And think about it, this is a corporate truck making 1425 hp, independent's like Scott Hartsock and Gunslinger making 1550 hp, Randy Moore (who doesn't own War Wizard anymore) 1700 hp, Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter 1900 to 2000 hp and the Hall Brothers making 2000 hp easy.

I bet if you took the time, and changed the shocks and stuff to launch instead of go 80 ft in the air. Then put on tires that would hook a little better, it would be scary fast for such a big vehicle.

A monster truck onna drag strip is everything I never knew I needed
A friend of mine that moved to Canada from Europe never understood why Americans and Canadians love Monster Trucks, I told him to go to a Monster Jam event, he did, I asked him what he thought and he said
"i understand now, on tv it doesnt look all that impressive, but when you are watching it in the stands and see these huge trucks get lots of air it made me excited"

Offroad Addict yeah, most monster truck use Chevy big blocks that put out 1500hp that can go 70 mph but hall bros racing ( Raminator, Rammunition, Hotsy ) use Hemi motors that put out 2500hp that explains why nobody else can come close to their top speed.
Gearing is key. In small arena setups they won't go more than like 25-30. In stadium, 70 is possible. Also most trucks run some interpretation of a powerglide where they only have the two gears that slow them down
Dalton Adams yeah they’re not designed to be fast in a straight line. Just like stadium off road trucks they’re meant to go fast around the corners

This bringing back memories of way old NYS fairground monster truck racing I watched as a kid. Two straight lanes with a speed bump at start followed up with a jump and 4-5 crush cars. Two of these trucks, ripping down the track in 10 seconds. Awesome vid. Dennis Anderson would know all about that track, I've got a couple old old flags and t-shirts signed by him and everyone else who was there. Weedsport speedway too, two straight lanes.
Bit of my soul died when they tore down those grand stands at the NYS fairgrounds. Least they went out with a boom.
