I live in Wenatchee! The other day I went to my bank and asked for loose half dollars as part of my change and the teller handed me 3 silver halves out of 7 total. Two '64s and a '69. I was stoked! I am surprised you were here, but happy we made the highlights. The tellers tell me that there are many collectors that come in to Banner and buy their rolls. They have a free coin machine for bank account holders and I use it 1 to 2 times a week to keep me hunting in my spare time. Cheers!
That’s crazy. I forgot if I mentioned in this video, but that’s where I found 3 full rolls of 90 percent silver. One of the best highs of my life haha

I have had good luck at my FCU. They order halves for me. Ive only received two boxes as I’ve only just started hunting in the last month or so and I’ve pulled one 40% and a few dozen NIFC already. I plan on picking up a few boxes this next week to go through over the Thanksgiving holiday.

To recap the 1st portion of your clip;
1. You stated that the 1964’s at all mints - (Kennedys) were 90% silver.
2. That from 1965 to 1970 all half dollars at all mints were struck containing 40% silver /silver clad planchets.
3. That from 1971 forward there was no silver/ silver clad. However some of these 1971 coins were struck on 40% silver planchets
Question. What is the weight of a 1971 40% silver 1971 vs. no silver half dollar?

Great video! I'm a beginner, any advice on a perfect long-term strategy of how to pick up the boxes from the bank and where to drop off? will the bank allow a repeated pick up and drop off over and over for a regular account, not a coin dealer. Will apricate your comment. Thanks
I pick up boxes at chase and wells fargo. You usually have to call them to place an order. Then, I dump them rerolled at BOFA. I think I talk about this somewhat in this video as well: ruclips.net/video/oxsE9MrwvQ0/видео.html&ab_channel=ragingfury555

Yes you do usually. There are some exceptions though like Chase bank that’ll usually give up to $100 of coins without an account.
I'm confused, one place says that bicentennials are 40%, the other says they're just worth face value. Can you please explain?
Sure. So some bicentennials were made with 40 percent silver because it was a special commemorative year. They will have an S mint and may be a proof as well. They are fairly uncommon though, so make sure to do the sound test and edge test to make sure the one you found is silver. I've done hundreds of boxes and never found one. However, I know plenty of people who have found them, so they are out there.

I usually just return them rerolled, most banks like that better.
How do you get rid of your common 50 cent pieces cuz most coin counting machines don't take Kennedy half dollars? You can't take 500 coins to a bank can you?
I take back full 500$ boxes. I rotate between a few branches and never more than 1 box at a time.

Sometimes. It can save you the trip of going to the bank.
I cant seem to get a box. No banks wants to order them. One bank said they only order $1000 minimum and u have to have a vank account with them and have to order on Monday to recieve on Wednesday. But that was the only bank that even considered ordering them. I went to one today and they had $535 which is more than a box but they would only sell me $100 wth?
Yeah that’s how it works. A lot of banks will only sell in bulk. This is good though. I usually order several thousand dollars when I pick up halves so it works well for me.

@@kamoroso94 to different banks that have a lower probability of silver. I would also call banks ahead of time and if they didn’t have halves I would dump my discards there later

Banks usually don't have any, especially in urban areas. You just need volume (asking a lot of banks and consistently). Additionally, you can order them which is what I do.

You can make a business account and then they’ll be forced to give you coins. You can also just try other branches.

Why not wear gloves? Why trust someone who is handling potentially valuable coins but not wearing gloves? And please forgive me, but you really need to slow down.
Hmmm... Most of these coins are valued by their silver value. Therefore, you don't really need gloves. I wear gloves for older, more valuable stuff like capped bust halves, etc.
