i haven't come across a band that's gotten me this excited over sound in a long long time. i'm a devoted fan forever. it's like kyuss, zepplin, and MGMT had a music baby. love it.
I have been jamming this song for a decade, easily. Might be my favorite song ever. Cant describe in words what it makes me feel... The Bongo/drum sequence just sends me...
the intro of this song reminds me a little of Sleep's "Dopesmoker". Distortion and a very moving and spontaneous drum playing... to all of you folks who'll say "this is too far away" - so is Hendrix.
AGREED.... me @ 53... Same.... Bands that I discovered in past year... a Few... Wicked Lady,[ Two Albums 70*71.Germany]. LAVA,[ 71* One Album Tears are going home.], Bakerloo 69*,One Album Self Titles... Check out Son of Moonshine....... Buffalo 1970 [ Volcanic Rock ]....... Just to name a few........
wake me on the softer side of heaven in a land of healty minds light, carry me high float me down west of the lazy river before these heavy stones sink our soaring heads breathless morning put your head in my hands night grows stele by the break of the dawn take me where you're eyes are always blooming the golden leaves, the red pine trees what dreams may come i wonder where we'll wind up when its over falling like the stars right out of heavens mouth breatless morning…
This is one Killer CD. Sorry to hear that the Chick Singer is no longer with the Band. In the Case of Sleepy Suns Music, she really added something to it.
These guys killed it when I saw em in chicago in 2011 with the buffalo killers, the steepwaterband, and waterstreet. They still blew my mind outta my ass even though they ditched the chick singer
I had been the only member that wasn't being credited or paid. when I asked for a mental health break they told me if I left the band I wasn't welcome back! chill guys ha....
Wha-?! You have to be 21 or older to go to a concert in the USA? Jesus fuck I'm glad I live in Europe. We start going to concerts (without parents around!) at, like, fourteen or younger.

sounds a bit like dead meadow, the intro sounds like for example beyond the fields we know or sleepy silver door with the fuzz and stuff, and the singing sounds more trippy like the album feathers of dead meadow :D
I love psychedelic music where the drums sound very prominent, especially the cymbals and snare.

If this was made in 1967, this would be major hit. Brilliant song, thank God for new psychedelic rock bands. Peace!
esta cancion me desbloqueo un recuerdo de mi yo de hace unos años 2016 y de verdad amo haberme encontrado con bandas tan psicodelicas!!!
la llevo escuchando desde 2016 nunca a salido de mi playlist....
starting the day with a cuppa earl grey and sleepy sun, couldnt ask for much more. peace and love my brothers and sistas.
Peace!

I dug into a message thread from 2012 to remember the name of this band. Took me an hour. So fucking glad I found it just for this song
Feels good to be named Marina right about now
oh goodness I've revealed my identity
@@firewalker1121lol it’s a sick name
I can't Believe BANDS LIKE THIS STILL EXIST, at first i thought they were core 60's band, But WOW, they opened my mind right away :D
hair rising… goosebumps… tingling down spine… love this ❤
this song has so many different feelings but then its resolved by the verse, for example the rock, then harmonica...so cool man,, just dig it!
the intro of this song reminds me a little of Sleep's "Dopesmoker". Distortion and a very moving and spontaneous drum playing... to all of you folks who'll say "this is too far away" - so is Hendrix.
I remember a very special person with this song, Laura you always will live in my hearth.
Why did you burn her?
Ah man... Did I hear this in the sixties..just kidding.😂 LOVING IT, man... Excellent 👍❤️
I hadnt smoked for two months before I went to the show last week, and I decided I really needed to smoke a joint right then and there

30 years old, just found this amazing band.
wake me on the softer side of heaven
in a land of healty minds
light, carry me high
float me down west of the lazy river
before these heavy stones sink our soaring heads
breathless morning put your head in my hands
night grows stele by the break of the dawn
take me where you're eyes are always blooming
the golden leaves, the red pine trees
what dreams may come
i wonder where we'll wind up when its over
falling like the stars right out of heavens mouth
breatless morning…
I am so excited for you guys. Photographed back in 2009? Treasure Island. Sounds amazing.
So many memories, hitchhiking to the sea.. My 17 years... ❤️
Eu viajo demais ouvindo essa música. Nota 1000!
Get to see them on 4/20 in Chicago!!!
Never heard a voice so sweet and so feminine. It's a god damn shame there's not much more!
This is "Sleepy Sun's "sound, unique, clever, good drums and a new vision! Two thumbs up!
Amazed to find they formed in 2007; Thought it was much before that!
I swear I can hear the vocal line "It's been a hard days night and I've been working like a dog" in the guitar riff at the start.
Love it! Just heard it on 6 Music (where most good music gets played now it seems!) Cheers Lauren Laverne!
WTF THIS SO GOOD WHY DIDNT I KNOW ABOUT THIS but for real im loving this
So beautiful, psychedelic whirlwind.
the starting vocals are just fuKING awesomeeeeee
Warmer tones than before, outline flushes free! Free of light, free of me
Still makes my ears smile 💜

A lil bit of Santana lml
Definitely Santana. As well as Steppenwolf. And Black Sabbath. And English folk-rock. Pretty much everything under the musical sun that I adore.
These guys killed it when I saw em in chicago in 2011 with the buffalo killers, the steepwaterband, and waterstreet. They still blew my mind outta my ass even though they ditched the chick singer
These guys should tour with Black Mountain. That would be epic.

Reminds me of Jefferson Airplane
SLEEPY SUN play at ELDORADO MUSIC FESTIVAL the 16th of september in PARIS
Recommend!
φάκιν όσαμ!
spot on monkeyfuninc!
I feel your pain... most bands that play in Chicago are always 21 years or older. Sucks.

Sick

Yes, so it is haha !!
Only if the venue is serving alchohol
Isabell sent me here.

Wtf is goin on, this is, whuuuuuuuuuut, this is, whuuuuuuuuut. Godlike, shiuuu. Need a long brake after this.
Why is there 4 long ass minutes of silence
sounds a lilbit like the black angels
@TumbrelJockey It's never gonna stop happening. Tall poppies and a lack of scope will do it every time.. ;-)
I'm would be seeing these guys in 3 days if the concert wasn't FUCKING 21 YEARS OR OLDER
My
@mirahvk hahaha no it doesn't dude. Of course it's not credited. Just because they have feedback on the guitar, doesn't mean it's from Hendrix
sounds a bit like dead meadow, the intro sounds like for example beyond the fields we know or sleepy silver door with the fuzz and stuff, and the singing sounds more trippy like the album feathers of dead meadow :D
is this live?
Drugs!!
Who's the artist behind that cover????! please!
What sorts of pedals do I get to acquire a sound like this?
I think one of then is the big muff
but that's my favourite song by Simon & Garfunkel :(
I hated 6:18 - 9:18
