I recently got the Marlin 5 Model 2022 in Grey! This is my 1st mountain bike and I absolutely love this bike. I got a size small, I am 5'7. I'm 55, 5' 5" tall and just bought a 2022 Marlin 5 in (S) Lithium Grey today! I'm so excited. I think I'm going to LOVE this bike. Absolutely beautiful bike!
I was going to go for the Verve 3 but I changed my mind for this Marlin 5 2022 because of the suspension in the front and the fatter tires. The roads here where I m are uphills and bumpy. So that looks promising.
Imagine my disappointment when I got home after believing I saw a golden opportunity with all three colors... To find out there's a fourth color. Almost nailed this one.
I too just got one of my kids (15yo son) a red Marlin 5. He's 5'8" so we got him a size ML. I already ride a Marlin 7 and am 5'10" but have a L, though the ML fits me better. While I set my 7 up to ride on trails the 5 is still not trail capable IMO. This is more of a commuter IMO.
