- Could it be? A recently renovated Ramada with clean rooms and a friendly staff? It sure seemed that way before I stripped the beds and looked at the bathroom...

oh boy now we're having the rare occasion where the elevator channels Hotel review becomes his version of Dan Bell's another dirty room
LOL 😂
Dan Bell is sad, his stuff was great when he first came out, then it all went to his head :/ This guy is 1000x better. None of his weird creepy ANNOYING friends screaming like bitches over how dirty shit is. Jacob is just on point.
@@GETINLOSER I miss the old episodes of that show where it was a legitimate review of hotel rooms. I stopped watching when they started destroying stuff to be funny.
dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the new series on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my brother for the last couple of months =)
@Rowan Lyle yup, been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :D
I rather smell BBQ than BO.
As for the bed issue, remember it’s still a Ramada......
This is the Walmart of hotel reviews. Thank you for your service!
For someone who is from Iowa, I must say: Welcome to Iowa!
Ummmmmm, I have lived in iowa and I still do. Don't u mean: "For someone who's not from Iowa, I must say: Welcome to Iowa!"?
I live in Iowa too welcome, visitors!!
Congratulations on 40,000 subscribers!
i live in a suburb of Des moines and have delivered food for uber eats/doordash to this place. The lobby and hallways look pretty nice, but had never seen a room here. Don't think I will see one after seeing this video lol....This place has also been a best western in the past. Last couple years it's changed names several times which is usually not a good sign
Howdy, awesome video as always Jacob! This hotel is all over the place and could be nice if they tried!😸😻😸
This video deserves more views and likes.
Always like an exterior shot but understand that is not always possible. Hotel rooms like these, and I have "HAD" to stay in a few over the years, make me glad I have my own room anywhere I travel. As an otr truck driver, I have my "Mobile Man Cave" just behind the driver's seat. Television, radio, sat-radio, sat-internet, vcr, dvd, dvr, computer games, fridge, micro, hot plate, crock-pot, steamer pressure cooker, and toilet/shower combo. Thanks for the videos. Are you going to have train travel stuff coming up? Love your train travel videos. Not sure how the chinese flu has affected/effected/infected Amtrak. Be safe and thanks again for taking time to post these videos.
There's always google maps street view.
You should do a revisit of Days Inn Norfolk airport
At one time, the Ramada hotels were known as being a somewhat higher-end roadside motel. My grandparents always insisted on staying at them when on long road trips. It seems like they have been on a decline over the last few decades.
I was thinking the same thing. They were competitive with Holiday Inns as far as business and higher end travelers were concerned. Definitely not the Motel 6/Super 8/Econolodge level that they're at now.
1970s were their heyday...i remember...they were consistently very good and usually the properties were fairly new at the time .
There’s a holiday inn slightly closer
How disappointing for guests in my home State! I still appreciate your channel! It's been a couple of years since I've been over to Des Moines. Keep up the great videos! Mark in Iowa.
replacing the bed sheets would help.
@@SamSitar I would definitely agree! That was sad, disappointing, and disgusting.
Sam Sitar what room number is he touring in this video?
What else can I say about those rooms?
It's rare that I see a hotel in your videos in which I have stayed. I was there a little over a year ago, staying for three nights in early January 2020. Like you, I had to move rooms. The bed throw was disgustingly dirty and the room stank of weed. I will certainly not be returning there!
The thing with Wyndham hotels there is a lot of inconsistency with the brands you get one Days Inn that is very outdated and one that looks like a holiday inn express
Those beds sure were stained. Will there be a Trip Report video to go with this hotel video or did you drive to get here?
Ramada’s are usually run down hotels. They are never that great and a lot of company’s stay there. Just weird hotels and very hit or miss. Another great review as always!
Move rooms just because there are some old dried stains on a mattress? I mean, your sensibilities and your call…also, it’s a Ramada, I feel like the first room is BETTER than I expected from a budget chain. As long as the all sheet layers were clean I would be ok…
I don’t really like Ramada. Stayed with them once bc we had an early flight over at IAH, and the room smelled really bad, was super dirty. But one good thing was that the workers were good and the room was big, considering that we have a family of seven
honestly I would get anther room too. these issues aren't the most horrific thing ive seen but its certainly not acceptable to me to have dirty mattresses and maintenance issues in the bathroom
You didn't mention it but there was a very audible low groaning noise in the second room.. maybe coming from the AC. I would find that very irritating.
I can proudly say the hotel room I'm currently staying in is a lot cleaner than this!
RIP English at the end.
Man that hotel is one I would avoid
The part of Des Moines near the airport is not the good part of Des Moines
I bet a lot of joggers are around that area...surprised the bed didnt smell like jerri curl
I pass by that every time I go to my aunts.
If I saw all that stains like that I would request a different room
Seriously, what do you expect from a Ramada?
Maybe the brown stains on the mattresses are coffee?
Those signs.....lol.
Here’s some advice for
Looking for bed bugs , lifting up is NOT how you find them , beg bugs are usually
Found in the nuts and crannies, which means the crevices of mattress.
Other than that I enjoyed the video
Ramada is a very weird and inconsistent brand..... There are some that are very nice and on par with Hamptons and others that are flat out disgusting and sketchy. It seems this one is trying to fool it's customers into thinking they're staying in a nice hotel, but they're clearly failing when it comes to cleanliness. It's sad and laughable at the same time. I wouldn't entirely say avoid Ramada like the plague, but proceed with caution.... As in, do research on the one you're thinking about staying at before booking.
I think whoever made those sign don't know English well.
There's this motel in Clive, Iowa (suburb of Des Moines) called the Sterling Hotel and Suites and used to be called Chase Suite.
i've delivered doordash food to there. that place is scary
Oh no it's this hotel... it's always looked sketchy from the outside.
Hello!
TBH, this hotel looks kinda creepy.
Um
If I had known y’all were here, again, I would have steered y’all away from here. Big Als is good but that’s about it.
Yep, yet another winner of Jacob's "Dirty Mattress" award. Or I should say "Mattresses".
omg welcome to des moines wow you still in des moines i live here lol
That bathrobe was creepy as hell! They need to call an Exorcist.
Looks a little bit creepy
Wow this is a early review lol.
And over 100 views as well
During a pandemic you’d imagine the hotels to be closed
Why should people go out of business "because of the (alleged) pandemic"? Nobody went to such destructive lengths during Ebola, H1N1, or SARS! So there is no justification to go to destructive lengths over an illness that has a 98% recovery rate!
Your first mistake was staying at a Ramada.
If I was walking to my room and heard a dog barking, I'd be back to the front desk.
Ramada Inn; or any brand from Wyndham all had better days from private ownership. These brand names = no standards; same goes with Days Inn; Howard Johnson's; Travelodge - blah I would never consider any of them unless the reviews were favorable.
I don't understand why he stays at all these dive-bomb properties and then complains and changes rooms over a few stains on a mattress? Who cares! There are so many layers protecting you from it. The stains are old and dry. It's not like somebody just took a dump on the mattress and then threw sheets over it. Way too picky and particular. Next time, stay at the Four Seasons. You have champagne taste on a beer budget.
Mr patel you must own this property.lol
3/10
I've stayed at worse lol
*Looks like it should be called Patel Motel* lol
it’s hotel tour not review
I think Ramada Inns are loosing money
Not really
The Ramada Inn in my hometown is gone
EWWWWWW !!!!
