It has a cute little smile, hands held together ready to help and also is just so pure, sweet and charmingly innocent! I would LOVE to add it to my collection 🥺❤️

Heckuva throwback, Pokemon was a huge part of my childhood and had binders full of cards that were unceremoniously recycled by my parents while I was in college (including a Pikachu collection with some very rare Japanese releases and misprints). I had a holographic ancient mew and promo Mewtwo from the release of The First Movie, but of the ones pulled today, Zapdos, was my favorite and one of my childhood favorites as well.
Scyther has been my favorite Pokemon since I was a kid. Still is. But close seconds are the OG Gyrados, OG Zapdos, and OG Mewtwo. All beautiful pulls. Awesome way to kick off 2024. Thanks for doing so much for the community. You are awesome!

The Zapdos speaks to me! Loved that one growing up! Always preferred him from the other two legendary bird Pokémon! Got back into collecting recently so having a vintage card would be sick!

Mewtwo’s great! Remember as a kid going into the cave in Pokemon red to catch it and making sure to save before the encounter in case you run out of pokeballs lol
Without a doubt the best holo pull was the Zapdos. Always wanted to get that one as a kid, the dark background and contrasting bolts of lightning around that first gen Zapdos art is just so striking, makes it look really powerful like a legendary bird should be.
My favorite holo is Hitmonchan (edit: if its not in video i love chansey and clefable for same reason! haha) because I love the evolution line and I enjoy this mon in a way that makes it exciting for me. I cross reference loads of pokemon and it makes me happy.

For Christmas, my son received the Scarlett/Violet set and wanted to know more about the different sets and cards. Let him watch your every set pack opening video and he fell in love with Pokémon and your channel. He wanted to win something but a lot of those videos were well beyond the giveaway and promised him I would do one if it was within a few days of video release. So, promised kept. He loves the Mewtwo card because it reminds him of his mother’s set when she was a kid that he looks through every day. As a dad, thank you for making your channel family friendly. My favorite has to be gyarados! The whole story of the karp who goes up the waterfall becoming a dragon is one of my most beloved, you can always get back on top if you belive!
