S. Korea, the MSRP starts from 34,180,000 KRW (=28,904 USD)

I prefer the i20N, but this one is quite nice for SUV
I wish Hyundai used their IDA in Kona N…
I WANT THAT FACE MASK!! WHERE CAN I GET ONE???
only for those who joined Hyundai's driving event :-)
@@MotorgraphWorld I have 2 Hyundai’s does that count?
What’s the 0-60?

Kona N? No. Kona Electric? Yes.
Dang. I love it!

@@MotorgraphWorld wow! I hope so that would be cost.
appreciate the review
The Kona N is missing something very crucial: four wheel drive.
Can't agree more!

I don't think that's an SUV. Its a lifted hatchback, especially since it has FWD. Dont really see any reason to buy this instead of i30 N
They don’t have i30 in the US
@@1209MArky that sucks. But US get all the good engines at least. Here in Europe we can only dream about the 2.5T. Not offered.
I do agree, it is not an SUV I would compare to the new mini Cooper.

£36k in the UK. I'd rather take the Cupra Formentor/Ateca. More power and build quality x 10
Apart from not as fast, don't look as good and doesn't come with a 5 year warranty.

IS THAT A SUPRA?!
To bad it's not AWD.
Agree 100%.
IT SHOULD'VE BEEN AWD!!!! NO POINT OF MAKING AN N SUV WITH NO AWD OPTION! No difference between their SEDANS AND HATCHBACKS.
It’s AWD at least some
