    I'm slowly starting to know most of the photo spots in the city. Only another 10 or 15 years to go.

      That would make a great location for Hidden Photo Tours

      Keep acquiring that local knowledge, ideal for a Snell Media workshop (photo and video). Great images Greg and really impressed with the early results of the new lens. I keep glancing at the Canon 11-24mm and watching your video just makes the GAS harder to ignore 😬

    Cool building, cool images, cool video/editing and, obviously, cool lens that is great for your ability and styles. Good one, Greg!

    It's comforting that you do architectural photography videos on a regular basis. 😁

    Seeing all those nice angles, I think I should visit Hamburg again sometime :-) Last time I visited, I didn't have much time to explore and just did the obvious spots. Great shots in this video!

    Loved the images, impressive. And thank you for tethering the camera to your wrist. Being old and cheap I get nervous when seeing situations where the camera could take such a big fall, even when it is not my camera. lol.

    Some beautiful architecture in those buildings. Digging that rotating screen on the A7R5. I was so happy to see you using the wrist strap. Safety first! LOL

    The camera did a pretty good job with those staircases! Seeing some of those staircases look like artistic windows at times!

    That 12mm is superwide and for the interiors you are capturing is a great buy. The results speak for themselves , great images.

      Lee!! I agree. It's a great addition to the kit for a number of awesome interiors I visit. 16mm just wasn't getting it done. 12 though on this lens keeps the lines nice and straight and the results are amazing.

    Amazing Greg... would you say having the extra 3 or 4 mm width over a 16 mm lens makes such a big difference enough to warrant the extra cost?

    • @gregorsnell
      @gregorsnell  Год назад +1

      For me yes. Especially with interior architecture 👍

    Have you considered a tilt-shift, or does the 12-24 make it unnecessary?

    • @gregorsnell
      @gregorsnell  Год назад

      Hi Tom!! I have considered one but like the wide angle zoom capabilities better. At least for me. Plus I don't think Sony makes a native tilt shift for E mount. Lots of third party options though I'm sure.

    Danke für das Review, hast du das mal im Vergleich zum Sony 14mm 1.8 getestet? Würde mich interessieren. Ich hab das 14mm und überlege mir das 12-24 2.8 als 2. Objektiv für mehr Flexibilität. Grüße aus Villach (Österreich). Flo

      Moin Flo. I have tested that lens for Astro in Bolivia. It was sharp as fuck. Very very good glass that 14mm G Master 1.8.

    • @gregorsnell
      @gregorsnell  3 месяца назад

      @@thephotodetective8507 Nein, ich habe das 20mm 1,8 für Vlogging. Das 14mm wäre für mich das Beste für Astro. Aber im Moment brauche ich es nicht.

    You can find place for filters at the bottom of the lens

    I think you should at least mention which of the two 12-24 mm by Sony the video is about either in the title or at the start of the video.

    Way to alienate more than 50% of the population with "that's what she said" puns. Thumbed down, not subbing.
