Guiness my husband's favorite beer. My daughter got him an adequate supply for his 80th birthday Christmas eve. we have a small farm in Oregon USA and he still maintains everything including equipment. Maybe something to be said good for Guiness.

When your Da was saying about electricity, my grandfather had paraffin lamps and heaters, and the milkman and coalman had big Clydesdale horses and carts, and then lorry's started to turn up. I do hope your Dad gets another 4 wheel drive, that last bit of video was scary, when the wheels started loosing traction 😮 I hope you've all have had a lovely Christmas ⛄🎁🎄🥃❤

I your father reminds me of him he is the spit of him, so that's why i think you should call the pup Magnum. All the best in 2024.
My grandmother always said electricity and water came into the house in 65, after they got married I think. There was the old house here in the yard also, then was the cow stall, then the calf shed, half is still for calves now but other half just storage. All old buildings had many lives I'd say 😂
Do ye get much hassle from dogs in the forestry? Here in Tipp you couldn’t have sheep about the forestry with the amount of walkers with loose dogs! Happy Christmas to you all 🎉

Snap, I was thinking the same "A new dog and handling unit". Te Pari is probably the best company globally when it comes to stock-handling equipment. I was Dairy Farming in the Waikato but changed to Beef Farming here in Nelson. It's nice you love NZ, and of course, there are no better two countries than NZ and Ireland.
If yea are looking for a jeep/pickup for the farm try Irish Machinery Auctions. They have a few pickup they're at the moment. Very rough looking but they'll do. Take her handy. 👍

Over here straight across the water at a place called Cape Breton Island, it's awful wet this year here in Inverness county. We have a 135 with a snowblower on it. I am trying to bring the old farm to live with Textal/ highland black face cross, I will be in the south of Ireland in July to a wedding I will try to have a visit. If I can I will e-mail the channel.

Merry Christmas Glyn to you and your entire family. I know you've recently got back into cattle and apparently mainland Britain is having big problems with bovine TB. Tom Pemberton just did a 3 part series on what they've had to go through after one of their dairy cows tested positive. I thought you might be interested in checking it out. Of course Ireland has different laws etc, but it's better to be armed with knowledge. Also the fencing on the mountain, could you hire a pole driver or something for a day or two to get the fence sorted?

@sheepshepherd I hope you don't get it either. Tom and his family have never had TB before in over 50 years. Just before the positive test result, they'd seen a lot of deer around the outskirts of their farm and suspect that could be a source of the infection because they have a closed herd. The cow that tested positive was pregnant, too. 😕

Snap, I was thinking the same "A new dog and handling unit". Te Pari is probably the best company globally when it comes to stock-handling equipment. I was Dairy Farming in the Waikato but changed to Beef Farming here in Nelson. It's nice you love NZ, and of course, there are no better two countries than NZ and Ireland.

Over here straight across the water at a place called Cape Breton Island, it's awful wet this year here in Inverness county. We have a 135 with a snowblower on it. I am trying to bring the old farm to live with Textal/ highland black face cross, I will be in the south of Ireland in July to a wedding I will try to have a visit. I know you've recently got back into cattle and apparently mainland Britain is having big problems with bovine TB. Tom Pemberton just did a 3 part series on what they've had to go through after one of their dairy cows tested positive. I thought you might be interested in checking it out. Of course Ireland has different laws etc, but it's better to be armed with knowledge.
Also the fencing on the mountain, could you hire a pole driver or something for a day or two to get the fence sorted?

@sheepshepherd I hope you don't get it either. Tom and his family have never had TB before in over 50 years. Just before the positive test result, they'd seen a lot of deer around the outskirts of their farm and suspect that could be a source of the infection because they have a closed herd. The cow that tested positive was pregnant, too. 😕
